Out of the Barrel

This was my first time at this particular Los Gatos location. I've been to the one in Campbell and man. Was this place ever packed on a Monday night! Maybe since it was a holiday, but definitely a lively spot to watch a couple games! It was freezing cold outside, but there was still a nice patio area with heat lamps. I was lucky to find a spot by the bar and they have a number of different styles of beers as well as some delicious cider beers and I was, intrigued by a guava cider!! Turns out I got the last sip of that barrel so the bartender let me have that one on the house and I got a pineapple cider. Also both of the beers were delicious and I can't wait to go back and try a flight of beers which I should've done in the first place! They have these cute little wooden boards and they write the number of the tap the wooden portion with chalk! Cute little set up in great way to get four samples of beers! I will definitely be going back!!

Hubby and I met a friend here the Friday after Thanksgiving in mid afternoon. We were able to find a table inside so we could chat. Lots of people showed up and brought their dogs and sat outside. It was ok to bring the dogs inside while they were getting their order, so that was nice. There were a few tables inside but not a lot. Three large screen tvs that were playing football.At the far side (I came in through the door facing N Santa Cruz), there's a single bathroom. It's quite large in size. But there's not any good place to wait while it's occupied.There's also a few refrigerated units with wine, cans and bottles. There's also snacks you can buy (jerkey, chips, etc.). I asked if there was a food menu, and the gentleman behind the bar handed me a laminated menu. I got some pita chips and hummus as well as a mushroom empanada. They were tasty.Hubby & I got sours. I did open up a tab which was nice and easy. And my friend arrived and we had a nice 2 hours drinking and chatting. The noise level wasn't bad at all.The beer/sour menu was amazing. Something for everyone. And they had small pours you could buy to try something out before getting a large glass.

I really enjoyed my experience at Out of the Barrel. The staff was very knowledgeable on gluten free options and I was able to try a few before deciding on my glass. We also chose to grab some cans to go and I was pleased with the gluten free selection as well. It was quite busy when we came but still managed to get a seat at the bar. The interior is small but the outside has plenty of seating. Definitely worth checking out for a quick drink or some fun cans!

Cool spot to grab a beer and hang out. Lots of options on tap and cans in the frig. to grab. The usual mix of IPAs, ales, sours, ciders, etc. There's a patio to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. Staff is friendly and helpful, especially Jeff. He gives great suggestions to try and is cool to sit and talk stories. Easy to grab street parking. Check it out if you're in the area.

I enjoy going to this great beer spot that sits on a corner of a couple of major streets so you can watch fun and cool cars drive by. I always find a delicious drink because of the huge variety of beers, hard kombucha, sours and wine. My bf and I have ordered the spicy hummus and pita chips which is really good. However, they allow you to bring in your own food too so you can enjoy with your beverage. The service is always fast and really great people who pour beer without all the foam. Been here plenty of times and can't wait to go back after this heatwave has passed.

After a nice long bike ride with husband stoped at out of the barrel and I thought the service was great and even greater drinks.perty dead at 12:43 but I was not complaining. The ambiance was nice great location inside and outside seating. Definitely wasn't disappointed.

Out of the barrel is a fantastic place to be at to drink many variety of beers. This location is just as great as all the other locations. Great fantastic tapas good seating and wonderful beer tenders. Service is great. I would recommend people coming here as well. I enjoyed how you can drink cans here. Recommend the spot and will be back

Everything but those smokey outdoor heaters. This isn't 1825, I'm going home smelling like smoke. They invented propane for a reason. Think Mcfly think!!!

Convenient spot & a fantastic selection of beers. Plus... They always have a good stout on tap, year-round, which for some reason is hard to find in the south bay area.We stopped going to Loma & Happas because stouts are unpredictable and/or non-existent except for a couple winter months.

Out of the Barrel is exactly on the corner of North Santa Cruz and Los Gatos-Saratoga Road.For easy and ample parking enter from Los Gatos Saratoga Rd. The beer selection on tap is nothing short of amazing. There is a taste for every palette. Seating is mainly outdoors. There are a few seats indoors. Seating is attractive and comfortable. You drink FROM a barrel and ON a barrel!! It's okay to bring food in to enjoy with your beer. I think they sell a few food items, but it is absolutely not a restaurant. It's an extremely friendly interactive environment...mostly male, but all ages and genders can have an enjoyable time drinking delicious beer on this patio.
