Tried this place out on a Sunday night, it was very busy. We were estimated a 30 minute wait, but were seated in about five minutes. We were greeted with chips, salsa, and beans, which were delicious. We decided to share their Carne Asada and added shrimp. Everything was delicious and it was the perfect amount for two of us. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. My only complaint is that the menu states that adding shrimp is five dollars. However, we were charged eight dollars. It is a very loud restaurant with loud music and a lot of people celebrating. Definitely perfect for birthdays. The restaurant is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. Everything was delicious, definitely recommend.

We checked out this spot for a Saturday brunch. The parking in the plaza can be crowded and chaotic but we were able to find parking eventually. Since it was in an area on the corner of Story and King, there happens to be vendors walking around selling random stuff. As soon as you walk out of your car, the vendors will head over and start selling. The restaurant looked beautiful and inviting inside. The decor was amazing. The bar area looks like a great spot to watch football or soccer games. We were seated immediately as we were able to beat the late brunch crowd. Complimentary chips with bean dip and salsa was a nice touch. I ordered a pozole and it was flavorful and authentic as it was served with fried tortillas and a side of minced onions, lime, and cilantro. Unfortunately it was scorching temperature hot, so it took awhile to cool down but nonetheless I enjoyed it. The wifey ordered birria with flour tortillas. The birria meat was delicious. There was so much birria that we were able to take the leftovers home to make birria enchiladas later for dinner. Lol. She also ordered the Pineapple Express that came out of a bronze pineapple cup with smokey dry ice for presentation. That cocktail was sweet. Our service was friendly and efficient. The manager/owner did check on our table and asked us in Spanish if everything was ok. We happen to be in the area because our son had golf lessons down the street at Rancho del Pueblo golf course. I expect us to be back to try other menu items during future golf lessons. Btw I grew up in East Side San Jose, so it's nice to see restaurants flourish and represent in the area.

We made reservations for our gf birthdays 2 weeks in advance for 7pm on a Sat night, 19 people. We were seated closer to 8pm so that was way passed our reservation time. The atmosphere and vibe was litty so perfect for our ratchet girls bdays haha! Loved the bad bunny guy giving shots and shaking our head, made it fun for us especially since it was all our first time here! I follow them on IG and had to recommend to come here after seeing all their posts. The food was pretty good, the seafood was fresh! Thr oysters were my fav! The food portion is big and good for sharing. The tomahawk was juicy and we enjoyed the tableside fire show. The music was on point with hip hop and Bad bunny music. The seats were comfy. The bathroom can use some updating. The service was over good, but sometimes a miss due to the limited English as we are Asians. I took off 2 stars because:1. We ordered VSOP but we got regular henny lol. I kept telling them this is not VSOP but they said that's all they had. At that point we just wanted to drink so we just took it, but FYI: VSOP was not Privilege, and it is regular henny.2. I was over charged $64 on my card even though tip was already included. I did get that refund back but it shouldn't have happened in the first place as the receipt clearing states: $2040. But I was charged $2104 assuming it was a genuine mistake...3. The place was pretty bright but every timeBad bunny came out, they would dim the lights. They should just leave the lights dimmed the whole time cause every time they turn on the lights, we would get thrown off lol! Overall it was a fun place to celebrate with friends! We would go back but I would double check my credit card charge right away next time... Thanks!

It was the first time my husband and I visited the restaurant. I had seen videos of the food and the shows from their Instagram. I had high expectations, so we waited for a special occasion to go. With valentine weekend being around the corner at the time i thought this would be the perfect time. First of all, it was a bad idea not to make a reservation since the place gets quite full and there is a waiting list. That was on us we didn't know we could make reservations as well. We managed to get in after about an hour wait. I would have liked to have a table in front, but i knew not to get my hopes up at least we were in. We got one of the tables at the back of the restaurant, which was nicely decorated i might add, With a nice bar! The restaurant is clean and the food is really good! Unfortunately the only downside or negative part of our experience was the waitress who served us, her name was Alejandra. Since it was our first time there, we didn't know much about the menu. I didn't ask to many questions because as she stood there she was basically mean mugging and rushing us, as if she were in a hurry to be done with us. I understand that they are busy and that there are a lot of customers, but you can be a bit more respectful and patient and just be kind when taking orders. Two stars because the restaurant was great and I hope to return with a reservation or a little earlier.. hopefully we have someone else serve us. I will gladly leave another review after my second visit.

DEFINITELY IMPRESSED. WHO knew something so trendy and cool was right here hiding in the Tropicana? Someone was gate keeping this one for sure. lol. I learned about this restaurant through a fun Instagram Reel from their IG page. My friend and I were inspired, we HAD to check it out! lol. Highly recommend. This restaurant is so interesting, lively, creative, fun, and they have an extensive menu with sooo many different options! The restaurant is decorated with so many super cool Latino cultural art pieces and they also have a really cute bar section in the back to watch sports.I noticed that there was no English menu available on their Yelp page so I got you guys! English menu uploaded now. lol. I love how they have so many different creative drinks and food dishes available. I was immediately drawn to the Pineapple Express for the visual appeal and it was definitely delicious! I also immediately was drawn to the Pulpo a la Parrilla (aka Grilled Octopus) because I haven't had octopus since I was in Puerto Vallarta last year.I love how they start you off with complimentary chips, salsa, and beans in true Latino fashion. I ordered the Pulpo a la Parrilla and I loved it. The octopus they give you is HUGE, cooked to perfection, and very tasty. Not overdone at all. They pair it with asparagus, cherry tomatoes, and potato wedges that are in a hidden compartment of the dish, very cool! I love the vegetable combo but I don't understand the potato wedge addition. I think it would be better over rice or with more vegetables to be honest. Either way I highly recommend this dish if you love octopus but it definitely is a bit EXPENSIVE. As long as you have the money enjoy! lol. My friend got a Mango Passionfruit mocktail that our waitress Monica recommended and she loved it. She also got the Ceviche Tradicional (camerones/shrimp) and the plate was huge! She said it was very delicious. For dessert we got the Tres Leches con Churros. OMG! LOVE IT. It's so delicious and very filling. Save room for this dessert, trust me.I really love how they play trendy, popular Latino hits while you're there it gives a very lively experience. It felt like a FRIDAY night on a Sunday afternoon. lol. ALSO THIS IS THE PERFECT PLACE FOR BIRTHDAYS! They do these SUPER funny Bad Bunny and Karol G birthday dances and they have the flashing lights like in the night clubs too. It's sooo funny and it's a vibe! lol. It makes you feel like you're in a night club. lol. Also PRO TIP they have LIVE Mariachis come to perform on certain days at certain times! VERY COOL. We literally just missed the Mariachi when we left at 5ish. The band came in at 6pm. My friend was sad we missed them lol.Our server Monica was a very nice lady. She was patient and checked on us regularly. I really wish I would've taken more photos of the decor inside but we were super focused on our conversation so I forgot, sorry! lol. One small thing I will say if you want to have a business meeting or a date where you can talk this isn't the place. lol. My friend and I were catching up on two years of missed time and our conversations got interrupted with the Bad Bunny dances like 8/10 times. LOL. Not mad, just saying! lol. It's funny either way but I took one star off because the dances kept interrupting our conversation. You can't hear or say anything for like one whole minute. LOL. It would make sense to do them all at scheduled times, wouldn't it? &Maybe do them all at once? Not mad we just had a lot to talk about. lol. Also I've had Octopus in other places at less than $40 so I feel like $55 is a bit overpriced tbh. But I love this dish and I would recommend it and also I would get it again but maybe ask for vegetables instead of potato wedges. :) Either way highly recommend! This place is perfect for a fun lunch or a fun friends dinner. It gives you a "weekend party night out" vibe for sure. lol. Also I saw a promotion that says they have 50% off of cocktails for women on Thursdays! Ask to make sure, I'm not sure if they still have it. Also another promotion for free coffee during weekday brunch time with telenovelas to watch. :)

We came on a saturday night and it was packed. I would definitely recommend a reservation. Even with our reservation, we still had to wait about 15 minutes. The vibes here are immaculate. There's screens, nice decorations, and loud music. The music definitely gets the party mood going and everyone gets hyped up. I wouldn't come here if you're looking for a nice conversation because the restaurant is really loud. My drink tasted kind of smoky which I was not a fan of. The creamy corn was a good dip. Nice and cheesy. I wasn't a fan of the sushi as the rice was kind of hard. The mixed molcajete was also very good. My favorite meal was the skirt steak tacos. The tortillas had melted cheese which made them nice and fluffy. It was also mixed with a juicy steak which made a great pair.

Consider making reservations, it seems this spot is popular! We decided to do a galantines here due to its popularity on social media. Upon arriving I was a little disappointed at their inability to accommodate my friend who is in a wheelchair. The host for some reason thought it was a good idea to give us a booth instead of a table where the chair can easily be moved to be wheelchair accessible. The table was available so I asked to be moved to better accommodate my friend. The host agreed and said they would move us over once they wiped it down. It took me asking two other times in order to finally get moved. Once we were seated at a better suited table I felt the service was very rushed. They do bring the food out very quickly and all together so consider skipping appetizers. The food was just ok. The queso fundido was cold and tough (not creamy and uneasy to eat). The food lacked flavor, though aesthetically pleasing. The only item I would say was good would be the flan. The vibe is definitely there. Music is bumpin' (a little much for those who get over stimulated) with a lounge/club feel. They even have a photographer walking around taking photos. You can buy one for $20 each (comes with a frame). I would say skip the food, go for the drinks and ambiance.

Food was delicious! 100% recommend the carne asada, the service was excellent. Our waiter Jorge did a great job checking in with us that our food was okay and we didn't need anything else. Always had a smile and great attitude when we had questions about the menu. If you are looking for a place to feel welcomed and have good drinks and food, visit La Mas Querida!
