Momoya Sushi

This place had very good food, decent service, and a chill ambiance. We scored with a Big Mac roll and a spicy tuna crunch. They were winners by far and so too is this quaint little spot in this plaza.

Momoya Sushi is in close proximity to a friend's house, so I had the opportunity to make multiple trips to this place. The hours can be limited, but if you are able to get to this place, it is definitely a good experience.During lunch, they have impeccable bento boxes and lunch combinations. I usually get their chicken teriyaki or beef teriyaki and my friend usually gets the salmon teriyaki. I enjoy the teriyaki chicken/beef and my friend insists that their salmon teriyaki is definitely the item to order. In terms of their sushi and rolls, the fish tastes fresh and they are pretty generous with the amount of fish they give you compared to other places for the same prices. It is definitely worth it! Service is friendly and fast and the ambiance is nothing to complain about. I definitely recommend giving this place a try and getting multiple different rolls and sharing with a friend!

1st review of 2024!Momoya Sushi is a hidden find in this strip mall. Prices might seem high, but the quality and freshness of the sashimi and sushi rolls are impeccable. Everything is delicious. Favorites are:-salmon sashimi-Blogger roll -Oishi roll-Dragon rollThe vegetable tempura is excellent as well - not greasy and includes many different types of vegetables.This is a family-owned business, and the service is excellent. I've been coming here for years. The restaurant is very clean and spacious with both tables and booths, as well as a small sushi bar. It's never crowded, but I know they do a lot of takeout orders. Parking is free in the lot.

It's been over a decade since our last visit, but the quality is still there (as is the same sushi chef!). The nigiri was perfection. My husband's chicken teri dan was huge, flavorful and fantastic. Our rolls were also good. Service was friendly and efficient. Love this place!

Being that I came during dinner I was a little concerned to see the place empty. But I see why, the prices are a little insane. The food was fresh and amazing however and worth the prices! Being that I'm a student I wouldn't come on a regular basis though, but for special occasions yes! I chose a plate that was a little cheaper ($25) a sushi Combo that came with the miso salad and soup. I asked for a side of rice but that was a mistake I made, because it came with a lot of sushi/rice already($2). I added a small "Asahi" ($4) and the total came out to be $33.83. Jay who is the serve there was very on top of things as well and friendly. Greet place to go with family! Try it out!

The Baja sushi roll was INCREDIBLE! The lemon cilantro was very refreshing and the salmon was extremely fresh and soft. There was a generous amount of salmon and it was really really good! I also loved the three amigos roll because it has a combination of three different fish and it was huge in diameter -- I just wish there was more! The hostess and server was so sweet and kind!

I was hungry for some donburi and I was going to Safeway. Then I remembered Momoya Sushi next door. I was there a decade ago lunching with my family. It was conveniently located near my work off Shoreline/101. The parking is in a shopping center lot.I ordered chicken don and it came in a wide bowl. It had plenty of vegetables mixed in with the egg. The veggies were largely cut and I love the onion rings were big. I chowed down and the egg was cooked well and sweet tasting. The veggies were just as sweet when mixed in with the egg. Rice wasn't too soaked up by the sauce. It was just right. It really hit the spot. The place is a good size for groups and the staff are helpful. Price is pretty reasonable.

We love Momoya! Sushi is very fresh and tasty. They don't skimp on fish. Service is fantastic. Just try it and you will be hooked.

Was extremely good and would recommend the volcano and lion king 10/10. Would definitely get this if you need good sushi.

This is one of my favorite sushi places ever! I haven't lived in the Bay Area since 2009 but every time I visit, I make a point to come here. My ultimate favorite is the Lion King roll. The salmon sashimi is a nice big portion with thick pieces, always super fresh. Another favorite is the deluxe unagi roll. The people who work there are always super nice too. I just want them to open a Seattle location near where I live now. :)
