San Miguel de Allende Bar and Grill

Just moved to Lake Conroe and already tried several Mexican places. This one is already my favorite! Delicious food, great quality meat, and strong skinny margaritas! We got great service just before they were going to close. This will be a place I go to regularly!

Very authentic, great tasting food, refried beans and rice - EXCELLENT! Never tasted better. The owner is a very nice man who runs a family business and his children are very knowledgeable and helps run a wonder hidden jewel. If you're ever up in Montgomery, it's certainly worth your time. Service was great and it's a relatively small place with room for you in this family atm

Wow great decor and authentic Mexican food taste! I had the lunch enchilada's and they were great! Refried beans were the best I've had since my last trip to Cozumel. I am a Mexican food aficionado and this is the real deal! Fast, friendly service - highly recommend!

TLDR; this place is heavily underrated. Eat here!I'm not gonna lie, I can be a restaurant snob. I check Google and Yelp reviews before I go somewhere and don't usually go anywhere with less than a 4 star average. But- and hear me out, I know it's a strange reason- the refried beans in all the photos of this place looked so delicious. Most places' refried beans look like the aftermath of a Taco Bell binge fest. So anyways, I came by seriously just because I wanted some of these refried beans. It was just before 2pm so it was pretty much empty. There's no sign on the building, but it is the right place. It's the only building with bold yellow and red walls. Don't let the outside of the building scare you away either. I usually order chile con queso because most places don't have very good salsa, but this stuff was really good! Clearly homemade and their own unique recipe. Served warm. I loved it, but if you are one of those people who are avid onion haters for absolutely no reason, you may not care for it.They don't have a drink menu, so you just tell them what you want. I'm a visual person so I really need to see a menu in order to know, otherwise I'm that annoying person verbalizing an entire recipe of a drink because I'm that picky. So I just stuck with a water (I mean it was 2:00, I didn't really need a margarita anyways, let's be honest). I ordered the tacos al carbon with steak and it was really good. And they actually cut the steak right so when you bite it, you don't end up with all the meat falling out and slapping you in the face. That sounded more dirty than I intended but I'm not changing it now because it still applies. Get your mind out of the gutter y'all. ANYWAYS those beans. Man the beans had the perfect texture and flavor. I always mix them into the rice because I've always done it and so now it's a thing. A couple other notes: if you're one of those (like me) who doesn't like your food touching, you'll appreciate that they wrap the tacos in foil and the sour cream I ordered was put in a little ramekin! Made me super happy. Also, the plate I ordered was only $12! I added the sour cream and pico so that's what the other charge is for but I've never gotten out of a restaurant for this cheap. Mind. Blown. So all that to say- this is my new go-to tex-mex place and you should eat here! Unless you're a jerk who is mean to wait staff and doesn't tip. Then you shouldn't go eat anywhere. But I digress; I'll probably be here a lot cause when I'm depressed, good Mexican food cheers me up and well, it's 2022 so we're all depressed, right?

Wow !!! What a place !!! The food here is so delicious!!! Explosion of flavor every bite!!!! Queso blanco with taco beef is great !! Fajita enchiladas with rice and beans is so good !!! And the shrimp chile relleno is amazing. WOW this is my new favorite Mexican restaurant!!! I highly recommend, highly recommend this hidden jewel diamond .

Hole in the wall dive catering to the folks right across the road at Bentwater on 1097... Visted due to reviews.. I think I it was well worth the visit.. deck view over looks Lake Conroe, beer is cold, service is great and food was spot on good! Way too much to finish.. if I had an issue, the ground beef was just a tad too salty.. over all, worth a visit if lost on 1097 and needing food with a view. Just my opinion..

Enchilada in Mole was absolutely delicious! Service was A+. We would definitely come back the next time we are in the area.
