a fun benihana style restaurant, where a chef cooks your meal at the table/grill. each table seats 8. our table had 3 parties at it, a group of 4, and two groups of 2. dishes include grilled seafood, grilled chicken, grilled beef, or a combo of meat and seafood. i don't remember if there are veggie only options. fried rice is an add on for $3 vs steamed rice. the restaurant is also connected to a bar area which we hung out in while we waited for our table. later there was a karaoke set up there too!i ordered a seasonal cocktail called "heffalumps and woozles" (winnie the pooh reference) which was sweet and delicious. i'm sad that it'll probably be out of season by the time i return, but i look forward to seeing what other seasonal cocktails are featured. highly recommend reserving your spot before time to avoid a long wait time, or going on a weeknight. our waiter and chef were charismatic and full of jokes that were prob scripted but still appreciated as part of the experience. loved the themed decorations (painted ceiling tiles) and the fun ambience. well over $100 for two people (including drinks, added fried rice, and appetizers).we went to celebrate a promotion and i look forward to returning.

Went here with my best friend on Saturday. We had forgotten to get reservations so we opted to sit at the bar for a drink and apps in the case we might be able to get into a Teppanyaki table. We only waited about 20-25 minutes before the very kind hostess said she had room for us at a table. To say that teppanyaki is my favorite is an understatement. If I could eat that fried rice all the time I would! We had 2 people take EXCELLENT care of us. Aryella and Justin were great. They kept our water refilled, kept checking in to see if we needed anything else. They even made sure to remember that we wanted extra rice to go! We ordered the Lobster with fried rice and the shrimp with fried rice. That garlic butter they make in house is to die for. And both were cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. Another thing I saw the chef do was for others at the table about half the table was ovo-vegetarian (which essentially means they can eat eggs, cheese etc but still no meat.) And they had never done a teppanyaki experience either! They made 2 different batches of fried rice for the table and made all the vegetarian stuff first. Then they made the rest of the meat etc for the rest of the table. It was very busy but the chef and Aryella and Justin made sure that it was an exceptional experience for all.

Apparently this teppanyaki place has been here forever, can't believe this is the first time I'm trying it!First, finding the place was a challenge. It's on the second floor and took me a while to figure out and orient myself on the map. I was hoping I could follow the yummy food smell ;)My friend and I both ordered the lobster/scallop/filet mignon combo meal with chicken fried rice add-on. They were very efficient, we had a reservation and were seated right away with full service. The chef and food material came out very quickly too.We got the fried rice first, which is unusual. All the food came out well prepared, my medium-rare steak was cooked perfectly. Scallops are also very nice, I know it's very easy to overcook that. My only small complaint is some of the dishes were a little salty for my liking. They also put a LOT of butter. I know butter makes things taste better, but my fried rice was swimming in butter a little, which is unnecessary.Overall a satisfying meal! I had enough leftover for dinner. It is not cheap but you definitely pay for the quality and service. Will come back if I have teppanyaki cravings in this area again!

Dinner and a "show" is always fun, came here to celebrate two friends' birthdays. We made a reservation because I'm well aware of how packed this place gets! We were seating right away. Unless your party is big enough to fill the table (I think it's 10 seats) you'll get seated with another party but that's part of the fun. I ordered the Imperial Special which is NY steak and scallops. When you order the Teppanyaki you also get soup, salad, 3 shrimp, choice of steam rice or chicken fried rice (go with the fried!) vegetable and ice cream at the end. You also get 2 sauces for dipping. The chef coming to cool your food is the main attraction, super flashy and interactive. The food was delicious, my scallops were cook perfectly and so was my steak! Will definitely come again to try more combos and some of their starters as they have a lot to choose from!

Loved our food there. We didn't do the grilling so we went to the other Side where there were tvs and person making sushi and the bar was there. We got a steak dish and California roll and they were sooo good. My husband loved it and wants to go there again soon. Our side was pretty empty but that was ok. We weren't hungry enough for the teppanyaki side. The steak plate was so big so we had to take the leftovers home. You need to go over to the other side to get your own water which was kinda odd but whatever I guess lol.It was nice there. Definitely would come again b/c the food was so tasty. I wanna try the grilling side one day. One of the hostesses was kinda rude b/c I wasn't answering her questions fast enough she raised her voice at us. Instead of spending 0.5 seconds to respond, I spent like 3 seconds and that was not fast enough for her b/c I honestly didn't understand what she was saying at first. Did not like that but the food was good so...

Usually we go for birthday celebrations but since it felt like I long week I needed a fun dinner. Came with my husband and toddler for an early dinner. Was able to make reservations the day before with no problems. We actually got there a few minutes early and just waited at the bar area. I was excited to try the fall/holiday drinks. I got the death becomes her, if you like cranberries this one is for you. My husband got the from dusk till dawn. It was sweet yet had a savory surprise. He enjoyed it. Our meals were great except they forgot to bring my husband's add on scallops, he was disappointed about that. They took it off our bill thankfully. It's always a fun experience here and will probably come back soon.

I went last night with a good size group (10 guests) to celebrate my sister getting married. I've been a few times and I have to say, I'm not entirely impressed. We had a reservation. The chef's aren't as talented or engaging as other restaurants of this style I've been too. The food seemed too expensive for the quality. Our waitress was amazing and brought out a complementary dessert for the newlyweds. I'm happy my sister was happy but my little family will continue to go to Benihana's instead

Been here on multiple occasions, mainly birthday parties and it's an amazing Teppanyaki place. The food was actually so flavorful and even if the chef isn't doing a lot of crowd work, their waiters and staff are all so sweet and attentive no matter how busy it gets. I ended up writing this review now though because I found out they do take out and it was just as good as it is dining in. AND portions are AMAZING.

I hadn't been to Kyoto's for years (decades), and I am so glad we finally made it back! We were there celebrating my birthday (reservations were easily made), and it was a fun way to celebrate on a Monday night. My group met in the bar; the bartender and the holiday drinks were great. We will be returning for happy hour for sure. Our group was large enough to enjoy a table of our own. The chef was fun and entertaining, the food was delicious, and the portions were generous. The soup, salad, rice, shrimp, scallops, and calamari are delicious. My husband had the steak and chicken and said they were cooked perfectly and flavorful. We also enjoyed the ice cream and the birthday cheesecake. We all took containers of food home, and hubby and I enjoyed the leftover steak, chick, and veggies mixed with eggs in burritos for two days! We have also loved the rice for dinner these last couple of nights.Thank you Kyoto, for a wonderful birthday celebration.

Don't come here for the foods especially the sushi... it is below average low quality, just comes for happy hour for the cocktails. The restaurant is located upstairs on top on anexican restaurant. I came here on Thursday night on the bar area. The Mai tai and other cocktails were good, not in terms of strong alcohol favors but very fruity not too sweet. The happy hour menu was limited just mostly sushi and appetizers but it is not good. The fishes was low quality and not fresh. There was only one server on the bar area so she was busy all time. It other side which looks more busy than the bar area but I don't trust the quality of foods serves in here.
