5/5 for the service and pricing3/5 for the food and location I was craving some lengua tacos and my cousin recommended Metro Balderas Taqueria, particularly this location. I had just came back from Tulum and was craving some quality Mexican food. Food: I ordered 3 lengua tacos, a horchata, and a carne asada super burrito. The lengua was cooked OK, I kind of wish there was a little bit more seasoning on mine. The chips were delicious. The green and red salsa were HOT, whewww (not complaining)! The green sauce was delicious, but I did not dare put that on my burrito because that was spicyyyy! The burrito was delicious, my fiancé ate 3/4 of it and I ate 1/4 of it in addition to my 3 tacos. The horchata was delicious! It didn't taste chalky at all, it was mixed well. Service: So nice. The music was perfect for a Friday night. No complaints.Location: Parking can be sparse, I got super lucky to find parking right in front. There's a parking lot that can fit about 7-8 cars and residential street parking. I recommend coming here during off-peak hours, so just prepare to circle around or walk a bit if you go during peak hours.Overall, quality authentic Mexican food. Would definitely recommend and be back!

Definitely one of the best pastor places I've been too.I feel like it's missing a little something for the top spot. The Char is great but it's missing some fat. The meat was pretty lean. On top of that the sauces were mid. Overall, solid taco and I love the pairing with the pineapple. 4.5/5Service was solid. Overall nice vibe and a lot of seating. Definitely an older look place.

Decided to try a new taqueria in San Jose and came here because everyone was talking about the al pastor which is my favorite burrito meat. I ordered a super burrito with al pastor, fyi there is no sour cream or salsa that comes in the burrito but that is okay. The price for a super burrito is affordable at $10.50 I believe. My first impression when I got my burrito is that it didn't look "super" sized and more of a regular. However, I took a few bites and the pork definitely is good and marinated well. Everything inside the burrito holds well and is not messy. I thought overall it had good flavor although I couldn't taste the cheese as much and I'd say there was more rice than any of the other ingredients. Also, I wasn't a fan of the orange or green salsa but that's just my preference! The orange sauce was spicy af and didn't really have any flavor or taste just straight spiciness. Friendly staff, fast service, good amount of people eating here so you won't find yourself alone eating here.

Cute taqueria with yummy tacos! They were cooking meat up front and it was nice to see the prep. We ordered Al pastor, cabeza, and chorizo tacos to try. They were all flavored so well and the crispy ends gave the taco a good texture. They had a green and Smokey red salsa to go with the tacos too. I'd come back again if I am in the area! There's a small parking lot on the side and plenty of street parking.

Came in for their $1.65 pastor tacos and while I didn't grab a pic of them they are a decent value for the price. Both the asada and the pastor tacos have plenty of meat, but slightly lacks flavor.. their green salsa does have a great kick and the red is good too. By far the best taco i had was the brisket as it was super flavorful and enjoyable. The chips were ok, but i did wish they had limes instead of lemons. Service is no frills as we ordered through a window, but the staff was super friendly. Parking is available in the back, but there is also street parking, but imagine it could be tough depending on the time you go.

Hands done some of the best mexican food i've had in the bay. The service was friendly and the food came quickly! I had been in search of some authentic al pastor and this place is it. The tortillas tasted fresh and the ingredients packed flavor. I will definitely come back for more!

I would rate this spot a 3.8 out of 5 stars. I wanted fish tacos but was sad they didn't have any. I ended up getting the 2 Al pastor and it was quite tasty! Everything was made fresh and you can see that the guy was cutting the al pastor off the rotating meat machine. The meat had good flavor. The service could be better but then again it was during Cinco de Mayo so I don't blame them. It was loud and crowded. The food took a long time to come out. Plenty of seats outside. Overall, it was cheap and good. Good spot to satisfy your taco cravings. Only street parking available.

Great food here. We've stopped in a couple times and I've had the tacos al pastor, carne asada hurache and tried a bite of my SO's torta de milanesa and quesadilla with chorizo. All are delicious but do note that the chorizo is quite salty. It can be loud, busy and a bit chaotic at times, depending on what day you go... smokey from the grill, festive music blasting outside, talkative friends and family, folks vying for a table as soon as looks like one might open up, staff zipping around quickly delivering plates of food, vendors selling dessert or flowers, kids running here and there... It's a lively, friendly atmosphere. Order at the window outside or the register inside, get your number, and they'll bring your food out pretty fast. Don't be shy if you need something... wave someone down (politely of course), ask your neighbor if you can please use the squeeze bottle of salsa on their table... you get the idea. Parking is not the easiest but there's also a good panadería and a heladería nearby for some sweet bread for the next morning or an after dinner ice cream treat. Good times! Buen Provecho!

WOW! We finally found tacos that remind us from Tizoncito in Mexico City. The al pastor is unmatched - I wish they gave more pineapple per taco. The tortillas are homemade. The sautéed onions are amazing. Salsa is bomb! Be careful with the jalapeño - they can be super spicy. The chicharrones tacos are also fire. My hubby loves their chicken tinga tostada and suadero tacos. I would skip the horchata as it's so watery. They take card and cash. We went on a Sunday at 6pm, and the line got longer and longer so I recommend coming at 6 or earlier! Parking can be difficult. They have only about 4 spots and a handicap one. Beware - sometimes people double and triple park so you're blocked in. But that's how you know this place is bomb.I also love their other location on Almaden! It's a lot smaller, but I prefer the al pastor there bc it's crispier hehe

Decent spot for some cheaper Mexican food! We got the shrimp super burrito, tostada de pata, and a small consomé. The burrito was huge and tasty, though the shrimp didn't really have a flavor so I had to pour lemon/salsa/onion/cilantro over it to get a good bite. The tostada de pata was ok, but beware that the texture of the meat is kind of rubbery (that's how they make it here). I'll go with tinga (chicken) next time. The consomé was delicious, and quite a lot for being a small size. It even came with a side of tortillas. Anyway, everything was like $28 so not bad for two people!
