We are pleasantly surprised by this noodle place! The noodles are perfect texture and we enjoyed all the dishes. Love love the braised beef noodle soup with knife cut noodles. The stir fry beef chili oil noodle was good too. We also tried chili oil pork wonton, tofu noodles and pork buns, all very decent. Everything taste authentic and we left the place with happy tummy :-) the service was good and very easy ordering through online via QR code.We went there twice within one week! Will be going back again soon! Highly recommend!

Service was casual and quick; and the staff were attentive. The decor is modest but nice. I enjoyed everything we ordered- lamb skewer waa tender and had a good seasoning, and so was the spicy beef. The cucumber shreds that came with the beef was refreshing in the palate. Braised intestine noodle was good. The flat noodle was soft and chewy. I did love the chili oil noidle, it was not too spicy for me and the wide noodles it came with had a really good chew in it.

Amazing food!!There's not too many tables inside for larger parties, so it can get difficult to come in a big group, but our party of 6 were seated in 15 mins.I got the Braised Beef Noodle with knife cut noodles and it was so good!!! The popcorn chicken and the cucumber salad was great too :))

I have been craving handpulled noodles lately and this definitely hit the spot. You can spell the aroma from the sidewalk. We arrived at the restaurant around lunch time on a Sunday and the restaurant was definitely packed but managed to get a table within less than 10 mins. We were 3rd on the waitlist. Between 3 people we shared the Lanzhou handpulled noodles soup large flat and the braised beef with Chinese pickle noodle soup belt flat. We really enjoyed the light broth in the Lanzhou noodles soup and the large flat noodle was my favorite. It was the perfect texture and chewiness. The broth in the braised beef was very flavorful and hearty but I didn't enjoy the belt noodles as much. It felt a bit dough-y. We all were so full afterwards as the portion was huge. I definitely would not be able to finish 1 bowl by myself.

Ox9 in San Mateo and Cupertino have been one of my go-to spots no matter the weather, mood, people I dine with, and budget. Their hand pulled noodles offer a unique twist on a bowl of noodles, and their wontons in chili oil have the best sweet, yet flavorful taste. I always order pig ears, and I actually really like how thick they slice it here. Ox9 on Castro met the expectations I had for it, both with food and with service. The inside feels a big bigger than the other two locations, and it wasn't actually too loud even though it was decently packed. Thank you Ox9 for making a location in Mountain View!

I am a huge fan of hand pulled noodles so I was so excited to see this spot open up in downtown Mountain View. I enjoyed it so much, especially in the cooler weather, that I went twice in one week! Parking was easy enough along one of the side streets in downtown. I first came on a Monday night around 6:30 pm and then again on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm and both times we were seated right away. We ordered using the QR code. I got the spicy lovers soup both times and loved the broth which isn't overtly super spicy but has a spice that creeps up on you. It comes with a bunch of fresh bok choy. It was a little oiler than I initially expected but still super tasty. I only wish you could choose the noodle type for this soup. While you can pick your noodle type for most soups, you can't for this particular one. My husband got the lanzhou handpulled noodle soup which he enjoyed. He also came another time and got the spicy ground pork dry noodles which he enjoyed even more than the soup. My friend got the braised beef stewed knife cut noodle soup which she enjoyed but definitely needed to add somw chili oil for a bit more flavor. We also shared the chili oil noodles which were tasty. A friend also got the spicy wontons which were filled with pork and said they were delicious. Will definitely be back, especially in chillier weather.

We came here on a busy Sunday night and were seated within 20 minutes. Be sure to hang about the area because if you're not outside the door, they'll take whoever is next right away! The food here matches that of other Ox9's - just as delicious and consistent. Noodles are wonderfully chewy. The spicy wontons are ridiculously umami. We destroyed everything. Portion sizes are large so consider sharing unless you're hungry hehe. The space itself is pretty large and well decorated. We got to sit in a nice corner seat which are my favorite. Overall, great addition to Castro!

Had a late Valentine's Day lunch here today. Quiet and not too busy at 1pm, with nostalgic Chinese pop music playing in the background. We shared a beef hot oil noodle and added two eggs, a pork rou jia mo, and a fried squid appetizer. The squid was lightly battered, well-seasoned, and cooked just right for a good texture. With squid it can be easy to cook it unevenly since there are thicker and also thinner parts, but it was all good! The pork rou jia mo was good and juicy, but I prefer the cumin beef one more. Finally the beef hot oil noodle is definitely my favorite thing to get here now. I have liked the QQ noodle version before (their You Po Mian uses pork and is more garlicky). But the Ox9 version is great -- most notably the very fresh chili pepper flavor, but also the tender beef chunks, wide cut noodle, and lots of veggies.

Delicious, chewy QQ, and umami-packed noodles. One of our favorite hand pulled noodles in the area. The chili oil noodles are our go-to but lacked enough veggies so I ordered an extra serving +$3, which meant just a couple more bok choy stalks. There's no protein so we ordered an egg +$2 on the side. Highly recommend adding some black vinegar for a nice kick! Although a bit small and pricey, it's a satisfying bowl of noodles for dinner. The Cupertino branch offered vegetable chow mein but I didn't see it on this menu (might've missed it).Quick service and very casual eatery where you pay up front / QR code.

We ordered two types of noodles: Lanzhou Hand-Pulled Noodles and Special Beef Bone Noodle Soup. Both noodles had a great texture--perfectly balanced between soft and firm. As for the broth, I preferred the Special Beef Bone Soup. Compared to the spicy broth of the Lanzhou Hand-Pulled Noodles, the clear broth of the Beef Bone Soup better highlights the rich umami flavor of the bone broth. The Juicy Pork Burger was also excellent. The bun was slightly warm with a crisp, toasted exterior, while the pulled pork inside was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor with every bite.We also ordered the Chewy Bean Curd Noodles with Cilantro. It's a cold dish that's incredibly refreshing and appetizing. Highly recommended!
