Have always loved Ike's. Disappointed at the sogginess on my sandwich and very disappointed at the quality of the onion rings and poppers on my King Kunta. I hope they make the fried sides better.

Solid sandwich spot in Redwood City located right along the intersection of Broadway and El Camino! They do have a parking lot but it's super small, probably only enough space for five cars. They have a couple of tables to sit at inside, all with barstool seating. The menu was extensive, but didn't seem to be as varied as the other Ike's location I went to. I'm interested to see how the menu changes across locations. Ordered the Hot Mama and got a bag of chips for checking in on Yelp. The sandwich was ready in around 10 minutes and was sizable. The chicken tasted like a rotisserie chicken from Costco (in other words, quality) and the Frank's Red Hot added some good spice while keeping the chicken from being too dry. However, when the Frank's ran out, the sandwich was a little bland. This is no way affected my rating, but they had an older digital POS system (it only takes card, no Apple Pay) that was a little hard to use; the cashier had to show me how to swipe my card through it. I thought this was kinda cool, cause I mainly see businesses using Toast, Clover, or Square terminals. For the amount of food you get for the price (around $13) and the quality of the meat, Ike's is definitely worth stopping by.

Sandwiches are well made and tasty, but took a while to be made. It's more the logistics of getting to that part of the experience, as the parking lot only as a half dozen spaces, most of which are taken up by employees or delivery vans, or people illegally parked, and then trying to reverse onto Broadway.During the summer, the fans are running and they do not pick up the phone for phone orders because they can't hear it ring. The only employees there on a Thursday seem to be a husband and wife team, and their baby was crying in the back (not sure if there were other children there), while they were working.

Walked in and out. It's filthy, no greeting and not like any of the Ike's I have been too.

Whenever I come here they always listen to what I can't have specifically, allergies, and are so nice about it! I love this location! The parking sucks but it's definitely worth the short walk!!

Amazing sandwich chain. So many fun combinations. I love the Dutch crunch here! I recommend ordering to go. It's fun that they give you lollipops with each order at all. They're pretty quick too!

Ike's used to be my go-to happy place for distinctive, satisfying sandwiches for the longest time. In the days that the closest Ike's was hidden in the back of the Oracle campus in Redwood Shores before moving to downtown, I would make the trip every chance I could. I would pour over the menu trying to decide between an all-time favorite and something new.Fast forward to yesterday. found the shop to be rather dead at lunch time. It could just be because Sequoia High School has moved to a closed campus for lunch. The guy taking my order and the one making the sandwiches seemed out of their element like in one of those movies where they kidnap the owner and pretend to be working there when law enforcement shows up.Anyway, sandwich (a Barry Bonds on whole wheat with everything) was very meh. Didn't they used to toast their rolls? Nothing really distinctive or special. Has their time passed? Time to move on for a new favorite sammy shop?

Delicious. I know it's just a sandwich. We ordered three of them. They were all delicious. And on top of that, they have Halal options. My daughter says they've always had them and everybody knows that. However, I'm putting it out there again for those of us who don't know that.I don't know the name of the gentleman that served us, but he was great. Efficient. Very polite. And attentive.
