My sister and I decided to try a lunch spot close to my apartment since I just moved to the area. The interior was such a cute vibe, with the yellow walls and the paintings of the history of the place that it was opened in 1960. Seeing how much it used to cost definitely hurt since it said that a whole chicken back then was $5. We decided to try a few dishes, and we devoured it as much as we could! We couldn't finished everything but I mean leftovers will be great for the week. The service was super nice, as they always checked in with us and making sure our water was filled up. And they served the food pretty quickly too! As I'm only like 7 minutes away I will definitely come back sooner than later if I'm feeling Filipino cuisine.

We had a group of people, celebrating a birthday. We went knowing what we wanted to order. The server tried to upsell us multiple times, pushing chicken dishes. It felt like they had an unexpectedly large order of chicken come in and they wanted to use it up quickly, before it went bad.The food was tasty for the most part. The service was awful. We were asked if we wanted to order more food when we were barely halfway finished with what we'd ordered. That part wasn't bad. A little while later, we were asked if we wanted dessert. We told her yes, but she didn't come back to take our orders. We eventually ordered and asked for extra spoons and bowls, since we were sharing. We eventually had to get up and ask at the register for the spoons. The server brought the bowls after a while. When we were finished with dessert, we waited twenty minutes for the check, but were ignored until we got up again. We entertained ourselves by watching the photos scroll by on the TV. Every one of the photos was either sideways or upside down. We had the check and the credit card, but no one seemed to want to charge it. Eventually we went up to the register again. If you're expecting to get in and out in a hurry, this isn't the place for you to go.

Honestly, the few times I've been here, it hasn't been the best experience. They tend to advertise all these special promotions but always fall short. We had ordered the Mother's Day special, and it took over 2 hours for it to be ready for pick up. So many people were complaining, looking for their orders, and wondering what the heck is going on. We tried ordering the Labor Day special, and now the perk was you can order online. The problem was that when you ordered it was sold out. How was that possible if they weren't even open yet. I felt like it was a scam because you could order all the items, and it was available, just not the promo they had. We placed an order through doordash for my mom's birthday, and they fell short again. The chicken was dry and not juicy. It doesn't taste like what it used to. For the price you pay, the taste was comparable to a filipino restaurant where it's turo-turo. If you know, you know. My family always wants to order from here because of the promo, but in my opinion, you're better going to another filipino restaurant. The place isn't that big and not always clean. The tables always look like they need to be bussed. People who work here are not super polite. They tend to ignore you. Which I been is super rude.

It was actually my first time eating Max's (front what I could remember). We were craving Filipino food and thought we'd eat here since we were leaving the mall nearby. Quickly got seated when they opened for dinner. The place got packed pretty quickly. We ordered the lechon kawali, palabok, half of the fried chicken, and two mango juices. Food was okay.... I was extremely disappointed in the palabok. The noodles had a very bad taste to it, not spoiled but just as though it was boiled a couple days before and had been in the fridge then reheated. I'm usually not a picky eater but I took one bite and couldn't finish the rest. I was really put off for the rest of the dinner but still ate the other food. The chicken was really good, super juicy and crispy on the outside and you can never go wrong with lechon kawali! The mango juice tasted like the ones you buy from a can at the Asian markets. Rating Max's a 2/5. Service was good but I don't think I would be coming back. There are other better Filipino restaurants in the area.

Easily one of my favorite Filipino restaurants around the area. The food is always top notch. My personal favorites are the chicken adobo, crispy chicken, garlic rice, kare kare, and sinigang! Then for dessert--halo halo! They even have a house special drink which is calamansi mixed with raspberry. The dishes are excellent and the service is absolutely wonderful. The staff always make me feel right at home. During our recent visit, the staff was super accommodating for our party of 10. You can make reservations for parties of 6 and up. Sa susunod ulit! Maraming salamat, Max's Daly City!

We wanted to order pancit canton, crab fried rice, and spaghetti. They didn't have any of those. Like literally none of those. So we got lumpia, and the sauce has pineapple in it and I'm allergic. It didn't list any pineapple on the menu. They didn't know what was in the sauce so they had to call whoever made it. We got the pancit, it has shrimp and my sister is allergic to shrimp. It didn't list any shrimp on the menu. Luckily she didn't eat it, but when we realized there was pineapple in the sauce it was too late for me.We wanted a regular halo halo but they didn't have ube ice cream. We ordered the tres leches halo halo, but they gave it to us without the leche flan and said it was a dos leches because guess what, they didn't have leche flan either.

I have only been here once and tried 1 entree on their menu. I ordered the Lechon kawali sisig. The server was really kind and let me order a bowl when it wasn't technically available because it was the weekend. I really appreciated him letting me do that. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the sisig. I wasn't expecting it to be so milky and chewy. I only ate a bit and then I was done. I originally wanted to take it home but it was a bit difficult for me to get someone's attention and ask for a box so I just paid and left. The service was kind but a little slow. I think since I was alone and sitting at the counter I was a little forgotten about. I don't know if I would come back, if I did I would try breakfast instead. Home cooked filipino food is usually my preference.

My family and I did not have a great experience eating here. We were seated but were not given any menu's until we got up and went to the register and asked for some. We then had to flag down someone to give our order (it wasn't busy so the delay in service did not make sense). The genuine drive to serve and give customers a good experience at this establishment was non existent. I say this because the entirety of my time here consisted of half apologies, employees not being consistent with their services and the employees joking around instead of doing their job. They did not have toilet paper stocked in the bathrooms. It is concerning that with the amount of employees they had clocked could not stock the bathrooms or check in with customers. I am not impressed nor will I return to this establishment due to the mediocre food and rude treatment to my family today.

Here is a draft 1.5 star Yelp review for Max Fried Chicken:"I stopped by Max Fried Chicken for a quick lunch but ended up regretting it due to the poor service. The older lady working the cash register seemed overwhelmed but took it out on the customers. She was rude when taking my order, telling me she didn't have time to serve me because they were too busy. I'm sure she would have spit in my food if I wasn't watching closely. She was equally rude to the GrubHub drivers picking up orders, yelling at them to hurry up. The only nice person working was an older man who was busting his butt to help out in the kitchen and with other tasks. It was clear he was doing the work of multiple people. As for the food, the chicken itself was incredibly dry and tough. It lacked the juiciness and flavor I've come to expect from Max in the past. This location must be using a different recipe or supplier. The service alone would warrant 1 star but I bumped it up slightly for the kind man working hard behind the scenes. I hope the management addresses the problematic cashier before she drives away what remaining customers they have with her nasty attitude. There are too many other great fried chicken spots in the city to put up with poor service."

I have always loved dining at Max's. We love the Las Vegas and Bakersfield locations. However, the Daly City location leaves much to be desired. Starting with the cleanliness or lack thereof, dining room is quite honestly a little grimy and the dishes seemed to be missing the traditional Max's flavors that we are so used to. First and last time at this location but overall we love Max's
