The pho broth is good, noodles fresh (wide noodles come standard), but they don't have brisket. It did come with culantro (yes culantro, not cilantro) which is rare at most pho places. The papaya salad is different from Thai papaya salad. It was finely sliced and the beef was good. They did not ask us about spice level but it came without any spiciness at all. The flavor is more akin to the Vietnamese pickled carrots and daikon.

A simple local Vietnamese restaurant serving typical food items you would find at a pho restaurant. The interior is nothing extravagant but contains a good amount of seating with both small tables for 2 and larger tables for 8. The food especially the soup noodles really hit the spot for cold days. Flavor is there but not overly strong where it's too salty. Highly recommend trying the beef carpaccio if you're okay with raw food. The beef is pretty tender and with the lemon juice, it's a nice sour and umami flavor.

Had a little cold at the beginning of the year. Whenever I am under the weather all I crave is Pho or Ramen.I had not tried the combination Pho at LVB and figured it was an ideal time. Their rice dishes are fantastic, so I was very optimistic. As it turned out, it was decent, but I was expecting it to be better. For me, what makes or breaks Pho is the broth. it was a very particular flavor and I know when a place gets it right. LVB comes close, but it was just a little off. Everything else in the soup was good (meat, noodles, etc.).I am willing to give it another try because thy do such a good job with their other dishes.Service was good taking into consideration it was crowded and it looked like they only had two servers. Now for the pic...

Just had dinner here and the serving sizes are pretty big. Definitely left this place full with the four of us sharing the dishes. The papaya salad was good it's not spicy at all however the sauce is on the bottom so make sure you get it from the bottom. The squab was very tasty we enjoyed that. The beef omg was really good and super tender. The ox tail soup was good and hearty. The spring rolls were pretty fat but the dipping sauce was more on the peanut side it was missing something but overall this place is good. I don't mind coming back and trying their other dishes.

Good portion sizes and food, but full disclosure, it's more of a Chinese Vietnamese style restaurant than true Vietnamese. The workers speak Chinese and some of the items on the menu are a little random. That being said, everything I've had here so far is good. The Oxtail noodle soup is tender and hearty, the appetizer rolls are good. The service is really not great, they never refill anything, workers all have attitude. I would give it four stars because I do like the food but I am reviewing it for being a "vietnamese" restaurant and service as well.

Went for DinnerFood - 5/5. Pho had a wonderfully fragrant broth with a rich beef flavor. Broth was skimmed well, having very little oil, leading to a clean taste. Noodles were soft and flat with a thickness that was perfect for adding a little bounce to its bite. Beef was cooked just slightly from the broth, making it very tender and savory. Their garlic noodles were classic, using spaghetti with a healthy dose of Parmesan cheese. It still had plenty of Vietnamese flavors, with a strong emphasis on garlic. The steak cubes were tender and seasoned well, but not uniform in size. This lead to some of the beef having a stringy texture, especially if they were too thin. The pieces that had a good thickness to them had a great bite from being medium rare with a rich aroma from the sauce.Service - 4/5. Friendly and quick service.Value - 4/5. Pho was of good size and priced in the mid $10s, which is standard for the area. The garlic noodles were good and the giant portion fit the price tag of $35, but I wouldn't say the steak quality made it particularly worth the price. Other dishes offer steak cubes in the $20s and you can get the garlic noodle with other proteins in the mid $10s price range, which is probably of better value.Parking - Street (Metered)

Affordable prices, good food, friendly service, and HUGE portions! My parents love this place so I finally decided to try it and could see why they've become such regulars. Honestly, the first four points really sum this place up but here's a more detailed review of the food items I tried. - 7. Vietnamese beef carpaccio (raw beef salad or bo tai chanh) - flavor was good, beef was fresh (no stomach issue after!) but there was way too much onion compared to beef and mint so ratio was a bit off for me. Probably would skip it next time. - 60. garlic noodles with five spice chicken - my new go-to order. Garlic noodles are very fragrant with strong garlic butter flavor and the scallion onion on top with the fried shallots. Flavor of five spice chicken is ok but it's moist and succulent. This was honestly enough for 2-3 people. - 42. French style squab with raisin and onion sauce - STAR of the show. This is a dish that has a special memory in my heart and palate and when my family had it here, all the memories came swarming back. My family was shocked upon first bite and upon checking with the chef/owner Peter, we realized he was the original creator of the dish that we've had years ago. Safe to say that we'd come back just for this dish. Note that it's a limited chef's item; and I was almost going to gatekeep this but I owe it to chef Peter to share this here!Solid Vietnamese place with a large variety of options from pho to pho ga (chicken noodle) to garlic noodles and rice plates, there's something here for everyone. Love having this place around our area and I'll be back soon so more reviews on other items to come!

A small restaurant with a nice ambiance with around 10 tables. I enjoyed the pho ga, however the service was nonexistent. I had to flag down someone to order, I had to flag down someone for drink refills, I had to flag down someone for silverware. I even had to flag down someone to pay the bill. No one ever came with the bill so my table got up and went to the cash register in the back of the restaurant to pay. The entire experience was frustrating and not worth it. I don't recommend LVB and I probably won't be returning.
