Came here on a weekday. Arrived at 1:30 and was immediately seated. We ordered the fish and chips and the chicken quesadilla. Food came out quickly and was delicious. The fish and chips were crispy and it came with criss- cut fries. Coleslaw is fresh and tasty.Forgot to take pictures, but the yelp pictures are very accurate. Would highly recommend. The price was reasonable and portions were generous.

Ordered a chicken quesadilla for takeout, and it came with sides of fresh guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream. The portion size was generous, and it was the best chicken quesadilla I've ever had. I ate the entire thing, and the guacamole and pico were incredibly fresh and delicious.Definitely coming back to try more menu items!

La Pesca Blue in Los Gatos offers a nice, relaxed atmosphere perfect for a casual meal or a night out. The garden salad garden was arranged beautifully, providing a fresh and appealing start to your meal. The service is terrific, with the staff eager to help with menu selections, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.Their selection of draft beers is impressive, pairing perfectly with the seafood options, which are plentiful and well-prepared. In addition to seafood, there are also great alternatives for those in the mood for something different. We tried the fish and chips, fish tacos, chicken tacos, and chicken quesadillas--all were very good to excellent. The quality and flavor of the food really stood out. We're so happy to have such a high-quality restaurant nearby.La Pesca is a gem near Los Gatos, and I'm glad we gave it a try. Definitely deserving of 5 stars!

This place brought back a lot of memories as I used to frequent the restaurant when it was part of the Live Oak Kitchen many moons ago. We dined on Friday evening at 6:30pm and there a decent amount of tables seated. The menu has the obvious seafood options, along with salads, steaks and chickens, pastas. I love crab cakes and had high hopes but this was not the highlight of the meal. They were so greasy and quite thin and I didn't get much fresh crab taste. The entrees however were pretty good. The fish tacos with a side of rice was very tasty and I would order this again. The side of salsa was quite nice too. Hubby got the Santa Fe chicken salad and he liked it. The chicken had a nice mesquite grilled flavor to it. If we come back, will have to try the clam chowder or the lobster bisque as I saw lot of soup orders going out. We skipped on the dessert this time. I'll have to give this place another shot and order some other items. I would give 3.5 stars if it was an option. Service was fine.

Pros:- Takes reservations and can accommodating big groups- Wide variety of seafood, pastas, and fried food with respectable wine+beer selection- Kids friendly, they have one of the best kids menus that i've seen at a seafood placeCons:- A bit dim and loud- Pricey. Expect to spend in the $25-35 range for a not very fancy seafood joint - Staff can be hit or miss. I asked about moving tables because we had a baby and they didn't seem very accommodating but did bring out food + seat us fairly quicklyOverall, I enjoyed the food and thought it was a fun place to stop by when craving seafood. Would come back again!

I ordered takeout from La Pesca Blue for lunch on a weekday -- not busy though there were several tables of patrons when I arrived to pick up my order. Their online ordering is straightforward, and quotes roughly 30 minutes for orders generally. I ordered the ceviche appetizer, which came with multicolored tortilla chips (plenty for the portion size), and it had sliced avocado on top too. I also got the linguini with seafood, which had 4 clams, 2 shrimp, some scallops, and several fish pieces. Found a few fish bones, but nothing that wasn't able to be picked out. I wish they gave a bit more pasta since there's a good amount of sauce that can be soaked up (though they do provide some bread for this dish). This dish was also wrapped up very nicely (plastic wrap around the takeout container to avoid leakage).Staff was quick to help me and find my takeout order when I arrived. Parking was fairly easy in the big shared lot with Safeway and other stores. All in all, affordable and tasty seafood, would come back to eat in person, as it looks like they have happy hour deals and some drink options too!

It's pretty dim inside (supposed to be romantic lighting I guess). Not very crowded around 7 pm on a Wednesday. The appetizer of La Pesca Ceviche has a much stronger lime taste than ones I've had elsewhere. All the white fish pieces were still pretty much attached (not cut into pieces fully) so it wasn't easy to fish out the pieces with just the tortilla chips, but tasted pretty good overall.Blackened mahi mahi is incredibly umami with whatever spices they use. Seared ahi tuna looked like a medium rare steak and had a similar texture difference when comparing the inside vs. outside (although softer overall since it's fish). Both the chimichurri and caper lemon butter sauce go really well with the fish. The rice pilaf is a little plain though, and some of the grains would stick together (which is not what rice pilaf is supposed to be).The pasta primavera (vegetarian) is creamy and smooth without the thick cream in the white wine sauce being overpowering at all. Perfect saltiness too! They have some kind of icebox cake (Carlotta) that's on the website menu but not on the physical menu. We'll have to try that next time!

I was in the area and looking for a nice seafood restaurant for lunch. Judging by photos and reviews, I decided La Pesca Blue would be a good choice. I went in on a Saturday at 12:45 for lunch, there was 1 other customer dining there. The waitress was very nice, and attentive as well. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands before the meal, and it was spotless. So far so good, right? I ordered a calamari fritti for an appetizer, and Mahi Mahi with mixed vegetables, and mashed potatoes for a main course. My wife ordered a cheesesteak and fries. The calamari came out first, and it was an epic disappointment. Tons of grease, no bite, mushy. There was even a random fried mussel in there, and I could tell the oil had not been changed in a long time. I was worried about the main courses that were coming. Thankfully, they weren't as bad as the calamari. The fish was a little on the dry side, and the vegetables were bland and flavorless, but at least they were edible. My wife made the right choice, the cheesesteak was a lot better than what I had ordered. The meal came out to $65 and some change, which I think was overpriced for the quality of food served. 2 hours later, my stomach hurt and I made 6 seperate trips to the bathroom at home. Let's just say these trips were not like going to Disneyland, and more akin to a day at raging waters, you get what I'm saying? Yeah, I'm never going back to La Pesca Blue again.
