Love In Slice

4-4.5 stars overall, but rounding up for their amazing customer service! I haven't had the opportunity to travel to Brazil, and was very interested in trying a Brazilian carrot cake with chocolate/brigadeiro frosting. I've had brigadeiro truffles before, but not as a frosting. You need to place your order at least a day in advance, and Karina is super responsive and communicative. I placed my order the day before, and confirmed a time for pick up. You place a 50% deposit to confirm your order, and payment is accepted through Venmo or Zelle. My order was ready when I arrived, and Karina was nice enough to bring it out to the car. I tried the Individual Carrot Cake ($10, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=juykCb5GOzFQtEPlfSa9EA&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=PoZQPebMtM7kqmsf6-qbDw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg), which was the perfect size for me. I was worried that the brigadeiro frosting might be too sweet, but it was perfect! I loved the crust on the outside of the carrot cake; however, the inside was a tiny bit on the dry side. The overall flavor was still great, and Karina was so open to feedback I'm sure she'll have any kinks ironed out soon. I have not seen this style of cake available anywhere else, and I'd highly recommend giving this unique dessert a try!

The carrot cake from Live in slice reminds me home and became a comfort food for me.It's delicious, soft, and they have gift box options if you desire to gift someone.No way to be wrong with them.If you are looking for a real Brazilian carrot cake order from them.

This cake was not you're average cake. The chocolate was so delicious and cake was so moist that it just melts in you're mouth. It went perfect with a glass of milk! I will for sure be spreading the word about this masterpiece of a dessert (I might try a slice for breakfast tomorrow... shhhh lol). Thank you and I will be a returning customer. Not to mention it came in cute little display! For sure thought about the attention to details.

Found a new addiction! Not only did the cake taste amazing, but the customer service was top notch! Katina responded to my order immediately and was so accommodating to when I was available to pick up the cake. I couldn't wait to get home to eat the cake and already am planning to order a another one. The first slice was so much fun to cut into as the chocolate sauce/icing oozed out from the center! The texture of the cake was soft, baked perfectly, with the right amount of flavor. The chocolate sauce was my favorite! It's not overly sweet but tastes very decadent!

Best Brazilian carrot cake I've had in the area. Honestly, it's the closest you will get to that delicious homemade carrot cake we all grew up with in Brazil. Fluffy and very generous frosting (BRIGADEIRO FOR THE WIN!!!). Do yourself a favor and order the full version, otherwise you will be beating yourself up for eating the whole individual version in one seating like I just did . For real, this thing is amazing, has a reasonable price unlike other places around and customer service is great!

Wow can't say enough about this cake. Absolutely delish. Moist and not overdone with spices. You will not be disappointed. The chocolate topping is amaaaazing.

They did a last minute cake for me and were so nice about it and so helpful! Best part was the cake came out so perfect and tasted soooooooo good! It was ready at exactly the time they told me it would be. Definately my favorite!!
