The Vesper

I checked out The Vesper this past weekend for the first time and I really liked it! They are known for their wonderful cocktails. The menu is organized by spirits and their signature cocktails are $16 each. I tried their version of an espresso martini which was just the right amount of sweet, and served in a rocks glass. My friend had a vodka drink that had notes of apple, lemon, and cinnamon, it was perfect for the cold winter weather.We chose to share some appetizers and loved them all! We had the shrimp cocktail, which came with a generous portion of large fresh shrimp and a yummy cocktail sauce with the perfect amount of horseradish. The deviled eggs were delicious with the added caviar ( an additional $10). Meatballs were very good as well, but a little salty for me. I really enjoyed the ambiance, it's dimly lit, and there are lots of unique art pieces to look at on the walls. Our server was very kind and totally on top of it. I look forward to coming back!

Happy Hour -- fun spot w nice ambience and cool decor, but the food is off and drinks are basic and watered down. (See captions attached to this review).Wanted to like this place since it's the same owners as The Table (Willow Glen, San Jose) and Shepherd & Sims, Los Gatos -- but this place doesn't live up to its hype so probably won't try again as too many dishes just weren't good.

The ambience here is definitely cool and vibrant, though the setting is on the noisy side. If that's the kind of atmosphere you're after, it might be a great fit. They have a nice cocktail menu with a decent variety, but I didn't find anything particularly unique or creative that stood out to me.The food menu felt limited during the evening, and as the place got busier, the service was just okay--nothing exceptional. Overall, it's a decent spot if you're in the mood for a lively environment, but it didn't quite hit the mark for me in terms of creativity or service.

Came by for their happy hour. It did not disappoint, the servers were on top of it. They recommended plenty of drinks and food. The atmosphere was upbeat and welcoming to all groups of people. I appreciate a nice bar like this.

4 stars as a bar. 3 stars as a restaurant. We were looking for good cocktails and average food. I think Vesper delivered. The drinks weren't top tier craft cocktails, but definitely above average, and you get a wide variety. The food was pretty salty but that's par for the course at a bar. Wish they had a little bit more variety for food (looks like they used to have steak tartare!).Friendly service.

We got a seat at the bar and they were attentive. The drinks were delicious. I ordered pretty fruity ones and they were a good mixture of sweet and tart.The vibe of the night was really chill for a Friday outing.

It was my first time there, great place for drinks and appetizers.Great service and ambiance specially if you were thinking of holding a small friends or family party they have kind of private room upstairs definitely we will come back thanks for the vesper staff

LOVE this place and swanky cocktail vibe. Great place to grab a cocktail and appetizers or a full meal. Their bartenders are incredible - well equipped to help you select the right cocktail or create a cocktail based on your preferences. Usually cocktail places suffer when it comes to the food menu, but their food here is delicious and goes well with cocktails. Highly recommend sitting at the bar!

I came here for the first time to meet a girl friend and we both had never tried vesper. I don't typically drink so I inquired a lot with the waitress. My general thoughts were:- happy hour apps were delicious (we actually ordered multiple times)- drinks were delicious and a good amount of alcohol served - service was very nice, attentive, and fast- the ambience was cute, trendy, and definitely a place you can go with a group or maybe an intimate dateI would absolutely come back again. For now, this is my go-to spot for a chill bar hangout

Came in for a nightcap and this place has good vibes. Was able to get a seat with some friends and enjoyed the massive bar selection. Ordered a couple whiskey drinks on the rocks, Weller 12 and Michters. Service was good, the only comment would be too many ice cubes in the drink.
