Schenk's Family Bakery

Oh my. I just tasted my first cake from this bakery at the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event. I am SO bummed that living all the way in NJ will make it difficult for me to eat here every day. Absolutely delicious sheet cake! And I am a self-proclaimed sheet cake snob.Highly, highly recommended. Many thanks to this bakery for their generous support of a good cause. I am a new avid fan! Perhaps even their biggest fan. I even dreamed about the cake last night! I kid you not.

It was a quick stop for a few treats before arriving at our final destination and Schenk's was close by ~ so we decided to give them a try. The doughnuts looks delicious and they did not disappoint ~ one vanilla frosted and one creme filled ~ both were fresh and really hit the spot! The cookies were purchased for three little snack connoisseurs and we got thumbs up with tremendously huge smiles for the cheeseburger and hot dog cookies. Thank you Schenk's for doing all the work and making us look so good!

Nice bakery not far from where I grew up in NE Philly. I got a donut. It was Mother's Day and the line was long.

The cookies are prob the best thing they have here. Ive had the cake and the donuts and they are just eh. The cakes are too sweet, and the icing they use has a strange taste. My family loves this bakery, but they are so hit or miss with their baked goods.

STALE !!!!!! I tried to support the local small business but too many times they sold me stale doughnuts. The final straw was when I paid at least $2.50 each for two cookie monster cupcakes and one of them was HALF THE SIZE of the other, yet there were at least a dozen more proportioned of equal size to the bigger one remaining in the case ! Why on earth would you give anyone a cupcake that small and its clear to see that its abnormal. This neighborhood has predominately white folks living here. Being African American I can't help but feel like this was intentional. If the majority of your customers are white why should you care if I return ?You saw an opportunity to get rid of the ugly duckling cupcake and if that wasn't your intent it would not have been sold to me or in the case to begin with .The salesperson was not blind .

Usually a good time. The cakes are consistently yummy and the hours are reasonable. The location is great and the staff is always friendly.One time I visited and wanted a standard poundcake or cupcake with chocolate but they didn't have any on display. That wasn't a big deal until they told me that they usually don't have that stocked. Not okay but what do I know.

Oh.my.God. We ordered a Taylor Swift themed cake and what a treat! Chef's kiss to Schenk's! It was sooooo good! Perfection! I want to create an occasion just to order another cake from them! We recommend Schenk's 100%, and the doughnuts and pastries are delectable as well! Go there!

I began ordering from this bakery about 13 years ago. I ordered many cakes that were always outstanding in decor and flavor. I am not sure what has happened but they no longer provide the same service. The decor is horrible and the flavor isn't like it once was.

Fox Chase favourite place to go!!! Always good !! I am partial for the lemon meringue pie !!

have bought a few specialty cakes from here, our wedding cake and daughter's sweet 16 cake. both were beautiful, amazin and delicious . have bought other goodies there over the 20+ years of living in the NE and never disappoints! the owners are amazing and the staff sweet as can be. they really help put together and idea as well.
