It's a lovely place!! Ana was super nice during my first time visit to this place. I feel the food was well prepared and had a good taste to it. Everyone was kind here. Loved the salads and the antipasto they had. Parking was no problem. I feel the place was clean. Will be coming back in the future.

Visited on a Tuesday night for dinner. Not too busy inside the restaurant but parking was difficult to find. Upon entering, it took a little bit before someone came to greet and seat us. The interior is cozy and clean. They brought out a plate of cheese bread, fried plantains, and yuca fries. I was not a fan of their yuca but the other two items were delicious. The salad bar was very limited compared to other Brazilian BBQ spots. It also took awhile for the meats to start coming out and it did bother me that one of the waiters smelled of cigarette smoke. The meats itself were seasoned well and not too salty. I really enjoyed the picanha and ribeye. Unfortunately the shrimp was overcooked so it was really dry. My fiancé normally loves chicken hearts but he said the ones here were gamey in a bad way. They also didn't have any lamb options.Service here was quite slow and we found ourselves sitting around with empty plates waiting for more meat. Our meal for 2 ended up being $160 before tip which is steep when you're comparing what you can get at the salad bar and meat options from other Brazilian BBQ spots.

This place was alright - not horrible, but also not the best, but we did expect more for the price. When we entered, the reception was a little lukewarm - not a very welcoming first impression, especially with the hostess not smiling or making eye contact. We were seated and the complimentary appetizers came very fast, and so did the drinks. Ambiance was not bad. It was clean, and even though we went on thanksgiving day for dinner, there were a decent amount of tables seated. They also had turkey and gravy (I'm assuming for Thanksgiving) which was a nice touch. The salad bar was good and everything seemed fresh. There wasn't a lot of variety though. The meats were coming around a little slow, and we were given the worst pieces. They were either too thin, cut unevenly, or too fatty. We were also given the well done pieces more often than the rare and juicy pieces so it's hard to say for sure, but the food was a little dry, cold, and chewy. They didn't come around to check on us often, but when they did come by, they were super polite. Alexandra was the best one we interacted with - seems super sweet and hardworking. The highlight of the night was the papaya cream dessert with cassis, which was delicious!

The service was slow and not informative. We had to figure out our first time there. The tables were positioned in a crowded format and hard to walk thru. No coat check or hooks for purses. Chairs are rounded backs so if you have a purse you will need to place on your lap or behind you. Inconvenient. Overkill on the beef options . Very pricey for what was offered. $94 a person . Left unsatisfied and disappointed.

Immediately when you walk in, you can just feel, you've entered a new level of service and dining. The food was delicious, every meat that we tried was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The sides and salad bar was fresh and equally delicious. The service was impeccable, every request was quickly given. Do yourself a favor and finish the night with dessert and an espresso, the coffee is amazing. This was an amazing Valentines Day, well worth the trip to downtown San Jose.

Tucked away in downtown, Taurinus Brazilian Steakhouse was a great place to try.Parking might be limited to street parking, but the journey is well worth it. Taurinus Brazilian Steakhouse delivers big on flavor. Drawing similarities to Galpão Steakhouse, the concept of Taurinus revolves around the gaucho-style meat service, where servers circulate the dining area offering a variety of succulent meats. What sets Taurinus apart is the personalized touch; it is smaller so it was a bit easier to request specific meats we wanted.During my visit, I particularly enjoyed the pork wrapped in bacon. It was tender, flavorful, and simply irresistible. Each bite was a symphony of flavors that left a lasting impression. In addition to the main course, dessert was equally impressive. The portion size was generous, easily satisfying the sweet cravings of five people. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was due to the lighting. I know it's supposed to be that way for the ambiance but it was a bit hard for me to see. It took me a while for my eyes to adjust, but afterward, it was fine.If you are ever in the area and want something filling, it is a nice place to try!

The options are very good. The servers come often even though it seemed like a very slow Friday. Salad bar wasn't very full just because I want to say when we arrived there may have been about 20 other people; including one large party. Ambiance is really nice and relaxing.

I've been to Taurinus more than a handful of times now and I can't believe I didn't leave a review sooner. I'm not the type to suggest eating at Brazilian steakhouses on a whim nor the type to spring for an all-you-can-eat experience since all I can eat is a kid's portion, but aside from getting my money's worth the service, salad bar, protein lineup, and ambiance of this particular Brazilian steakhouse has generally been satisfactory. My favorite cut is the picanha, and my personal ayce Brazilian steakhouse advice is to load up on your favorite cut(s) and always skip anything that isn't red meat (chicken, sausage, those kinds of things). I usually don't eat anything at the salad bar either to save space. I'm pretty sure on one occasion I stopped by I only got slices of picanha and grilled pineapple. Pricing is not the most clear, I remember having to dig around the Yelp archive of menu pictures to get an idea of what to expect to pay. I suppose you could ask the host how much lunch or dinner would cost upon walking in, but if you've got social anxiety like me you might have to do a bit of digging to get an accurate idea of the current prices. If stop by during the week the salad bar offerings are a bit more limited, but honestly it's whatever since we definitely all came or are coming for the meat. This spot doesn't exactly get busy, I don't think I've ever seen the dining room more than half full. The meat usually comes out directly to my table and I get the most thoroughly cooked slices of outside meat. As someone who likes their meat rare, this is not ideal. I like to say I like it bloody, so when we made the request during a recent visit they actually brought out picanha that was so rare it was practically blue. I'm not sure if that was in alignment with food safety but that was definitely too rare even for me. I asked for it though, and they delivered, so I can only commend them for understanding the assignment.

I've been to Taurinus twice in the past two years for company-paid holiday dinners during December. This was my first and only Brazilian steakhouse that I've been to so it was an interesting experience. They have a salad/appetizer bar in the corner, but we all know that that's a distraction from the main course so don't get too much from here. MEAT. Each table has a standup green/red card label indicating whether you want servers to keep coming around with the meat selections or not. We left it on green haha. They have a good amount of meat selections, but the standout is hands down the picanha. Different cuts of the same meat typically blur together for me, but the picanha is just so extra tender, moist, juicy, and flavorful. You can't miss this one. I also have to mention the grilled pineapple which is just so good to eat while it's warm and juicy. This is coming from someone who is not the biggest fan of pineapple. It's also a nice break from all the richness and heaviness of the meat.DRINKS. I've tried the caipirinha and the batida de fruta. I was excited to try the caiprinha since it's THE quintessential Brazilian drink, but it just wasn't for me. It had a strong bitter aftertaste that was hard to go down. The batida de fruta also was not the drink for me as it was too creamy and gloopy.DESSERTS. I've tried the pudim and the crème brûlée. The pudim wasn't that great. The flan was on the denser side and didn't have much egg-y flavor. It seemed to be heavier on the condensed milk. Crème brûlée...you can't go wrong with it. It's a classic goodie with a creamy foundation and a crunchy, caramelized top. My bf got the mousse de maracujá, and I was able to cop a few bites. The passion fruit was really nice and refreshing. It's better than the pudim, but the creme brulee still has my heart. Now I had to do a little digging for the price of the main course as I did not pay for it myself. It seems to be somewhere between $60-70 a person excluding tax and tip as of 2023. If you're looking for a fancier dinner for a special occasion, I think this is somewhat a good price. Disclaimer: I don't typically eat at higher-priced restaurants all that much so take that with a grain of salt, but I've paid about the same price for overpriced mediocre Italian food so I would definitely pick this place over that. It's all you can eat so make sure you have the stomach for it to really make it worth.

Went in for a birthday dinner for 2, it was a Tuesday night so it wasn't busy. First time here and the service was amazing and the meats kept coming out quickly. Our plates were never empty and we enjoyed our evening here. Will be definitely returning
