Went in for lunch hour , ordered 2 tacos , since they didn't have fajita , had to get 1 chicken and 1 shrimp taco. The Shrimp taco was empty, it looked like they just cut one SMALL shrimp into 3 pieces that's all it had . The waitress took it back but told me if I wanted to change the shrimp to another meat because the cook said that's the amount (3little pieces) that should be on the tacos. Should of taken a picture of it , thought about it too late. Where's customer satisfaction, not here. . Waitress apologized which I understand she's not in kitchen cooking.

I live close by and often go to Saritas bakery to order some pupusas. I have tried other places on Hwy 6 and keep coming back to Saritas because they are not greasy like other places. I order Cheese, sometimes Mixed (Pork/Cheese). I love them and my Mexican wife likes them too. On Weekends I often go to and order some delicious tamales wrapped on traditional banana leaves. On occasions I have been there for breakfast and have ordered their platos tipicos (black beans, eggs and cream with a hand made tortilla or french roll bread. Humm getting hungry just thinking about it.They also take orders over the phone and to me its one of the those places that you later will be glad you stumble upon.

Perhaps it is related to the Heights Saritas Bakery but this location is at 5211 Barker Cypress Rd Ste 111 Houston (281) 656-2229. Interesting place - I was having my phone repaired a couple doors over when I noticed Saritas and stopped for a water. Once inside, I discovered it was a Spanish only speaking place. The 14 year cashier was brilliant. She spoke English but made me try my Spanish and described everything sans Ingles. She gave me a sampler platter since this was not Mexican food but actually Salvadoran. Wow - rice and black beans, excellent, chicken tamale - too much corn but then it was on to other items, all OK but then the Elotes (a mixture of corn meal and sweet kernel corn) cooked in a banana leaf and shaped like a tamale. Excellent. I am glad that my Blackberry died again the next day and that I had make an 18 mile drive out for repairs. Again I saw the 14 year old who turns out to be a Sunday School teacher and a great hostess to introduce you to Saritas. I left with more samples and two Elotes. I know have a new phone but someday I will find my way back to Sarita Bakery again.
