Sang Kee Peking Duck

The food is super cheap and the workers are nice. There's a lot of options and I was surprised they had fresh roast duck and pork. The noodles were soft and they fry it fresh. I recommend getting food at the beginning of the day since the food is more fresh while they microwave the duck again at the end of the day.

OMGGGGG - can I buy extra stars to give this review? Cause I would if I could! Peking Duck is one of my favorite all time dishes in life. I have missed having this well prepared since my favorite childhood place here in Houston closed many years ago. I saw this spot in my searches while on a business trip and decided to give it a try - I went back THREE times before I left! The peking duck rolls had me in a chokehold! SO GOOD!!!! This will literally stay on my go to list if I am ever back in Philly.ISSAGO!!!!

I wasn't sure if I should make my first taste of Sang Kee the Reading Terminal outpost. But, after doing that, I'm kind of glad I did. Just judging it on its own, it's perfectly flavored duck. It's also pretty good when it comes to fried rice which had excellent texture and flavor. If the original is better than this, then I have to try them.

Ordering a substantial portion of Peking Duck from Sang Kee Peking Duck was the highlight of my last trip to Reading Terminal Market, and perhaps the entire trip to Philadelphia. I love observing skillful usage of a cleaver.

My boyfriend may have gone to Reading Terminal for the cheesesteaks, but I went for the duck. And it was incredible.The Roast Duck Noodle soup had a great, rich broth with noodles cooked perfectly. The duck is fall of the bone tender. Probably one of the best soups of my life. Don't you know, my boyfriend sucked down all the leftovers in the middle of the night! Guess we're going to have to go back and get some more.We also had the most incredible fried rice with sliced duck on top... duck like you want duck. Crispy skin, glorious fatty bits, succulent meat. Yes, sign me up for more of that.Located right near Carmen's cheesesteaks - the booth where they are using Steak'Ums. Skip those cheesesteaks and get yourself some duck!! Bring me some, too!

This location that am rating is located inside Philly's Reading Terminal Market. The Peking duck is absolutely to die for - even better than the famous Peking duck served at Peking Duck restaurant in Falls Church VA where you see thousands of pictures of famous people plastered to the walls. The duck here is fresh, extra crispy, meaty and not fatty, super deliciously seasoned. It is the star of several of their dishes: Peking duck and shrimp wonton noodle soup, Peking duck with vegetables and rice which we ordered. This place is unpretentious, very affordable, comes out hot and delicious!

Reading terminal market can be confusing, but you can never go wrong with sang kee. I absolutely love their Peking duck. I usually get the peking duck with lo mein along with an egg roll and an order of shrimp dumplings. Their shrimp dumplings are perfectly moist and tasty, and their eggrolls are nicely fried and always serve fresh. They also have great soups for cold days. The staff are quick and kind, and I always leave satisfied.

Been coming here for years! I have had the peking duck and roasted pork a few times, but my go to is the steamed dumplings with the extra vinegar sauce. Everything is always amazing

The Sang Kee Peking Duck in the Reading Market has reopened post-COVID. Their duck, bok choy rice combo is a nice lunch special. I had a wonderful shrimp egg roll also. They no longer have soy chicken, but have char siu or roast pork and a number of other dishes that the cooks and servers get out to you hot and fast. The Reading Market is a nice little place to brouse and see a multitude of different places. They could use a few more seats especially tall seats.

The duck was incredible! Highly recommended. The pork was solid, but I would just get the duck next time.
