It's easy to make a reservation for Pausa online and specify seating preferences for the bar, inside or outdoor table. The restaurant can get crowded so it's a safe bet to secure a table. The wine and cocktail list includes a good variety. We enjoyed a couple glasses of rose. Their antipasta, salad and pasta are seasonal so they rotate the menu quite often. The kombucha squash endive salad with prosciutto crumbles on top was fresh, light and comforting. We also shared the margarita pizza, which you can never go wrong with, and their dough had a perfect soft chew!Pausa is a great local eatery for drinks and a meal!

I recently visited here to celebrate my partner's birthday and had a lovely time! First off they took the extra time and care to personalize our menus to say "Happy Birthday" with my partner's name which is the first time I've seen a restaurant do this! It was a small detail that made the evening more special. We ordered the Margherita pizza, Anatra pizza, pappardelle pasta, tuna crudo, and pork chops. Our waiter was very helpful in providing us with guidance on each dish. The tuna crudo was very small and not very flavorful, we felt this wasn't worth the price. The anatra pizza also had a bit of spice from the duck sausage, but the lack of sauce on this one made the texture quite dry. There was also a little bit of broccoli as a topping which did not add much to enhance the flavor of the pizza. The Margherita pizza, pappardelle, and pork chops were a knockout of the park! The pizza sauce was done perfectly with a very robust tomato flavor and not too overpowering with the mozzarella and basil on top. The crust was also very fluffy and tasty. The pappardelle had wagyu short rib mixed in with the pasta and I loved this! It added a nice melt-in-your-mouth texture to the chewiness of the pasta, a little salty on the sauce if you don't mix properly but overall well done! Lastly, pork chops were done really well, cooked extremely well, and the sauce (consisting of apple puree) / additional elements did a great job of enhancing the smokey, juicy meat of the Porkchop. One of my favorites! The ambiance is business casual, and a little packed in and noisy in the evening but beautiful interior design and finishes.

- Wonderful atmosphere & beautiful decor- Professional & welcoming staff- Original recipes with fantastic flavors - Pizza dough & pasta made in-house - Higher price point- Busy on weekends, reservations recommendedWent during Valentine's Day weekend (Saturday evening) and they still had happy hour until 5:30pm! Discount on cocktails and appetizers. Cheese board: chef's choice of 3 - was just the right amount to share between 2 people. The truffle honey was mindblowing and paired with the jam?! Perfection. Margherita pizza: we added sausage to it but honestly it's not needed. They provide scissors for you to cut the pizza yourself which was interesting. The crust was soft and fluffy like focaccia bread texture that we absolutely loved! Where the toppings lay were paper thin so it was a little difficult to hold together but didn't take away from the beautiful balance of flavors. Mussel pasta with sweet potato puree: can be a little "fishy" for those sensitive to that taste but otherwise the potato purée's sweetness helps balance the fishiness.Beef Short Rib: hearty and sweet sauce for the short rib and pasta is a flat, wide style, giving it more surface area to wrap the meat in every bite. Cocktails: Bastardo - sweet and slightly tart, almost like a wine cooler or sangria. A nice palate opener. Second one I can't remember the name but it has matcha flavors - not a huge fan as it was a little too strong for my taste but I did taste the matcha flavor!

I been here over 15x already and also recommended it to friends and family. The service was always great, especially with how nice it was to bring your dogs and sit outside.Yesterday night's experience was horrible. Service was nice, we made reservations for 2 at the bar. While in the waiting area, another guest broke a water glass and splashed water all over my partner. No one apologized or checked on us. We were seated near the corner of the bar and there was only one seat in between us and another couple. Why did they sat a couple in that ONE seat, yes one person stood and another sat but they were enjoying food and drinks right there. It was a nuance that they kept bumping into us and another couple. I didn't realize there was an option to eat AND drink at the bar while standing, because that was never an option before. We did ask for our food to be coursed out. But why was it about a 25+ min await after finishing our bread and salad before our entrees came out. We had to ask the waiter multiple times... plus when he was cleaning our plates he dropped the utensils all over my partner...The service was nice. But it was unprofessional to see all the wait staff stop to go drink or take "shots" (not sure if it was alcoholic, but it was clearly in shot glasses) with another party right by us. The food was ok. Enjoyed the salad, pasta, and bread. However the margarita pizza was really soggy. The Hugo spritz was delicious along with my mezcal cocktail. The interior was also well decorated as always.4 stars for the food / drinks2 stars for the overall service.

I went here for Valentine's day. I highly recommend the spring garlic pappardelle pasta!! I never knew spring garlic could have so much flavor and complement the pasta and the tender wagyu meat. The pizza was amazing as well, but I didn't enjoy the Funghi pizza as much. The clash of flavours was overwhelming. I opted for a lighter dessert option after indulging in carbs, as the desserts at this establishment are exceptional. The gelato and sorbet will definitely help with that, and it is delicious! Great spot for date night!

Delicious food, great service, and very friendly waiters. The food was well presented, flavorful, and filling. I really enjoyed the pizza and duck confit. They do some dishes with a unique twist such as gnocchi made WITHOUT potato, and tiramisu made with caramel inside. I found these more creative dishes to be hit or miss as they were very different from the traditional dish.

Good food and ambiance. I had the tuna crudo and seafood risotto and both were pretty good. The service is also pretty attentive and asked if there were any food allergies. The outdoor seating also has heat lamps that work pretty well so it wasn't too cold at night

I was intrigued by that extremely detailed review that made it seem like Pausa was the best restaurant in the whole universe. We came on a Friday night, and the inside was all full, so we sat outside under some heat lamps. It was definitely doable. Our server, David, was extremely friendly and chirpy. It was all our first time there, so he gave us plenty of recommendations. We ended up ordering the charcuterie board sampler, the salame calabrese, the sarawak pepper rigatoni, and the focaccia. Board was fire. It came with a lot more things than we expected. It's super cool that they cure their own meats at the restaurant. Bread also came piping hot hahaFocaccia bread was really yummy. Didn't have any toppings or extra flavorings, but it was fluffy, had a nice crisp on the edges, and was just a good base for dipping. Salame calabrese was my favorite thing. The crust is super thin and gets soggy, but the flavors were so good. The garlic and fennel on there were perfectionRigatoni was okay! Very meaty, the pasta was a nice chewy al dente. But I think the pizza overshone this one hahaOverall, I had a really good experience here! We didn't eat inside, but the vibe looks really cozy and aesthetic. Food is delicious and the service is fantastic!

We were in the neighborhood looking for a bite to eat and came across Pausa. I'm so thankful that we found this cute spot with amazing ambiance. We've been back a few times now and always look forward to our next visit. If you can score a reservation, awesome. If not, there are usually seats at the bar. Either way, you won't be disappointed. Some of our fave dishes are their seasonal salads, butchers/cheese boards, and the margherita pizza. The pizza has been the highlight for us and we get it every single time. For awhile they had a mushroom side which I absolutely loved. Their menu rotates so it's hard to fall in love with something before it goes away! Haha. They have a full bar and their bartenders make excellent drinks. Street parking only.

Came with 5 for a birthday celebration and were not disappointed! To start, they had custom menus with the birthday names on the top (nice touch). The waiter was "the bomb" - this guy knew his stuff! From memorizing the specials, the nuances of the menu, and the cocktail selection it was impressive. Nice mix of booths and tables, with a clear view of the kitchen in action. The place is POSH! Definitely a spot you take your favorite people, and the more the merrier as there is a huge array of goodness to dine on.We started with the Chef's Board Formaggi - a house selection of cheese with truffle honey, cherry compote, little crackers and bread. The portions were fairly small, so for 5 it didn't go far, and restraint was a must. Next was the butter lettuce salad which was balanced and bright. We then opted for the Romana and Margherita pizzas which were more than enough to share amongst us.Closed out with the Bomboloni dessert that were similar to a beignet consistency, and generous in portion. I would go back just for this honestly! The waiter also informed us that they have a very creative menu during the day with good deals on a variety of nibbles. I can see why some have voted them as one of the best in the nation. They've been there for many years, and have fine-tuned all the goodness. The prices are a tad high, but worth it! Definitely a special occasion destination or just treat yourself!
