Starbird Chicken

So far I've only tried their chicken chop salad and Thai chicken salad and both have been delicious. The chicken chop salad is perfect for those who are looking for a more refreshing and lighter flavor. As for the Thai chicken salad, the dressing is definitely a lot more flavorful so maybe start with only adding half of each container first before proceeding to add more. The Thai chicken salad has a fish sauce like flavor and definitely tastes more like a Thai dish and even has a little kick to it. Both salads were very generous in serving size and the chicken was moist and delicious. The restaurant is fairly spacious and has a good amount of seating. They have a parking lot behind their store within the building and both times that I've been there, finding a spot was not hard at all.

Excited to finally have a local Starbird (not counting the one at SFO), and this location is fairly new. Interior is clean and modern, with a fair number of seating and utensil dispensing areas. You can order at the kiosk for faster ordering or use the app (recommended) so you can just pick up and go; you can even get discounts on future orders in the app.Ordered the classic sandwich and truffle garlic fries and neither disappointed. The chicken is tender and succulent, though it can get quite spicy so choose your spice level accordingly. Fries are good but tend to not be palatable when left out as most fries do. Prices aren't the best but still within reason relative to the economy. I'd definitely come back since it's basically higher-end fast food.

We dropped by here to try out lunch since we were in the neighborhood of Brew Tea. Order at the kiosk and sit and wait. Restaurant is clean. Food came out hot and fast. Portions are huge. Which explains why the food costs more than other chicken places. I had a parm chicken. It was really good. Fries are crispy. I ordered in their app another time and food was ready by the time I got to the restaurant. This time I ordered chicken tenders. Big pieces of crispy chicken. A tad salty. Frankly since they are expensive. I would only go occasionally

Starbird Chicken in South San Francisco is a great spot for a tasty chicken sandwich. The location is calm and tame, with seating options both inside and outside. However, I found the indoor seating much more comfortable since the outdoor area is right at the corner of a busy intersection. Another downside is that parking isn't the most convenient as well.The food here really stands out compared to other chicken-branded sandwich spots. The chicken is extra crispy, between buns packed with flavor, and pairs perfectly with their delicious truffle fries and the aioli sauce! The ambiance is simple and modest, typical of a fast-food chain, but the quality of the food makes it worth a visit. Starbird has been popping up all over the Bay Area, and this location seems worthy to wear its name.

2024 is coming to an end which means it's time to clear those drafts that's been sitting there waiting to be posted. Ahahaha. I've been here a couple times now and all I can think about is their Elote Chop Salad. It is SOOO GOOD. Perfect ratio of everything like their chicken, tortilla strips, corn, and veggies. The sauce that comes with it is chefs kiss. (I usually ask for the tortilla strips and chicken on the side so it doesn't get soggy on my way home.) Idk if it's a limited item but if they removed this, I would be so devastated. I also love their Truffle fries. They do not skimp on the truffle seasoning. It goes well with the truffle aioli too which you can select from choice of sauce. I usually order in the app and it's ready within minutes. There's also a couple of kiosks in the front. There's a lot of table and seating. There's also a parking lot right behind the restaurant which makes it super easy for pick up orders, but sometimes it does get full during busier hours.12.08.2024 | Sunday @5:30pm

*Self service pad in the front where you order*On a weekday around 3pm it took about 25 minutes for 1 salad and 1 burger + I did an online order ahead of time before I arrivedIt was my first time trying out Starbird and while the chicken is crispy and not dry, it could definitely be a bit more moist. The chicken sandwich I had was tasty and I also ordered a Green Goddess salad. The salad itself was alright, but there wasn't much dressing at all and I ran out halfway. The salad itself was quite a generous portion of greens so on that part I was pleasantly surprised. The salad was much larger than I had expected. Through this one experience, while it's not on my top list, I'm open to trying Starbird again if I'm nearby.

The owner reached out to me after reading my review, acknowledging the issues I experienced and offering to provide credit to my account to make up for their errors. However, despite this initial message, they never followed up or provided the promised credit. While I appreciated the gesture at first, I wish they hadn't made a promise they didn't intend to keep, as it left me feeling even more disappointed.

Tenders came hot and soft. Seasoned perfectly. The salad definitely hit the spot. Kind workers! Cute patio outside.

Ok. Newer fast food restaurant. I will cut them a little slack. The lemon pepper wings were over seasoned and inedible. So bad. Worst of all time. bad bad bad. The chicken sando was good. Fresh dressed lettuce . I ordered the 2.0 star bird. I recommend it. Service was robotic. Literally. You can only use Apple Pay with the kiosks. When you walk up to a live cashier, Apple pay is not available. Cash or card only. Ambiance is fast food clean. JYW cautiously recommends the sando. Not the wings. Never the wings. Buyer beware if you order the wings. I warned you!!!!

Did not know a simple chicken place in the middle of an airport would actually be worth it! Well, take my review with a grain of salt because I had just finish a five day business trip in LV where all I survived on was ramen and fast food. So having some chicken with salad at a decent price was a BLESSING.Ordering was super simple, but if it's really busy you may not be able to order any pastries. I ordered a chicken salad and wanted a brownie since I was about to board a five hour flight and needed a snack on the plane. I only got my chicken salad since no one running the cash register to get me a brownie. But fear not, even if it's busy the food comes out fast and fresh (as fresh as airport food can get). I don't know how many people were in front of me and you can't really tell since you just order at the kiosk and wait, but the wait went really fast!As far as the food, again, don't forget my disclaimer, but I looooved that salad and chicken. The avocado I got on the side really hit the spot and made for the perfect plane lunch/dinner. I also love how much you get for the price. Hard for me to come back to this place, but I sure do hope there are more in other airports.Worth a stop and worth getting a meal if you're in the airport!
