Full disclosure: we took advantage of their free brunch promo today only. And we came for brunch last weekend because we had a gift certificate, and before that it was probably a few years between visits. But we really need to come more often. At our previous visit we had the Sixteen Mile Deviled Eggs to start and each egg had a different fun little protein topping. I loved the one with steak and the smoked salmon. Presentation was lovely.Today we ordered the Swedish pancake starter. There was a berry syrup drizzle which was not my kind of thing, too candy-like, but my husband liked it. The lingonberry butter was very nice.My husband got their Kobe Loco Moco both visits because it was so delicious. The Kobe patty was cooked perfectly. The gravy was amazing; I kept trying to figure out what made it so good--maybe a French onion kind of flavor? So deeply beefy with notes of caramelized onion. Last visit I got Sixteen Benedict, because filet mignon is always a good choice, which was good in theory. I thought the sauce was too thick but the flavor was good. The little bit of sprouts on top helped balance the richness but I would've enjoyed more sprouts or greens to balance. The side dish was tater tots and they were very crispy. Today I had Stable Steak & Eggs because I love steak. The 6 oz ribeye was perfectly char grilled. I could've used some seasoning. Eggs were good. Tater tots were consistently crispy and tasty. Both times, I took home most of my tots and my daughter immediately devoured them.My husband had to take home half of his loco moco each time because it was a huge quantity. And he actually ate the leftovers, which is a big deal because he usually forgets about his restaurant leftovers and doesn't eat them.To summarize, the star is definitely Kobe Loco Moco. Everything else is good, but I can't get that Loco Moco out of my head.

Sixteen Mile House in Millbrae offers a classic steakhouse experience with a warm, opulent ambiance reminiscent of a historic saloon. Diners frequently praise the attentive service and dishes like the 10 oz. filet mignon and beef stroganoff, which are noted for their flavor and quality. However, some patrons have reported inconsistencies in food quality, particularly with the prime rib.

Wouldn't even know about this place if it wasn't for the gift card we were given. Their brunch was recommended, but we made dinner reservations for a Saturday instead. Plenty of tables available when we arrived. Hubs initially wanted the prime rib but can never pass up fried chicken. He noted they were ok. Kiddo ordered the ribeye. It was huge. Had that charcoal taste, and he enjoyed it. Mom ordered the ossobuco. She noted the sauce had a strong wine flavor, which she didn't care for too much. She ended up packing most of it to take home. Dad ordered the liver and onions, and I ordered the lambchops. The lambchops also had that charcoal flavor as well, and the meat was tender. It was also cooked to a good medium - just the way I like it. All entrees also come with a choice of 2 sides. Hubs enjoyed the garlic mashed potatoes, and I liked the creamed corn. The waiters were friendly, but we had to ask for more bread and/or water. Overall, our experience was ok, although some dishes were a bit pricey.

I tried escargots for the first time, and while it's hard to say if they were good, I liked them anyway. The highlight for me was the sauce the escargots were swimming in. The fried shrimp and fries were crunchy, tasty, simple, and good. A glass of wine accompanied the meal, making it a delightful dinner. I'm not a fan of their decor, but it's fine. They have a bar with TVs and sports channels, which is a plus. I also appreciated the service; they take care of their customers.

Had a group dinner here for about 25 people. They set us up in a private room. Dinner choices were prime rib, chicken, and fish. Came with rice and vegetables and a dessert. Salads and bread as well. Service was speedy and the room was just right. There's a bar right next door if you want drinks. Great venue for a large party. There is ample street parking and a small lot right door.

Fun eclectic steakhouse! Great food, fun commitment to the theme inside. Steak was amazing, I had the petite filet mignon. Baked potato was good with the toppings. Could have skipped the fried prawns. Chocolate lava cake was a perfect ending to the meal. My waiter was kind and checked in, overall a great dinner.

I am a Soup and Salad fan! I really wanted to LOVE this restaurant. I ordered lunch- clam chowder and their Caesar salad. My order was ready on time. The server who cashed me out was very friendly. The restaurant was empty and clearly decorated in retro style. The bar seemed like a focal point. The clam chowder was a thick white soup with chunks of clams. I prefer a darker roux and thinner soup, just my personal preference. The Caesar salad..... what I received was more of a Caesar vinaigrette than a creamy dressing. May have been stated on the menu, but this vinaigrette was overly powerful with anchovies. Salty and fishy. Btw- a large soup is two small cups.
