Tostadas Prime

We returned from dinner at Tostadas Prime and were surprised to receive an email from OpenTable stating that the restaurant marked us as a no-show, which was clearly incorrect. This has never happened to me before, as I've never missed or been late for a reservation. I hope they resolve this issue.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the service provided by Jay, who was professional, courteous, and displayed stellar communication skills. The food was generally above average, with our favorite dish being the skirt steak. I ordered the Enchiladas by the Sea, which I found a bit bland and could have used more seasoning, though the addition of carrots on the side was a nice touch. We also had guacamole, which we thought needed more salt, and the bread pudding, which was generously sized--so much so that we took most of it home.We appreciated the service, the ambiance, and the parking, which wasn't too difficult since the restaurant is located in a large plaza. There was a big birthday party happening during our visit, but overall, the restaurant was half-empty--likely because it was just after New Year's and many people might have been resting.

This review is solely based on their Event Planning. Plain and simple, there is none. After numerous emails going back and forth, never getting my questions answered, receiving emails without attachments, having to follow up, and follow up and follow up, because there was no responses, I mean, really?? And then suddenly, over a month later and I finally get a menu one day before my event that I had to create. Left 21 guests hanging, so I found another restaurant and within hours had a reservation, seating arrangements and a menu. Now that's what I call event planning. I was also told about an "experience" that I no longer qualified for because my headcount went down. Well that was due to your delay in responding and other plans were made. I was never told what that was, either. Maybe I would have invited more people!Why did I not move on sooner? Because there were 21 of us super excited to go!I have been to other Tostadas and have had great experiences there and will continue to go. Hopefully Prime will bring on a real event planner. Heck hire me. I can do it with my eyes closed.

I've been here about 3 years ago celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and was amazed at how nice this restaurant was. From decor, music, letter signs and sparklers? Chef's kiss!!!! Literally felt like I was in a club getting bottle service. It was no surprise to come back again to celebrate his birthday here. Came with a party of 10 for a reservation at 7:30 pm. Surprised that it was somewhat empty as the last time we came, it was also on a weekday and packed. We just assumed it was because we had an earlier dinner reservation and as the night went on, other parties were coming in. As for the food, we were given complimentary tortilla chips/ dip and also ordered a calamari appetizer which I DEVOURED. Can't go wrong with these. I also ordered the mini street tacos which come in 5 pieces compared to the birria tacos that only come with 3. It was good, but not to die for yk? It tasted a little plain and soggy, but their house sauce made it better. I get it's an upscale/ pricy restaurant with nice ambiance. But If you want BOMB tacos, you're better off going to a taco truck in downtown on a weekend at 11 pm. What I did not like was that they offer to take your pictures (if you're in a big group and LOTS of pictures) only for you to pay for both the picture and frame that they offered to take for you. I feel as if a simple question would've avoided this and wouldn't have went through all that hassle. On the bright side, I love their drinks. La toxica is good, but their lychee martini never fails me!!! Other establishments are stingy with their alcohol and barely taste it, while tostadas has a good balance between their liquor and mixes. Service was amazing. Servers and the manager always checked up on our table, asked if there was anything we needed, etc. Overall you're pretty much paying for the ambiance and the performances they do for celebrations. I'd honestly come back again to try other foods they offer. Another restaurant that I'd come for special occasions only.

I ordered salmon grill the taste is horrible. Salmon dish is salty.And vegetables roasted in tons of oil. Since i have weak stomach cannot hold too much oil food. I request to change. They replaced with steamed veggies. I felt no difference btw steamed & roasted veggies both look wise & taste wise same. This place is expensive but doesn't reflect on food taste and quality. Food tastes really poor. We are disappointed with this place.

On a Friday night, my friends and I decided to go out dinner keeping it a chill night! We were really indecisive on what to eat and one of my friends recommended this place. Didn't know what to exactly when arriving. We made online reservations just in case it was a long wait, I mean it is a Friday night. Walking in was such a sight to see, music was bumping, party lights, with beautiful art on the walls. It really tied all together it gave club vibe but was actually a restaurant! Definitely not your average restaurant I personally loved it! Perfect for a birthday celebration, would come out with a flaring candle with a birthday shots for your table. It could come on a skull, bull, or deer antlers soooo lit!!! They come out with a party sign just like in the club! Definitely will be back for a birthday celebration! It was a little packed when we arrived, but luckily we had made reservations on the website. We waited for about 10 minutes for a table to be ready. We were seated our waiter. I forgot his name. I'm horrible with names. But he was so helpful he broke down the menu for us. He had recommendations, he described the best meals most of them were on which I thought were amazing. I loved everything about this place! I will definitely come back with my bby when go out for a date night!

The food is expensive, but I think part of it is paying for the ambiance. They have a full bar against one wall, exposed kitchen area, and overall kind of a clubby lounge loud kind of restaurant. Inside is a cool looking modern Latin vibe restaurant with decorations on the walls. They have fire dancers on Friday and Saturday nights, which adds an extra element of entertainment to the dinner. For birthdays they bring out a sign and make noise to your table to make you feel special. Overall it was a good experience at least once.

Making a reservation was super easy and highly recommended! I didn't realize how popular this place would be on a Friday night. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the employees were pleasant. The suede booths and table chairs with the dim lighting and neon signage gave a very modern and sexy ambiance. The food was actually really decent! Albeit in my opinion overpriced for what it is. I was shocked to see how diverse and vast the menu options were that had things like steak, pasta, tacos, and sushi! Our favorites were the birria tacos and the burrata and steak bites. Bursting with flavor and a good amount of food to share. Two things I took a star away for: the music became really loud at one point which isn't necessarily a bad thing because it adds to the fun environment but something to keep in mind if you actually enjoy talking during your meal. The larger thing I thought was odd was when I ordered a casamigos and soda they ended up charging me $2 for soda water with each drink. I thought that was strange... usually you get soda added in at no cost when you order premium liquor. So I probably won't be doing that again here.Vibes were definitely on point and our server was really good about checking in on us frequently. Honestly, this place is really fun and worth a visit.

I want to start this review by acknowledging how accommodating the staff is at this tostadas location, they place was full and they managed to get a table in less than 5 mins which was very much appreciated. The food was also spectacular, I ordered tomahawk steak with mashed potatoes and broccolini. I have to say that the price is reasonable for what your getting... the food, the ambiance and the service. I also tried a few of their cocktails which didn't disappoint.Can't wait to be back!

We've only went to the tostadas on Santa Clara street and we've had tostadas prime on our list for quite some time. We had amazing service - almost too attentive lol we were asked multiple times if we were getting what we needed. It was awesome. We ordered oysters on the half shell for an appetizer. Everyone automatically gets chips and bean dip on their table - the dip is ok, but would prefer a spicier salsa. The wagyu sushi was amazing- my only complaint was that it was too big to fit in my mouth lol. If you're not into spicy, do note they have fresh jalapeños on them- it was fine for me but not so much for my husband (he took them off). The Cesar salad was good- do note that they don't do any side salads so you will have to order entre size. The steak was amazing! I had a few bites of my husbands and it was heavenly. The ambiance was like a nightclub - and it looks like they do a whole big thing for birthdays - not sure if that costs extra but was very cool. They had a fire dancer - not sure if that is every day or just Saturdays. All- in - all can't wait to go back!

They have an awesome birthday sign they bring out and shots in a De Los Muertos skull as a serving tray. She had a great birthday and we all had a great time.
