Taste: 5Creativity/Authenticity: 5Atmosphere: 4Service: 5Bang for your buck: 4So I've been searching for the best burger In Los Angeles, and I found it but they closed down after Covid and it's never been the same until I came here!! So the spot I was talking about was called "hole in the wall burger" in Weho than Santa Monica, hands down the best until they closed but worry no more unless you live in LA cause now you gotta drive to South SF to have one of the best burgers and fries def fries I have ever had!! They even make their own sauces just like "HITW". So this spots in a dive bar but don't be fooled, they are pushing out RN the best burger I've had in SF. Thank you for the experience and keep up the amazing food go support these guys if you don't already!!

Kind of a random little place. It's really not obvious that it's a restaurant because it's basically a bar that serves food, but the bar has a different name than the restaurant. It's a little confusing, but our burgers were delicious. We had a firefighter chicken sandwich and the Sunday morning burger because... Tater tots.I'd recommend but not for some fancy date night out.

I have been here twice to pick up to-go orders. The first time, the bar was empty and I was serviced by a man. He gave me napkins upon request for my two sandwiches and there wasn't much customer service interaction. The second time was recently and I was serviced by a young woman. She followed my typed instructions and everything was neatly wrapped. I did not get any napkins this time but the bar did have a couple of patrons drinking. Even so, she greeted me with a smile and I received my order smoothly. The pick up is located near the back, past the bar, so they are serious about you being 21 yrs old and over to enter. Keep that in mind if you try to send your child down to pick up.I ordered the GEM on dutch crunch and it was delicious. The loaves were fresh and the meat was not overly salty. I did add on lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. It was just the right amount of onions but I felt they could have added more lettuce and tomatoes to balance out the meat. They pre-cut the sandwich in half for you before serving, which I appreciate because I can never finish the entire thing in one sitting. Great value for what you get. Will be back here again.

This hidden spot is an absolute gem! I've been coming here for years! The sandwiches and food are fantastic. It's not fancy, but they do everything really well. I'll say it Little Lucca's is overrated. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming. Since it's located inside a bar, there are drink options available too. Their chicken wings are great, but the real standout is the "Hills" sandwich--shredded chicken pesto perfection. It's definitely S-tier, and I can usually get two meals out of it. This place is absolutely worth it. Parking options include a few public lots nearby, but street parking is very limited during peak hours.

The Hidden Spot is definitely a hidden gem in the heart of South San Francisco! The restaurant is technically located within the Hometown Heroes Bar right on Grand Ave. The space itself is pretty small, but deep, and can hold a good amount of people. There is a bar with around a dozen seats. There are three tables across from the bar that can fit four each, and another three tables and additional spots to sit in the back behind the pool table. This is definitely a sports bar vibe, but clean. It's open, well lit, and there is a bunch of cool music-themed art inside. As noted, there is a pool table that is often available, and TV's along the bar and in the back. They have the ability to play different things on different TVs, so it was nice to see some variety when we arrived (baseball, soccer, e-sports). We had asked them to put on the Giants game in the back where we were sitting, and they happily changed it for us. The food is the real reason we came! We had heard about this spot via Yelp, and ordered food for delivery a few times during the pandemic. The food was always good, but never fresh. We finally decided to try it IRL last year to get the full, fresh experience. It was SO good, we had to bring a friend back just recently when we had the opportunity. They feature highly elevated bar food. Think burgers, sandwiches, wings, fries, etc. The Burgers are Wagyu, the sandwiches are THICC, the wings are huge and crispy, and the fries are seasoned. Some of the things we've had:The Sheriff (Burger - Cheddar Cheese, Beer Battered Onion Rings, Grilled Onions, BBQ Sauce, Mayonnaise, $17) - This is a huge and delicious burger! We added bacon, which is the move. The onion rings are crispy and delicious! Super juicy and packed with flavor. Past (Sandwich - Certified Angus Beef Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, Coleslaw, Hidden Sauce, Honey Mustard, MK Sauce, $15) - Got this on Dutch Crunch and loved it! Such a flavorful sandwich with all the sauces! MVP (Wings - Sweet & Spicy Soy Glaze and Topped with Green Onions, 5 for $10 or 10 for $18). These are some of the best wings I've had in a long time. They are huge, meaty, and flavorful. The MVP sauce is one of my favorites, anywhere. I love dipping wings in ranch, but this sauce is so good I usually just eat it straight. Honey Garlic Butter (Wings, Topped with Sesame Seeds) - Another winner. The flavor on these is insanely good, definitely recommend! Beer Battered Onion Rings (SM $8, LG $10) - These are crispy, fresh and delicious. There is a perfect ratio of batter; not too much, and not too onion-y. They pair well dipped in any of their sauces! Seasoned Fries (SM $7, LG $9) - Some of the best seasoned fries I've had. Perfect size, perfect crispiness, and so much flavor in the seasoning. Again, pairs well with any of their sauces!Sauces - There are 12+ house made sauces. They have the basics like ranch, blue cheese, BBQ, buffalo, but also various aiolis, spicy ranch, Hidden Sauce, MK Sauce and more. My only complaint is that the serving is a little small for $1/each; I have to spend $15-$20 just on sides of sauce!Overall we've enjoyed both experiences eating at Hidden Spot in Hometown Heroes. The food is soo good, and definitely tastes better when you eat it fresh, rather than ordering delivery. Thanks to all the hardworking staff, but a special shoutout to Erick who enhanced our experience. He was particularly friendly, helpful, and generally awesome!Already looking forward to my next meal at Hidden Spot! Check the reel on IG: @bbnem.eats

Came here for snacks and drinks before a night out. Definitely a dive bar vibe with people playing pool. My cousins and I sat on the high table. I think it's funny that you order food by the literal kitchen while you order drinks at the bar like normal. The walls were decorated in 2010s swag-era photos. We got a large seasoned fries and ten pieces of wings. For wings, we got spicy buffalo and honey garlic butter. The fries were crispy and tasted good. They were medium-sized. For the wings, they were quite big! I like to eat my wings while wearing gloves so my hands don't get messy; I went to the kitchen to ask for some, and they look a bit amused. The flavors that we got balanced each other out. The sweetness of the honey garlic butter wings was tasty, and the spicy buffalo had a good kick.We washed these down with beers. Overall great food!

Definitely a "hidden spot" but the sandwiches were huge and so delicious. It was a quick stop while waiting for someone arriving at SFO. Would definitely recommend.

A little hard to find as the name suggests. The sign is in the bar as you walk up to the bar door you'll see it hanging from the bar. The order window is in the back near the pool table. The place was pretty full but not by a lot. The food was great. Really tasty and a big portion. TVs and people hanging out. Really relaxed environment.
