One of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time! The dutch crunch was perfectly toasted, crunchy yet chewy, but won't tear up the top of your mouth! Perfect ratio of sandwich materials. I got the California and it was magnificent!

I was super excited to try this place because of all the good reviews but unfortunately it fell short. My friend and I split the mango habanero chicken and the chicken pesto. We both agreed the chicken pesto was better but I found the sandwich to be boring and lacking flavor. The mango habanero sauce has a weird aftertaste and no heat to it. Pros: really friendly service, good Dutch crunch bread, fresh ingredients, reasonable priceCons: stale chips, minimal flavor

I'm not sure if I ordered wrong, or what but it was a strange sandwich to be sure. I ordered a "Californian" which was is go-to type of sandwich with Smoked Turkey, Swiss and Avocado. I had it delivered so I wasn't there to see how it was made or clarify and questions they may have had as they made it. The positive was the dutch crunch bread was fresh and delicious, as was the Smoked Turkey (tasted homemade, and not the typical processed deli meat).The Negatives' were they were light handed on the avocado, and while I asked for my bread to be toasted, overall the sandwich seemed hot...that may have been my mistake to ask for the bread to be toasted but to also be expecting a cold sandwich. Finally the lettuce seemed to have some vinegar dressing? I did ask for garlic sauce, so I'm not sure if their garlic sauce is vinegar based and they dressed their lettuce with it? Between the temperature (warmed sandwich) and the vinegar lettuce it really made the sandwich unpleasant. I could see things changing if I went in person, got it cold, skipped the garlic sauce, and made sure they had sufficient avocado.

There's a sign at the front window of their shop saying "The 2nd best rated deli in San Mateo county" I'd say THE best rated for the service and fresh food. I ordered the Al Pacino with Dutch crunch bread and it was really good. Had a kick to it with the added jalapeños- def recommend for those who like/eat pastrami. Tip: ask the owner for their red jalapeños or green tomatoes :-)

**Review:**On a warm day, I was craving a sundae and looked for something nearby to enjoy. I found Taza Delicate Café and decided to walk in. As soon as I entered, I was greeted by a friendly face at the ice cream display. I chose a Rocky Road and Vanilla sundae with nuts. The transaction was easy, and the food was delicious. I would recommend this nice neighborhood café and deli to anyone!

A great selection of sandwichesFriendly service. Fresh coffee.They will customize your sandwich to your liking with many different kinds of bread and condiments.They have great lentil soup.They have a gelato ice cream bar also.Old fashioned milkshakes are the bomb.As are the affogato (expresso over ice cream )
