Super Churro Man

As a long time baseball fan, I've travelled to over 20 different major and minor league stadiums across the country.  While there are great food items in each park, my favorite dessert are the churros in San Jose!  Why?  Because they are freshly made soon after you purchase them, if not right on the spot.  In addition, they are a steal at only $4 each!  On busy days, the line can get pretty long, so I usually get them early in the game and buy several of them to savor throughout the game.These churros are so popular, the San Jose Giants become the San Jose Churros several times a year, with the team wearing special jerseys those games.  Be warned: these are the busiest times at the churro stand.Also, they only take cash, so be prepared. The rest of the stadium is cashless.(Hot tip:  if you go to a major sporting event, many of the snacks are premade and just kept heated in the stand.  Definitely not fresh.)

Best in the business. Better than any theme park or any other place on earth for that matter. A summer baseball game at Muni Stadium with a warm churro in hand is peak South Bay summer.

Paul is the sweetest and funniest sellers at the Muni. And his churros are HANDS DOWN THE BEST EVER!!!!!!!!!!Pro tip, you don't even have to leave your seat to get a churro because he goes around in the stands. For $3 you get such a HUGE churro and they are WAY better than the ones at Disneyland.As a churro lover, these churros are definitely number 1 in my book!! Oh! And if isn't too busy, chat it up with Paul. He has such great wisdom and can put a smile on your face with his jokes. :)

Hipolito with Olimpos Churros is the best churro vendor ever! I've hired him for many parties over the past 5 years (ranging from 500 to 1600 guests) and he is a big hit. I have NEVER had a churro that was so hot, crispy outside gooey soft inside in my life.... There are two opportunities to get them at the stadium... I prefer the guy with the magical plastic single drawer that I can smell from 1 group of stands over. This is one of my comfort foods where if I eat one... the whole stress of the day magically disappears

Paul is the reason we come to the Giants games. The best churro you will ever have served by a legend. Love how the Giants have embraced him as part of the game and made Churro night.

Quite possibly the best part of going to a SJ Giants game. The churros that Super Churro Man sells out of his charming plastic tupperware container are so yummy! The sight of Super Churro Man in the stands is exciting. And then he comes closer and closer to your section and you have your $5 ready so you can buy 2 churros. But then, just as quickly as he appeared...he disappears back into the tunnel. He has run out of churros and has to restock at the churro cart in the tunnel. So you can actually buy the same churros he sells from that cart, if you get tired of waiting. And don't wait until the 9th inning to get some because Super Churro Man will be gone and the cart will have closed. Get two of them as soon as you get into the stadium. Eat those two while you are in the long line for bbq at Turkey Mike's. Then after you eat your meal from Turkey Mike's, buy two more to eat while sitting and watching the game. That will be my strategy from now on.

We miss the churro man. We moved away from the Bay Area, but sometimes his churros were the only thing we wanted for dinner at the San Jose Giants ballpark. Other churros you may get at other ballparks do not measure up. He is a very nice man and climbs through the benches like a champ. It's always "Churro Time" at the San Jose Giants games!

He makes the best churros hands down, the perfect balance of crunchy and sweetness. I don't know where he sells??? If anyone knows , please help! He has been perfecting them since the 80's. Started selling outside Sacred Heart Church.
