We stumbled upon this spot after trying to find Hanna Noodle Bar which was next door but saw the menu and decided to stay around for the oysters The service was super prompt and they had plentiful covered heated seating great for doggos and kiddos that enjoy the outdoors.Adam our server was great he anticipated a lot of the dish needs like whether we were splitting, dressing on the side, etc super courteous of him as a server! The meal was delicious we were super impressed with the quality and the flavors. The house bread focaccia was delicious and the steak salad was also wonderful.

I feel so foolish to have discounted this place for being next to a Whole Foods. It is such wonderful dining experience with delicious, nicely plated food and just a really fun and spunky atmosphere.I've been here around 3 times now. It's such a funny experience, you park in a Whole Foods parking lot but the second you step in you see how vibrant of a dining atmosphere it is. You have groups of ladies having nice happy hour cocktails, little league dads talking shop, folks at the bar watching a game, or a few couples having an intimate dinner. Service is always superb. They have been very accomodating to guests and occassions (bday celebrations, kids, etc...). I can't wait to make it back here for a guys night, dining with the family, date night, or drinks!

6.5/10Tried to walk in with no reservations twice. The first time was a huge party of workers, so we couldn't get in. The second time, there was some event commemorating a funeral, with absolutely no notice posted anywhere until we got there and had to leave. The third time, we made a reservation, but the service experience wasn't great. I heard the cocktails were good and tried to order one but got carded in a table of 4 adults including one parent. I didn't have my ID on me, nor have I been carded for sit-in dining at any prior restaurant. My friend offered to order for me but was unable to. I ended up ordering a mocktail, which they also ended up serving incorrectly. The food was ok. There was parsnip everywhere. We got the pork chop, which was pretty basic. We also got the ratatouille which tasted like tomato sauce. The pork pasta was not bad, and the crudo bite with strawberry was tangy and delicious. We ordered a pistachio dessert and seasonal pumpkin creme brulee, both of which were pretty to look at but underwhelming in taste and quality. Overall, it was a nice try but I wouldn't go back.

First time at S&S for dinner and to sit inside. The food was excellent but I won't be back unless it's warmer weather and we can sit on the large patio. The volume level inside on a Friday night was horrible. Made a dinner for 4 with unenjoyable. Forget a big party, this isn't the place.

Came here on Christmas Eve with family and the warm atmosphere, good food and friendly staff really made the day. :)Food: Tuna tostada 4/5Decent amount of tuna and the sauce has a nice kick to it! The peanuts and guacamole also complimented Curry mussels 4/5Delicious, sweet and the mussels are very throughly washed so you don't worry about any grit. Chicken pate 4/5Overall a sweet and savory dish that leans more into the sweetness. The toast is perfectly toasted and the hazelnuts adds a nice crunch! It feels like a Christmas appetizer. Salad 5/5The MEAT IS ACTUALLY COOKED MED RARE. That was a great and pleasant surprise. The onions were soaked in water before so there isn't too strong of an onion taste ( good) but you get to enjoy all the crunchiness. The barley also adds fun texture. This salad is definitely a favorite and I can't wait to come back. Service: Attentive and fast! All the dishes came out quite quickly as well. Ambiance: Well decorated and welcoming. A place for all social occasions.

They were able to seat is without reservations around 5pm on a Thursday. We were able to order off the happy hour menu which ends at 5:30. This was our first time here so we ordered so much food. We got the mussels (which came with bread, and was in some kind of green curry sauce which was so good); the fried tempura vegetables (lightly fried); fish sticks (amazingly crunchy on the outside); the sip and slurp (sparkling wine with oysters); the whisky shot with the burger and the beer (great deal and the burger was delicious); steak bites (steak was so soft); lamb meatballs; hamachi crudo, and i got the chichi drink, which is a tropical drink with macadamia nut in it (so good!). The kids also got the kids menu item which was the butter pasta. Everything was so good! My favorite was probably the burger or the sip and slurp but everything was amazing. I also want to try the steak and frites next time!

We came here on a quiet Wednesday in January! What a delight. Our server was amazing. She told us the chef/owner was cooking that night which made total sense because the food was incredible and SO FRESH! This place is huge so we werent expecting such care in each dish but it felt like a small boutique chef owned restaurant in a large spacious location. One of my new fav places!

There are many positive reviews so I don't know if we ate here on an off night or what. I do like the restaurant atmosphere. It has quite nice decor, a cool blend of hip with a touch of modern rustic class. But service was slow and we felt unattended all evening. From ordering to food to water to the bill. When the waitress WAS with us, she was quite nice and attentive though. But still, wasn't expecting an hour and a half dinner on a Monday. Food was hit or miss. Oysters, risotto scallops, and octopus were good. Chicken liver mousse was an odd combination of flavors IMO. The sweetness overpowered the savory pate characteristic. The burger was average at best. I've had the same at my favorite restaurant (Forthright, now closed) which used to be a sister place to here. Seemed better there. And the seafood bucatini noodles were really undercooked. Not even al dente but kind of doughy. I dunno, I was expecting so much more for the price and since they are related to Forthright.

Shepard and Sims is a nice restaurant in Los Gatos and has a pretty good variety of foods to choose from. They also have foods for kids if you have some in your party. They have a nice bar area and some interesting sounding cocktails and non-alcholic drinks. Restaurant decor is nice. The burger here is pretty good and the portions are good size too. Servers have always been good when I have dined in.It sucks that they charge a 3% credit card fee. With more and more places going cashless and with the cost of food going up, people probably won't have that much cash on hand to pay for a family meal. I know restaurants are trying to keep afloat, but if you charge $22 for a burger, why not charge 22.50 and get rid of the fee?

Wonderful service! We had a BIG party and server was very attentive. I ordered a banana drink and a pasta. Both are excellent. Come with complimentary bread service. My friend got the pork chop and it definitely looked amazing. Would love to try that next time. Plenty of parking outside and if you come with big party, would highly recommend making a reservation in advance.
