Went to Santeros today, expecting them to be open despite the forecasted storm, which ended up being mild--mostly rain with negligible snow. Unfortunately, they were closed without any notice on the door, leaving me to wonder about the reliability of their posted hours. I understand erring on the side of caution due to weather, but a simple note or update would have been helpful for customers making the trip. Disappointed, as I was looking forward to their sandwiches. I hope they'll improve communication in the future. One star for now, with hopes of a better experience next time.

How dare this place even call itself an Italian trattoria! It seems like it's a front. No one with taste buds enjoyed their meal from Santoro's. If you want a sandwich with flavor that rocks and is entirely freshly made to order go to Vincenzo's.I wish this place was decent considering it is within walking distance but I've tried it a few times and it is _consistently bad and expensive_

We tried Santoros after seeing the reviews. This is a little neighborhood sub shop. It's small no place to eat a few tables outside with parking in the rear. The Italian sub was ok nothing special. The meatball sub was microwaved with 3 sliced meatballs. It's never good when you microwave the meatballs. Needless to say it may be good for the neighborhood but the subs are average and nothing to go out of the way for. Same for the cannoli. I sold the nice store clerk this is our first time here and she said every sub is good and we won't be disappointed. We'll after eating the subs we wished we went to Jersey mikes.

Guise, we found it: The best Italian sandwiches in the state of MA. I was not expecting Santoros to change my life the way it did, but it did. I was just looking for a sandwich spot for lunch with ma', and their food roused my tastebuds from the stupor they've been in with other basic, bland sandwich shops. The bread is fresh baked and the ingredients taste like a loving grandma made them same-day. (If they do in fact employ a ghost grandma, I'm totally fine with that because their food is really out of this world.) The Tina and the Vinny Sr are our go-to's. This was the best lunch we've had in a long time. We couldn't stop saying as much between wide-eyed bites. This is our sandwich spot now, and I hope it stays open for many more years to come. My go to place for sandwiches, even though it's a 12 minute drive across town. Their subs are fantastic! Their biscotti, when they have it, is light, crispy and very flavorful. Service is very attentive and friendly. There's no ambiance, but no one really eats there ( though they have a table and chairs outside).
