Macs By Icky has recently become my go to for coffee, breakfast sandwiches and such. They are a locally owned business that offers a variety of Filipino desserts and food as well as some amazing coffee and other specialty beverages.I absolutely love the vibe of this place, they have cute and vibrant decor. The purple murals are very eye catching, they have some nice quotes on the walls and they always have great music playing. Walking through that front door definitely puts you in a good mood. I really like their coffee as they have some great options and during the week they may offer some specials. Their Red Velvet Latte is really good and their Tiramisu Latte has been a favorite of mine as it's been a special on the menu for a couple of weeks. I have yet to try their famous Ube ice cream tacos or lemonades but I have tried many of their food items and they do not disappoint. I'm a fan of their cookies, their croffles are amazing and cooked to order and their tres leches cakes are really good. One of my favorite items they have is the Bacon, Egg & Cheese Ube Pandesal. It's definitely one of the best and unique breakfast sandwiches that I've had, everything is fresh and the Ube bread is just what sets it apart. They recently featured an Adobo Banh Mi Sandwich which was also amazing, the bread was fresh, the chicken was tender and nicely seasoned, the veggies were fresh and crispy. All around their drinks and food are top notch and I always look forward to each week and what special items they will feature. They are definitely a great addition to the area and the offer a lot of yummy and unique drinks and food, I highly recommend trying them.

I first discovered this spot at a pop up event hosted by chef green in Oakland almost two years ago. I fell in love with their lemonade and immediately followed their social media in hopes to catch them again. Flash forward A few months later I find out they are opening a spot right down the street from my internship in Hayward and I was ecstatic! Every drink I have had from here is delicious! The staff is always friendly and help give great recommendations when I feel undecided. I bring everyone I know here and they always ask when are we going back! Although I am done with my internship, on special occasions I treat myself and make the drive from Hayward to Oakland! My favorite cafe and I am so happy to see them grow :)

I've been to Macs by Icky 3 times in the past 2 weeks. The drinks are good, and the pan de sals are perfect for the mornings. I tend to prefer sweet drinks, so the Honey Latte and any of the Ube drinks are up my alley. The Pan De Sal bread is always soft, and they're the perfect size for you to be satisfied.The staff is always friendly and pretty quick to get your order out. The place is clean, and there are lots of tables to enjoy your food. Sometimes I have trouble parking in the plaza, especially on the weekends, but there is a small lot in the back and Macs is on the end of the street

Trendy Filipino café that has dessert and some quick breakfast offerings. Both things I ordered today were incredible. They keep it simple here but really delicious and unique!Bacon Egg & Cheese Pandesal - soft delicate sweet bread lightly toasted. Really balanced and tasty breakfast sandwich.Ube Milkys - I ordered this one ignorant of the fact that there's no coffee in this. It tastes like a lovely ube cereal milk. 10/10 would order this one again!This place is really good, and I was pleasantly surprised by the food quality given it's a dessert spot.

I literally just left Macs 5 minutes ago & here I am writing a well deserved review for them. That's how you know the hype is real lol.Cookie order: brown butter ube, ube crinkle, Oreo cookies&cream, & original chocolate chunk.10/10 for my order & here's why -cookies aren't overly sweet-portion is generous -flavors & ingredients taste fresh -the ube they use doesn't taste artificial & overly sweet like in typical Ube desserts -customer service was friendly & quick especially with long linesI'll be back, salamat po Macs for the yummy desserts & welcoming hospitality!

Macs By Icky is one of my fav Filipino cafes. If i lived closer, i would be coming here so often. They have a big space for indoor & some out door seating. We came when they opened on Saturday since we were in the area. We ordered the Ube Thai Tea, Ube Pandesal w/ Egg, cheese & bacon, Ube Tres Leches & Ube Crinkle Cookie Croissant. The Ube Tres Leches is one of my favs from them and I've gotten this multiple times from them. This is definitely the spot for Ube items. They also have a ton of coffee, ice cream & baked goods to choose from. Service was pretty fast. Parking is a mix of free street parking & a small lot behind them. Will be back soon!!

Mac's by Icky is hands down my favorite coffee spot in Union City! Their ube flavors are incredible, but I also love their caramel macchiatos and seasonal menu items. The Gingerbread Latte was absolutely delicious, and the Caramel Macchiato with the ube soft top is a unique and tasty treat that I can't get enough of. The customer service here is fantastic--they even remember your name, which is such a thoughtful touch. The atmosphere is perfect whether you're studying, working on your laptop, or just catching up with friends. One of my favorites this past season was the Pumpkin Spice Chai Iced Latte. I'm sad to see it go now that it's the new year, but I'll definitely keep coming back to try new drinks and enjoy my favorites. Let me tell you, the cookies here are absolutely amazing! The Ube Crinkle Cookie and the Ube Cookie are out of this world. They're the perfect mix of chewy, texture, flavorful, and honestly, they're a must-try. Pro tip: definitely grab a cookie (or two) to go with your drink--you won't regret it! Mac's by Icky really stands out as a cozy, welcoming spot with delicious treats and drinks that keep you coming back for more. If you haven't been here yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. I always have to praise the workers here. They are just the friendliest, and I love how last week when I came in, the guys was like, "Wow, we haven't seen you in a while. Welcome back." The last time I came in was maybe November. This visit I came in and tried one of their new cookies, White Chocolate strawberry. I always have a wonderful experience when coming here. Thank you so much.

Lots of space - great for hanging out and meeting up with friends or co-workingCalamansi Black Tea was sweet and good! The pan de sal was ok, but the meat was really really bland needed a kick or achara sweetness or some soy sauce, like some sort of char to give it some flavor. Disappointing only because it was kind of expensive for something that felt matabang (bland), surprisingly flavorless.I've been here before and everything was really good so was a little sad there was no sweetness to the meat, but the drinks saved the day! ServiceThe staff person couldn't tell me if one of the ice cream taco flavors was good since they hadn't tried it (strawberry I believe), but at least they were honest, which is really important when reviewing food recommendations from anyone. Would come here again and try something new.
