Sapporo has all day Happy Hour menu on Saturday and Sunday! The Happy Hour menu has a good selection of food and drinks, and it is worth it. However their regular menu is extensive, and I am spoilt for choices. The food choices in the menu, regardless of rolls or nigiris, they are the typical ones that you can get in any casual Japanese restaurants. Decent but nothing stands out. The nigiris I ordered had big slices of fish on top of the rice. The rolls were beautifully placed on the plates, and the overall flavors were good. The quality of food was good too. I love my lychee martini as it was strong, just the way I like it. My dine-in experience was great. The staff were very friendly and were all smiles all the time. The restaurant is rather small but there is space for a party of 8. Paid street parking is available outside the restaurant. There are several paid parking garages nearby too.

The food is still really good, and so is the service, but I'm afraid this isn't someplace I'll be able to come regularly anymore. This absolutely breaks my heart, as this has been one of my favorite restaurants for years, but I've simply been priced out. Every time I come here, the prices have gone up again, and what used to be an affordable, versatile happy hour joint for eating and drinking multiple times a week is now a "break the bank coming here once a week, and that's assuming you order tiny amounts of the cheapest items instead of what you really want."This place is still good if you can afford it, and I highly recommend it if you can. But for me... it's one more gem of downtown Houston that's now out of my reach.

Had dinner at Sapporo. The food is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. Service was quick and friendly. Location itself is small. There is limited street parking. We took an Uber to the location, which was convenient.

My friend and I came here for dinner on New Years Day and had a pleasant experience. We didn't have to wait at all and received at a timely manner. I got the bonzai roll (left) and my friend got the crazy roll and a spicy tuna hand roll (pictured on the right). The rolls tasted great and I would definitely come back in the future. There are also a lot of options on the menu outside of just sushi and rolls! The waitress was also attentive and nice. Another bonus for me was that Apple Pay is also accepted!

It was nothing special, overpriced but for their location you'd expect that. The quality was average, service was slow. Checked it off, not in a rush to go back.

It was delicious, standard sushi. I got the Sushi Combo B, and it came with a miso ginger salad, and a miso soup. Very filling overall. I like nigiri, so I got several pieces of that, and I also got a tuna roll. At first, I was unsure whether the meal would fill me up, but I ended up barely being able to finish it. Everything was fresh, and the miso ginger dressing was to die for!!! I love it every time. Miso soup was hot and flavorful as well. Only thing was, the price was a bit steep. I paid over $30+ for this. I wish it was a bit cheaper. However, I have to say everything was delicious, and well put together. Overall, I give it a 9/10. I'd recommend.

The sushi was just okay and the restaurant was so dirty that I don't feel comfortable recommending this spot to others. Especially when Houston has ample sushi spots to choose from.

We had a group of 8 celebrating a birthday and Kalyn took great care of us. I was there early and had a cupcake to be presented at the end of dinner. They did a wonderful job, decorated the plate and lighting the candle I'd brought. Extra special service. Quality food, beautiful presentation and not crowded. Definitely a must visit! Nice wine selection and happy hour price. We enjoyed everything from spring rolls, dumplings, special rolls, sashimi (very fresh and meaty hamachi) and bento boxes and there was nothing left over. The tempura batter was light and not greasy. The rolls were ample! We shared some tastings and Henry's signature special scallop appetizer, fried spring rolls, Gyoza pork dumplings and the Hot Mama and Caterpillar rolls were my fave. My nephew raved about the Shumai. Again, great experience from the time you walk in to the time you leave! Note: settle up for happy hour pricing during happy hour before it's over.

We came here after looking up Sushi places nearby on Yelp. I ordered the Texans roll , spicy yellowtail and yellowtail scallion . They were all ok - I personally felt like the fish could've been fresher. Because of the location they have higher prices that just weren't justified for me . I felt like the prices were high in comparison to local places I visit that have a better selection and fresher fish.Service was ok , not great but not bad either . Not a place I would revisit .
