Savory Souled Out

As much as I appreciate fine dining experiences, my first and foremost intention when eating is to make my belly happy. This place is THAT! I googled "breakfast" and saw the reviews so I headed over, only to pull up to the Exxon.....I was like.....we really about to do this???? I was hungry and feeling risky. so I entered. The smell inside was real classic. I could smell the soul of the butter on the grill. I had the fish and grits with toast and eggs. Service was friendly and engaging. shared a few laughs Food was GOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!! don't play yourself. Get that gas and then get a plate!

They make the best fish and grits. They also added cheese eggs and I am now in love. Not sure of the hours. We tried going on a Saturday Morning at 10:30 and they were closed. I was so sad. I wish they would update their times online. Still hands down the best fish and grits.

Great food especially out of a gas station. I love the chicken sausage. Good customer service I always call in ahead and they have it hot and ready when I get there. They are my go to breakfast spot before work.

I love the food!!!! Best mom and pop restaurant ever!!! I cannot stop eating there. Food is always hot and fresh!!! And cooked with soul!!!! The service is very friendly and i go back every morning or work lol

Food was good, service a bit slow but I guess you can expect that since it was inside a gas station.

We had the opportunity to visit recently. The fish and grits was amazing! You will definitely love this place!

Service sucks lady taking order is disrespectful. Stood in line behind a customer and she kept stoping him while he was ordering to take phone orders . Naw I'm good as a black man I would not patronage this type of bad service ever.

I was meeting a friend not far from here and he was late. He suggested I "go to the Exxon and get breakfast" while I wait on him. Immediately I'm like "man I don't want no damn biscuit under a light!" He responds and says "naw man it's a real kitchen in there!" So I pull up, and order 3 pancakes with bacon and scrambled eggs with cheese. Food was delicious, cooked to order and doesn't take long at all. I wasn't able to eat all of the pancakes . One probably would have been just fine. This place is located inside the Exxon gas station on Rosevelt Hwy. If you are in the area definitely stop by and grab a bite. Food is delicious and service is fast and friendly!!

My husband and I go here often after the first time I was hooked...I didnt think it would be this good coming out a service station...the chicken sausage is very tasty.
