Must go True South Philadelphia Italian food. The owner and the waiters were excellent and this is exactly the place I'd go to experience what Italian food was meant to be!!Great food and location

The food and service was extraordinary delicious and they are very friendly and accommodating. It's BYOB which i like and the ambiance was beautiful.

The servers were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I had the pear ravioli with honey sauce and prosciutto. The food was very fresh and authentic. Not a lot of other diners the day we chose, calm family restaurant.

I have to say it's been quite awhile since I was last at this restaurant. So glad that I went with my Airbnb manager and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff was great, service spot on.Most definitely will return soon.

Mark, is a very attentive and friendly waiter. His suggestions are usually spot on. The clams casino are as close to my grandmother's as I've had! Either of the porkchop offerings are fantastic. There used to be a restaurant every other block like this in South Philly. Still some great places. This place sits right up there with the best of them!

Try the veal.... It's the best in the city. Got a reservation for 10 on a Sunday with Birds on the road so we missed the first half but well worth it. Remember it's cash only but there is an ATM there. BYOB. Staff was laid back and accommodated the under 10 year olds with us.

Been going to this restaurant for years and their food is really good. The portions are a nice size and the service is always really good. The prices are fair esp because it is a BYOB. A South Philly gem I highly recommend Scannicchio's if you want great Italian food in South Philly. Place is small and kind of loud so not a great place to go to have serious convos though.

I was invited here last week for dinner. The owner/manger, a fairly pleasant, if unsmiling man, takes the orders and various minions emerge from the kitchen with the food. The shared clams casino were horrible. Our various pasta dishes were ok, it's just regular dried, not fresh pasta. The pistachio sponge dessert was really boring as well. Having read most of the reviews I can understand why it's not exactly a diverse patronage and it's disturbing to read about the black couple's experience. It is very white and cliquey and really a strange vibe for such a diverse city as ours. It's cash only and, for a BYO, fairlypricey. I was glad to leave.

A South Philadelphia institution. Food is delicious, staff is great, perfect location, too. I'll be back!

Five stars for this little gem. The food, the service, everything was excellent. We ordered the clams casino (literally best I've had in years), the meatballs (phenomenal- light sauce and ricotta), the stuffed calamari (wow!), tortellini and bananas foster. Everything was SO good. Can't wait to go back! Remember byob and cash!
