i always passed by this restaurant when going to the theaters & finally decided to dine in! i do love that theyre open later than most other places in the area its a nice option to havewe both got the combos & it's nice to build our own combos with all the available options!it's very average sushi, but i didn't expect it to be amazing!it's convenient & pretty affordable

Tomo Sushi & Teriyaki is located by Century theater in Daly City. There is a large parking garage, bus and bart stop located nearby, so you can easily find your way here. This sushi spot is my go to place when I'm craving Japanese food and I want something quick but delicious. I came here when they opened at 11:30am so the host/server was very attentive (refilled my tea 3-4 times and checked up on me periodically , which is a plus), friendly (I don't like soup, but she offered to give me more rice or salad instead), and quick with giving my food (15min wait).In terms of food, the tempera was slightly under cook as the veggies still had a hard bite to it. Salmon and beef teriyaki was flavorful and cooked perfectly (8/10). The Chirashi, on the other hand, was a slight disappointment because of the lack of fish compared to veggies. For a 30 dollar dish, I would expect more fish to be in the dish. However, fish was fresh and flavorful with the sauce (6/10). I still recommend you guys to check it out if you want something quick but good.

Came here on a Friday evening with a group of 11 without a reservation and they were able to accommodate us after a small wait. I ordered the Agedashi Tofu and Orange Crunch Roll. The agedashi tofu came out piping hot. The tofu was silky and the sauce was sweet making it a good dish. The orange crunch roll looked really good but I was slightly confused as to where the crunchy was until I realized it was inside the roll. That meant it wasn't really crunchy anymore. The fish tasted fresh and I really like the crab on the inside. Overall it was a good meal and the wait staff was so wonderful and very accommodating towards us.

Decided to eat here before watching a movie as it's located right next door to Century Daly City. Seated right away, very friendly service. A lot of options to choose from on their menu. We ordered udon, yakisoba, edamame and a sushi roll. Definitely a good choice for quick, casual dining. Very large seating area and family friendly.

We LOVE this place so much! It's our usual go to spot right before the movies! Technically this should should be a 4.5 star rating only because the arrival of the food sometimes is a bit slow. Between our party of 4, half of our table received our orders. My bfs brother and i had to wait for ours. I came here on a Saturday night with my family for dinner. The sign outside no longer works so I had no idea this place was still open. I'm glad I gave it a chance still. Though the tables are a little sticky, the food and the service here were better than I expected. All of the staff here is very friendly and they check on you regularly to refill drinks and make sure the food is ok. All the food came out promptly. The rolls were yummy. The Negihama maki, dynamite and Philadelphia roll were eaten quickly because they were the first good items to come out. They were well-balanced in ratio. The Negihama maki was very meaty. The dynamite roll was fried well with delicious sauce. The Philadelphia roll had the cream cheese at the right amount to not overpower the rest of the ingredients. The Rambuda roll was unexpected because we had not had it before at other sushi restaurants. The avocado made it creamy and the sauce made it spicy in the best ways possible. Totally recommend. The salmon tsutsumi roll was the one we could've done without. The lemon slice on top of the salmon is usually refreshing, but for some reason it was a not that good. Maybe there was too much rice versus the salmon. The wakame udon is one of the best presentation of udon I have seen. It has beautifully sliced vegetables and other toppings. The extra dollar for the seaweed was worth it. The warmth of the broth is perfect for the cold weather right now. The bento dinner combination is generous and there are a lot of options. They also come with salad and miso soup. The teriyaki (salmon and chicken) needed more sauce. The vegetable tempura was not crispy. The salmon sashimi was fresh and a favorite. The California rolls were great and probably some of the best I've eaten as a side, which was surprising. Warning: If you can avoid the bathroom, please do. You may lose your appetite. If you wait for the bathroom, you'll have a view of all the leftover food from previous diners and the dirty dishes. Overall, I would come here again because for a sushi place, this place is affordable. The food is overall good. The staff is extremely friendly and make you feel welcome and taken care of. The location has a free parking garage.
