DoorDash order:Easy pick up and food ready when arrived.8/10 Pad Kee Mao Beef $ - Food was still hot when I got home which was a plus. Noodles were yummy thick, wide, coated and seasoned well. Beef was ground not strips which was misleading, but still really flavorful. Also I asked for extra spicy and they delivered. :) for the price I'd say this was a solid portion and well made. 7/10 Thai tea $ - Generic and average. They did not mess it up but nothing noteworthy.

I enjoyed the pad see ew, the noodles were yummy and had good flavor. The pad thai noodles had an unexpected texture but were also good. Regular spicy was quite spicy but still good. The food was fairly priced but the portions were relatively small. Our server was very friendly and answered all of our questions. There was a long wait for our food the day we went.

I have been going to Thai Basil for over decades. I still remember the days when the prices for lunch special were like $6.95, no yelp existed yet, gone are those prices for sure. I finally gotten around to write a review lol. My favorite dish here is Pad See Hew. Pad Thai is also really good! I was celebrating my brother's birthday, he got the yellow curry as that was one of his favorite. If you are in a time crunch, this place is conveniently fast and great Thai food. One of my go to place for Thai food when I am in Sunnyvale.

We have come here multiple times and never had a bad meal... It is a family atmosphere. They have a full bar and their food is delicious and uniquely prepared for all of your dietary delicacies. You can create vegan vegetarian or omnivore options with your comfortable level of spice. The staff is friendly but allows you to enjoy without hovering. There are plenty of Thai food choices for everyone to enjoy.

it's been a while since I've gone to Thai Basil. When you have a young kid and they go through picky stages you find yourself not going to a local favorite for years. Well, we finally reached a point in time where we could take our 7 year old out to Thai and it was a solid hit. Is this the best Thai restaurant? No. But what it is and why I'm rating a 5/5 is for the following: Even though they don't have a kids menu they were accomodating with their food/spice levels. Their food choices are solid, affordable, and consistent. Even though it's been over 7 years, my favorites are still solid quality and tasty experiences. The service is fantastic; they were thoughtful in the seating and added another table so we'd have room for dinner and they regularly checked in on us and refilled our water.The ambience is on the darker side, but I love the aesthetic with lots of interesting memorabilia to look at. The one request I'd have is for them to remodel/fix the women's bathroom. It's showing it's age. Be aware that the hot water is HOT straight out of the tap.

Thai Basil is a solid Thai restaurant in Downtown Sunnyvale. Amongst a whole street of restaurants, it stands out as a contender for all lunchtime discussions for the fast service, large menu, and good food.Inside is a bit dark and doesn't feel like the most welcoming. I like sitting outdoors if the weather is nice. My go-to is the Pad Thai with shrimp - medium spicy. I really like when places offer their pad thai to be spicy! For me, it's important for it to be as flavorful as it is spicy, and Thai Basil does that well. Pricing is pretty reasonable and I almost always have leftovers. The Thai tea is also great and sometimes I'll just come order that as a pick-me-up in the middle of my workday haha.I will continue to come here, whether it's on my own or with my company!

After a boozy time at Sunnyvale's Wine Stroll, I wanted to finish the day with something special. Thai Basil was just what the doctor ordered (I'm not a doctor).A buddy and I decided to keep it simple and go with what we knew: shrimp rolls, Ka Prow (spicy ground chicken) and Pad Cha (spicy seafood). Everything was wonderful the patient's were well attended to.The best thing I can say about TB is that I will DEFINITELY be back--hopefully very soon.

This place was good and the portions were big but we told them to make it spicy and they made it extremely spicy. It was super inedible and literally had our mouths burning on fire. I would recommend if you can handle the heat but I probably wouldn't return for that reason

Great dinner :)We visited right when they opened on a Friday afternoon. Pretty spacious inside with cool decorations. Only one person was working the front (sat us and took our order). She was nice and attentive.Food was good! Here's what we got:-Green curry 4/5 solid green curry, wish it was a little thicker-Thai basil fried rice with pork 5/5 great, seasoning was on point. esp loved how it had that wok-fried taste (a little dryer/crispier) not a big fan of wet soggy thai basil fried rice so this was great-Pad thai 3/5 it was on the sweeter side but still solid.Overall we had a nice dinner experience, and the price was very reasonable for being on a downtown strip in sunnyvale. Would def come back :)

This review is long due! If there were 7 stars, I'd give that to Thai Basil :) We have been eating at Thai Basil for years and the food and service never fail to amaze us. Being vegetarian Indians, we have limited food choices but the choices and flavors at Thai Basil are great! Uomi now recognizes my number when I call her and greets us with a warm attitude :-) She knows my order and is always open for making requested changes! Authentic food + great customer service! Try their soup, beans, salad, curries, burnt fried rice - infact everything is wonderful! This is hands down the BEST Thai food we've had in the Bay Area.
