We love getting food from Ritha - always big flavor, good portions, fresh, and prepared by an expert chef. Ordered the Kadai Paneer and loved every bit of it and enjoyed the spiciness.Other past favorites have been Chicken Tikka Masala and Saag Paneer - those two dishes are dependably delicious here. This is our go-to restaurant for Indian.

Good food but very expensive with small portions. $17 is a bit much for lamb curry with five small (1"x1"x1") pieces of lamb. Same story for the butter chicken. Five pieces for $16. WTH? C'mon guys. Do you want repeat business or not? Well then, treat us decently.Let me know when you give better value. Until then, I will not be back.

Was craving Indian food tonight and just found this little place in my own backyard. Ordered the chicken dum biryani and the kashmir naan - takeout. Had to wait a little longer past the pick up time, not a big deal. The food was delicious and holy cow - so much of it! I devoured all the naan (I have zero willpower) but I have plenty of the biryani left for lunch tomorrow. Very flavorful and not too spicy. The guy working the counter was front of the house was fine - just very busy. I will definitely be back for takeout again!

Good neighborhood spot with unique food. It's a small place, but great for casual dinings or takeouts. Server and host is warm. Food can be little spicy sometimes but they try to reduce the spice. They used to have pomfret fry but dont think they do anymore.

Residents of Foster City, I envy you this little gem!Thank you Yelp for helping us find this incredible spot. We ordered the grilled whole Pomfret, the set Dosa with chicken curry, the goat ghee roast and plain naan. Every single dish was delicious, but the grilled pomfret hit it out the park!A perfectly spiced and cooked Golden pompano, that was so reminiscent of the fresh fish I grew up eating in Mumbai. I will come back to Ritha just for this one dish. The set Dosa was two fluffy and savory rice pancakes( for the non Indians) that we chose to eat with the chicken curry. Oh wow that curry was so flavorful. I like that this place lets you choose from a variety of veg or meat dishes to pair with your starches. The server Yamini took good care of us, and with a smile, and the chef Bhagyaraj also came out to check on us. The only thing I want to point out is, the restrooms are located outside the actual restaurant, in the strip mall. It's just a few steps outside and not a hassle, but note worthy. If you haven't yet tried this place you need to.

We have kids and we have nut allergies- 2 factors that make eating Indian food challenging, even though we love it. Here, they knocked it out of the park. Our kids can handle strong flavors (spice), but not too much heat(spicy). Chicken 65 is lightly battered, fried and was very tasty. The saag chicken came with plentiful chicken and the spinach sauce wasn't spicy at all. Our kids mopped this up with the naan. The gentleman on the phone was clear when I asked him to inform me which dishes I was interested in had nuts. (Pretty much anything with a creamy sauce!) He was thoughtful to package the nut free dishes separately too.My son declared the lamb tikka masala the winner of the night. It is a slightly sweet creamy sauce with large chunks of tender lamb. We also enjoyed the chicken biryani. Rice was fragrant and generously seasoned. It comes with cashews and juicy pieces of chicken breast. Many restaurants give heaps of rice and a paltry amount of meat. This was not the case here. By the time I remembered to take a picture, we had devoured a lot of our dinner! We would order everything we ate again, and I can't wait to try other dishes. Bonus: They offer a 10% discount for cash.

I tried getting a table at 2:15 in the afternoon and was turned away, saying that they were closed. Why do restaurants list hours when they do not honor them they're supposed to be open till 230. Bloody waste of my time going all the way.--------------Response to the comment (and thank you for responding)Kindly publish a clear policy then. Don't publish that you are open till 2:30 and turn customers away at 2:15. What is your cutoff for seating customers?

Review for a door dash delivery. Good food but they messed up the spice level of the noodles. Idli - soft and big. Good chutneyVeg biryani - goodNoodles - was good but I had ordered mild and they definitely sent me spicy. I can eat spicy food but even after adding lots of ketchup, it was difficult for me.

Really, really great Indian food. We tried some South Indian specialities and were not disappointed. We got the fish curry, medhu vada, and the Gongura biryani. My favorite was the biryani - it was bursting with flavor! The slight tartness of the sorrel leaves, with the coconut-based sauce on the side, mixed in with all the spices, and a side of raita (yogurt), took the biryani to the next level. The chicken was well-cooked, but the flavor in the rice was the star of the show. My mouth waters just thinking about it! The fish curry was absolutely delicious, albeit a bit heavy. Finally, the medhu vada was freshly made (as the manager told us it always is), crispy, steaming hot, and soft inside. The accompanying chutney and sambar were also very good. Can't wait to go back!

Great food. Good prices. Friendly and sympathetic owner/chef. My kiddo loves the Hakka Noodles (indo-chinese - not many Indian restaurants offer it). Only minus is that they lately have problems finding staff, so at the time of writing this, it's takeout only - and it's just nicer to sit down to eat directly, food coming from the kitchen. (I'm not using any of the delivery services, as they're bad for the restaurants and pretty much everybody involved). Will eat again - takeout or in, when available.
