Sizzling Lunch

Wifey was feeling rice tonight for dinner, was in the area and it was getting late. Stopped in not knowing what we were in for but the menu online looked promising and the smell was amazing! Wife had the garlic beef pepper rice with an extra egg, I had the beef udon with mushrrom, egg, and a side of curry sauce (not powder!). Service off the getgo was good, made sure to ask if we had been there before which we hadn't, and explained the concept of the place (cook for yourself at the table). Also the online menu/ordering system which was QR based (scan at the table). Food came out hot, server gave some tips and allowed us to work it out for ourselves. Later coming round to check in. We were full and felt satisfied, just enough without being too much for us. We were apparently more hungry than we thought! I'm not in this area often but will remember this in the future! A pleasant surprise, for sure.

The server brought us our hot plates 5 seconds after we sent our order to the kitchen. I am not exaggerating - it was super fast!! Unfortunately, they messed up our order (gave us rice instead of udon), so they had to take it back to the kitchen for a few minutes to fix. I ordered the Beef Udon sizzling plate with an extra egg. You have to stir and cook the beef and egg together when it comes out on the hot plate. Don't forget to add sauces for more flavoring. Sauces are stored in condiment bottles on the table. Don't be fooled, the red bottle is not ketchup or sriracha. It's a soy sauce!Overall the restaurant is very casual and family friendly. This location is right next to a Paris Baguette, so you can walk next door to get some dessert or goodies to take home. I had a good meal catching up with my friend.

The sizzling rice bowl (although was delivered) was 8 very thinly sliced meat pieces one of which was all grissle and was buried in a ton of rice and way over cooked. $31 for basically rice and a hint of meat The only reason for the 2 star is the drink Mango Frostie was excellent Go for the drinks. Pretty much my now go to for hot rice plate. Better than pepper lunch I would say. Garlic Pepper Beef plate is really good if you want some crunch texture into the mix.5/5Cheat day on the Pork Belly plate is mouth watering but you might want to mix it up with extra side of beef because the fattyness of the pork. 5/5OG Beef plate is the classic original. 5/5Pretty hits on the mark every time I come.

Yummy and filling food! My favorite plate to get is always the Beef Pepper Rice. Super simple but so yummy. The sizzling hot plate always makes the dish taste better and it's fun to mix. Just a fair warning though... Do NOT come here on a hot day!! My family made the mistake of coming here when there was a heat wave, and there was not much AC or ventilation in the building. The

Went here yesterday around 9:00 to catch a late dinner! We ordered the curry pepper rice and the udon! Right as we walked in we were seated and it wasn't that full since it was late. You order on the ipad and they brought out the food pretty fast.This wasn't over first time here, however, the food never fails to disappoint! 10/10 stars and would recommend this place. Both the rice and udon were cooked well and delicious. Not pictured but we also got the sugarcane juice and it was good I recommend! It is a little pricey but it's understandable since sugarcane is expensive. Overall 10/10 experience

Came for Father's Day special (free for dads) and it was quite busy around lunch. Ample indoor seating and great service. Ordered on the kiosk and food arrived in about 15min.7/10 Curry Beef Udon $16 - The udon was cooked well, beef was thin and tender, curry flavor was light and there was not much seasoning. A bit bland overall.8/10 Combo Deluxe Steak and Salmon $23 - Salmon and steak were pretty thin slices and cooked easily on the cast iron. Veggies were a nice addition and comes with a small soup. Seasoning and flavor was a bit better for this dish.

If you're a fan of the OG pepper lunch in Milpitas , then you'll love this place. It offers a variety of sizzling plates and one thing I love is you can customize it how you like. You can even ask for it with Less rice if you are watching your carb intake :). My go-to is their simple ef beef sizzling plate with corn. It comes out perfect every time and I love that the rice gets crispy the longer you let it sit. The place is bright and open and plenty of open space for seating stuff is also friendly and fast.

I've always heard of Sizzling lunch but never made the move to check it out until my friend took me here last month. Since then, I've been back twice because the food is delicious, fairly priced, and generous. I got the spicy garlic beef rice the first time and the curry beef udon this time around, both very good. The sizzling rice dishes give the rice a nice char so if you're a fan of crispy rice, you'll definitely love their rice plates. The udon was also really good and the noodles had a nice bounce to them. As a cheese lover, I added cheese to my udon and it perfectly covered my noodles after mixing, making the dish super hearty. Added bonus, they accidentally gave me an egg . Also, be sure to add a bunch of the garlic shoyu and a tad of the teriyaki sauce to your plates! I really like sizzling lunch because it's comfort food for me and really hits the spot if you're craving something greasy and hearty.

Sizzling lunch is always good. The soy and teriyaki flavors go well with the noodles and meat- gotta get the garlic butter too!! Servers were attentive and friendly. Overall a great choice for a quick lunch but you will smell like food after you leave from everyone's sizzling plate smoke/steam lol Curry beef udon: my go to! Sometimes with added cheese and I add all the sauce fixings: soy, teriyaki, ALOT of togarashi! Meat is extra $3. I haven't been here in awhile and I noticed they offer spicy miso as one of their condiments now and it's pretty good! I enjoyed using the spicy miso with my beef. Lychee sugarcane juice: real lychee pieces/purée in the sugarcane juice. It isn't the most fresh imo but not bad if you're craving it and already in the restaurant. There are definitely better places specializing in sugarcane juices so you can't really expect much. Overall refreshing tho it lacks that fresh sugarcane essence to it.
