I come here when I want simple, good Mexican food. You want a good burrito without a lot of fuss. This is the place.

We stop at Sancho's every now and then for a quick meal and recently brought home dinner to have with friends at the last minute. I love their street tacos and, while their quesadilla is not quite as good as Estrellita's it's loaded with cheese, which I love. The el pastore burrito is tasty with a hint of pineapple. Unfortunately, service is generally curt and relatively unfriendly for a neighborhood spot. Seating outside is pleasant. It's cash only.

The fish taco is SO GOOD. $7.55 seems pricey for a taco, until you see how big it is and how generous they are with the fish. I definitely recommend getting them lightly battered, instead of grilled, if you are a fan of the crisp!I got the regular carne asada taco as well, which was also very good. But the fish taco definitely stole the show.I will be back for more fish taco!!

Just tried to eat a chile relleno burrito from here and it was so bad I had to throw it away! A few bites in and it tasted off! Not to mention it was $15.99+ tax but it was one of the worst burritos I've ever had. As a Latin American, the quality of food at this restaurant location is offensive. Have some respect to the Mexican culture. If any ones abuelita tasted this burrito, they would get slapped with a wooden spoon! I used to think the food at their San Carlos location was really good. But the Palo Alto location on Middlefield is taking advantage of people and their money!

Normally a really good place for fish tacos, but I went there to get shrimp burrito today and the shrimp taste like ass mushy and just like salad shrimp or something very disgusting Como Esta Taqueria couple stores down street from this place at least they grill their shit right in front of you

I have yet to try anything else other than the FANTASTIC and VERY TASTY fish tacos!! They are so tender, juicy, flavorful and delicioso! They serve two types - lightly battered and grilled - both are GREAT! Unlike other restaurants that serve tacos on corn tortillas, sancho's uses a thin flour tortilla that leaves ample room for the filling (i.e. more goodness!). The only thing I can fault about this is that, due to their thinness, the filling can come tumbling out if one is not careful! Thus,, be prepared for a mess (be forewarned!).Also, since everything is cooked fresh, be patient while waiting for your order - you will be amply rewarded for your patience!

We ordered Chile verde burrito and nachos. The first 3 bites of the nachos were great but got old and boring quickly. I think this item would be a fun appetizer to share but not to eat as a meal. The Chile verde was a bit tasteless and chewy. The portion were huge.

I was hoping this would be a good go-to place in Palo Alto as there are two locations, one downtown and one in midtown. Unfortunately the quality and customer service was poor at best. Also, unfortunately they only accept cash. I will not recommend this restaurant.

This is the nastiest Mexican food I've ever had in the whole world! Do not eat here. Customer service is bad! The food has no taste and the waiters were complaining because I asked for a knife and fork and napkins. If I could have thrown the food in their face without going to jail. I would have. The salsa is nasty! The chips were stale. I wanted to tell the people coming in not to eat the food.
