Okay food. Okay service. After numerous times of trying this place out, I don't think I'll ever return. There aren't many restaurants in Philadelphia that offers Jjajangmyun so this is just one of those place you go for your cravings. When we got there, there were a lot of people waiting in the lobby area with no hostess around for us to check in. After waiting for few minutes, I checked in with the hostess/server and waited for our table. As we were waiting to be sat, I realized how unorganized this place was. There are people constantly repeating their place in the line because the workers did not give us assurance that she knew who was the next person to be sat and kept saying the number of people in the party incorrectly. When we finally get sat, I immediately noticed the red splash marks on the table cloth...it was so dirty I couldn't believe it. I mean what's the point of you having table cloth if you're not gonna change it ? The chair felt greasy as I was putting it out. Then when we finally got our high chair....oh my...that thing seemed like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. We wiped it down with a wipe and the wipes turned yellow and black!!!! How unsanitary! The food came out pretty quick so that was a plus. The taste was okay, nothing special. But when we asked for larger plate for jjajangbop they said the dishwasher went home so they didn't have a plate to give us. I guess that explains piles and piles of dishes in the bins. Will not return!

This place is so understaffed right now.. so the service is terrible. The place was packed on a Sunday afternoon and there were only two workers for everyone. It took forever to place our orders, they wouldn't dare to look at us if we needed something (spoons, napkins, etc), and when we were ready to leave, we had to ask for a to-go container three times, twice with the same guy and once with the girl, to finally get our container. Even after we asked each time, we did not get our service right away and kept having to wait. They kept serving to other tables and avoiding our eye contact when we really wanted to just get our containers to take over the left over food and leave. On the other hand, this dish is the most expensive dish in the menu and the portion is huge (put my hand in for reference). It is very delicious. The pork tangsooyook is too seasoned and tasted like fried chicken. It was too flavorful and seasoned both when eaten with and without the sauce on the side. Ambiance wise, it is just okay. Good for a medium sized group to eat altogether but I'd avoid it during prime time for now unless you have a lot of time to kill with great patience.

Party of three dined in on peak hour of sunday.. place was packed and waitlisted. Black bean noodle (jjajangmyeon) tasted so blended, server kindly reordered to ganjjajang...but then the tastes were same... this time, i just ate it since not only I hated to complain, I didn't think there will be any difference. Also samseon jjajang (which is seafood & red meats combo black bean noodle) had rarely meat and seafood in it, but just bunch of pieces of raw onions.Im not sure if their cook was changed or its because they were crazy busy? I gave 3 stars at least because 1. Couple weeks ago, the same exact food was good 2. Service is always excellent I wish the taste of food is consistent...They need competition in the same food to improve their quality i guess Too bad there is none so far

The food here isnt the same as it once was but its still delicious. The jjampong has a fresh seafood broth and the meat dishes were so tender. The best korean style chinese food in PA.

*WOULD RECOMMEND*For a Chinese-Korean restaurant in the suburbs, this place was beyond my expectations. The place is pretty big and located in a convenient area by the Assi plaza. They have a pretty extensive menu with a page just for noodles. The food was good and well portioned. Service was good too, the waiter constantly refilled the pickled radish side dish for us.*DINNER*Jamchamyon - combo of chajangmyon and jamppong in a divided bowl. The chajangmyon was soooo good. Love the deep blackbean flavor. They even give extra sauce and onions on the side if you wanted to add more. The jamppong was good too, plenty of seafood in it. Recommend this dish if you want to try more than one item. Squid Tansuyook - deep fried squid with sweet and sour sauce on the side. The squid pieces were big, and fried hard. It was a bit tough to chew but we also just dipped it in the sauce instead of pouring the sauce over it which may help soften the crispy exterior. May consider getting other version of this like the pork.*VERDICT*I would come back again and try their other noodle dishes.

We had the jajangmyeon, tangsuyuk and spicy bulgogi dubap. All the dishes were delicious and generous in size.the black bean sauce for the jajangmyeon was flavorful and filled with veggies and meat. The tangsuyuk were large pieces of pork fried to a great crunch. The bulgogi was flavorful and very similar in style to bokkeum. It was spicy and yummy.Overall our meal was very tasty. For some reason it took significantly longer for us to get our food compared to several that came after us.

3.5 stars Overall, some star dishes but the main attraction (noodle dishes) aren't as good/memorable. Highlights:- fried dumplings (mandoo) - definitely homemade, love the filling and seasoning- kang poong ghee (spicy breaded chicken) - love the sweet and spicy gochujang sauce Less enthused:- ja jjang myun - sauce is a bit flavorless, get their gahn jja jang instead (it's a more flavors and seasoned version of the sauce

We got to the restaurant at 5pm and it was crowded w/ diner! We've been craving Jajangmyun for awhile now and we got lucky with the restaurant. The taste is not your typical but actually better. The food here is prepared really well and beautifully presented. Not sure what other reviewers are griping about. It's not overly sweetened nor salty and spice level is very good for most Korean, I think. I hope they do not change the recipe but keep it the way it is. We would love to come back but alas very far from where we live..
