Schianos Restaurant

We moved to Raleigh from CT in 2008 and quickly discovered a critical shortage of real Italian pizza down here like we had back home. Schiano's was the first good pie we found, and we became instant regulars for Friday night delivery while we lived nearby on Norwood Rd. Having moved across town about 8 years ago, I hadn't been by there in a long time, but I happened to be nearby running an errand at dinnertime this evening. I wasn't sure if they were still in business and was pleasantly surprised to find they survived the flash recession brought on by COVID that took out so many family-owned businesses. The heavenly aroma that filled my senses as I walked in the door tonight brought back memories of Friday night dinners of long ago, when my children were still children. After all this time, Schiano's still makes one of the best pizzas in Raleigh. And they're really nice people, too.Edit: It really bothered me to read that someone thought it was her duty to publicly shame this business over their mask policy. I wear a mask because I believe it might protect me from COVID. But I recognize every other person's right to decide that for themselves. If she wants to stay out over the mask issue that's her prerogative. But to put a small business on blast and mess with their reputation when nobody there has wronged her is twisted and ignorant, in my opinion.

45 minutes to make a small pizza and a sandwich. Mistake made, lesson learned, never again.

I usually don't write reviews but the pizza was amazing! I almost went to Dominos but after seeing all the bad reviews we decided on trying here instead, worth it. So because the bad reviews of one placed steered me to here I figured I would write a good one for here in return!:)

This is one of our favorite pizza places in the area so far! They are reasonably priced for the amount of pizza you get and it's good! We typically stick to the basic cheese and pepperoni, and we have tried the margarita which is very good. This is our new regular pizza spot for those nights you just don't want to cook!

Good pizza, probably the only good delivery pizza I've found actually. Moved from Miami and schianos is one of the few places that can give me my pizza fix. Good family owned business.

Challenging to place an order here. Started taking my order then put the phone down and started talking to another customer. So rude. Put you on hold forever or either don't answer. Maybe implement a better system for people to order.

I have ordered pizza here for 20 plus years. It's the closest thing to New York style pizza in this area. I've never been disappointed, it's always delicious

Love this little family owned pizza place. I come in all the time for a piece of pizza, served piping, hot and large enough for two meals. Have not had the same luck with their entrées, pasta does not appear to be fresh cooked for example. But for pizza, this is my go-to local place.

Excellent NY style pizza. Best in Raleigh as far as I am concerned. The calzones and wings are also outstanding. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.
