If you're not willing to pay the expensive prices for lunch or dinner at say Tomi for example and are willing to go the extra miles for a cheaper buffet, then Milpitas Buffet is for you. It's not flashy or fancy or anything but it gets the job done especially for lunch which is only around 20 bucks per adult and 33 bucks per adult for dinner which isn't bad considering today's economy and inflation. The food is run of the mill and it's your typical all you can eat Chinese style buffet, the sushi isn't as various or as tasty as other buffets like Tomi but it's not inedible or anything which is something at least The service is good since last time I was there, the server my table got was nice attentive and always made sure to ask for refills and clean up our tables of empty finished plates The place is also packed but as long as you don't get there in the rush hours, you shouldn't be waiting too long for a table, the ambiance isn't bad eitherI will say, some things I don't like about this place are some items are dinner only and the all day prices for holidays can be a turn off for some since it can go to upwards of between around 30-35 bucks per adult before tax of course Overall not bad but not anything great either, it's more so decent and gets the job done in my book

Date: Friday, September 20th, 2024Time: around 6:45pmParty of: 3Meal: Dinner*Dinner Buffet ($32.99) x3*Soft Drink ($3.25) x3I was craving crawfish. A friend was craving snow crab legs. What has both?! Milpitas Buffet! Luckily there was no wait when we arrived. Two of us arrived first and were seated immediately. Our third patron arrived shortly after. There's a wide variety of seafood here: oysters, clams, shrimp, fish, sushi, etc. And they refill the offerings pretty regularly. Once a fresh tray of crab comes out, there may be a rush, so don't be shy and just go for it! For a buffet, the food was fine. For me, the crab and crawfish were a little bland, so I hit up the sauces to flavor it up: melted butter, hot sauce, lemons, etc. I adore soup, so I tried a few. The hot and sour for me was too sweet. But the seafood one, grab some crab legs and add the meat to the soup. Add a lil white pepper and it's delish. Dessert was a plenty. They also have a soft serve machine. My friend hit up the stir fry station. Those plates are huge, so keep in mind when grabbing your ingredients. For the price and the seafood offerings, not a bad deal at all.Note: They don't have alcohol which was kind of a bummer.REVIEW #3567

Milpitas Buffet is a good Asian buffet with a good amount of seafood. Lots of the basic Asian dishes and many different types of fish, shrimp, snow crab, oysters and other seafood. There's a grill with fresh teriyaki chicken and chicken skewers. And some sushi maki rolls as well as many desert options including soft serve ice cream. There's something for everyone. As with most buffets, it's not full of high end or gourmet foods. But there aren't many buffets left, so this is a nice option if you're looking for one.

It's like the typical Asian buffet. Variety of dishes to choose from. Especially seafood. The restaurant setting is just like other Asian buffets as well. The price has been going up since the first time I've been here. Fair amount of seating. Some dishes are pretty good. Some were just on the salty side. The sushi was alright tho. The dessert choices including ice cream was a plus.

We came on a Sunday for lunch, and this time around, they had the crab legs! The crab legs were yummy and probs my fave item. My second fave item was the steamed fish (had a ginger/scallion flavor). The Chinese veggies/green beans were also tasty. The clams, mussels, and oysters were solid. The salmon was dry.

Typical chinese buffet, nothing that makes it stand out. The hot dishes weren't that great and dim sum was dry. The sushi was ok and crab legs. Clean, fast service from staff.

I'm a huge fan of Asian buffets and any buffets in general. This review is strictly towards buffets and not comparing the food to the restaurant-style cuisine because we all know, it's different.Let me say, I had no idea this buffet was upgraded because the last time I came here was a long time ago in which I barely remember. I came here last week with my wife and parents and we all had a good time. The food was nice and hot and good tasting. My favorites here are their fried chicken, duck, chow mein, sui mai, seafood, and even their garlic bread. I'm not sure if the menu rotates or if it differs from Lunch to Dinner but overall, the food is good tasting and hardy. They have most of what regular Asian buffets would have which is good. There is plenty of seating, the dishes are refilled on time so you don't have to wait too long, the employees are either constantly cleaning up the tables and sweeping or their refilling empty dish trays at the food area, etc. This place is better than Newark buffet on all levels. There's no waiting for a table, the parking is better, the food is better, if not, the same quality, etc. They move fast here and I like that. I'm a fan! I definitely would come back again.

This place has been around for years and it was my Dads favorite place to eat. The price has increased but which restaurant hasn't? We decided to eat here after 4 years and it's pretty much the same. It has a good selection of seafood, Chinese dishes, sushi and a Mongolian bar which you can choose your toppings and they will stir fry it to order. I love their sesame balls and soft serve icecream. This AYCE place gets busy and the service is fast and they clear out dishes on your table in a timely manner. $3o plus each person doesn't cover a drink so just stick with water so you don't full fast!
