La Superior Taqueria

Small taqueria, not much seating, basic variety of food and a good variety of pastries and cakes. They also have a refrigerated section with a variety of desserts, drinks, fruit and other items. My husband's go to items are the tacos, side of rice and a cookie with sprinkles. I too enjoy the tacos but also like the chili rellano (this is served in a little bit of broth, so if you are use to receiving a dry rellano this will be a little different but it is so delicious), burrito and pastries, at times I will get a tamale. Also, love the agua frescas, I never go without getting one. Only once have they forgotten to give us an item we ordered unlike another taqueria that we use to go to that frequently forgot items. This place has become our go to place to grab a quick bite but be prepared because they do get quite busy. Some of the employees only speak Spanish so sometimes it's hard to ask questions but we have always received friendly service.I do wish that they had pozole and caldo de res though.

On Wednesday 11/20/24 around 4pm my friend Melissa, her mother and father arrived to purchase Mexican Bread, 8 tacos, & watered down Horchata.When my friends mother brought asked to have it exchanged for another drink the worker refused to do so.It turned into a big scene where a male employee stepped in to ask what the issue was.The drink was exchanged for Agua Fresca.This is completely unacceptable behavior.I phoned for a manager and got no where with that.We'll be phoning again because no ones family should be treated in this manner ever.For some reason the staff answering the phone is saying that the manager/owner are unavailable and have no set schedule.The point of this is that it was by my recommendation that my friend and her family visited this location. My friends mother was taken there for a treat after months of wrestling with financial issues.This treatment is unacceptable.

A few things went wrong-1. They had my order wrong, 2. When I let them know it was wrong they said they would need to charge me because they would need to remake it while also saying I never told them (why wouldn't I tell them to remover a sauce that I'm allergic to?) and 3. The food was plain and barely had any cheese. Never going back and such a disappointment that I would need to pay for them to remake food they messed up on.

Went in, asked for a veggie burrito (up on the menu for $11.99). Was told they don't have that. So I left hungry.

Panadería and Taqueria combined is already a legendary mix... pero let me tell you. The salsas were delicious, the tacos were delicious, the chorizo burrito was delicious. This is a San Jose staple now.

I came for a burrito. It was good but it could be better. Some carne asada pieces were burned, and some were not cleaned well. Overall taste was good.On the way out, I couldn't stop myself from checking out the deserts and purchasing two giant ones. That's dangerously good!

It was Menudo Sunday thats when we get Menudo to go. Ordered ahead before coming here that way i can just pick up, and go. Customer service is excelente very nice ladies. Food is great! Menudo is bomb!!!

Huge burritos! Ordered two super carne asada burritos and they were very large. Great amount of all ingredients. Saved half for later.

The food here is very mediocre, they take forever to make your food, and they mess up easy orders. And burned

I ordered a chile verde plate. Flavor was lacking and meat was dry. When I was handed my order I had to ask for salsa. Salsa wasn't included with the order, so I am glad I caught that before leaving. I was given a premade plastic packet instead of the fresh salsa in the small to-go cups I could see on the counter. I even had to ask for one more since I didn't think one packet would be enough. Major disappointment! Most other taquerias give salsa freely. Some even have open salsa bar and give you three cups to fill for your order.
