Went with friends who wanted the thali experience. I have to say they do pretty ok for a place that serves a Rajasthani thali even on weeknights. Starting with seating is to bringing water and a basin to wash hands. Handing out traditional hats to wear, and explaining how to eat the items in the thali, the staff was more than efficient and courteous. We had a gold thali which started with an appetizer and then came the platter with lots of bowls of different foods. It's an unlimited thali so you can ask for any and all items refilled which they do gladly and generously. I found it difficult to finish what was on the platter so did not get any refills. The flavors in the thali were good and we were happy with the service too. What we found almost unbearable was the fact that there seems to be no heating in this place. The staff said the heater had been turned on but in the 90 mins I was sitting there my sinuses started hurting from the extreme cold. I also heard the family on the next tablecomplaining about the cold. Can management look into this? As much as the experience of eating a Rajasthani thali is a pleasant one, sitting in a chilled room on a cold night isn't. The only time I visit this place, if at all will be in summer. So while this place deserves all 5 stars, I'm keeping one for the lack of heating.

We got platinum thali. The items were greasy and/or bland. Smell from restroom almost made it impossible to sit in the restaurant. Given how things are, we weren't sure how hygienic would the food preparation be. With that said, their staff were very cordial and welcoming. That is the only plus.

*Vegetarian Foodie Review*I'm obsessed with this place! I visited last weekend and the food was truly amazing. What sets them apart is the homemade taste and simplicity of their dishes. No greasy, oily textures or overpowering masalas here!I always order the thali, and it's the perfect balance of flavors and portion size. I feel full, but never bloated. The Gatte ki sabzi is my absolute favorite - it's heavenly! This place is a paradise for vegetarians, offering wholesome and authentic Indian thali meals. Plus, parking is easy to find, and it's located in a vibrant Indian street food complex with plenty of other options. The ambiance is fantastic, with a cozy Rajasthani vibe. They even offer traditional Pagris (Rajasthani turbans) to wear, adding to the cultural experience! And the best part? It's super kid-friendly! My 4-year-old loves sharing a thali with us, and the staff is always welcoming and accommodating.Service is always super fast and friendly. We love combining our meal with grocery shopping in the complex afterwards. Can't wait to come back and indulge in another delicious thali!

My goto place for when I would like to try Dal Baati Churma. I have only tried their thali before and enjoyed it. This time we were a big group and they accommodated us on a busy weekday evening. We ordered many different things and surprised that their other part of the menu tasted amazing too on top of their Rajasthani specials. Dabeli was the yummiest. The kids ordered maggi, we initially hesitated about the kids choice, but was pleasantly surprised that maggi noodles can be made so well just like hakka noodles.

Garam mirchi is a fun experience, with a photo wall outside, getting to wear traditional Rajasthani (style from Rajasthan, a state in India), and a hand washing experience prior to the meal. The unlimited thali is delicious and sure to fill appetites of any size. The servers are quite attentive and ready to provide any refills or serve additional food or drink as needed.

If you're looking for a dining experience that's as much about the fun as it is the food, this place is an absolute must-try! From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. The servers greeted us with a warm smile and a touch of flair--literally! They bring out this elegant, almost ceremonial pot to wash your hands at the table because you'll be eating the traditional way--with your hands! Trust me, it adds a whole new level of connection to the meal. Now, let's talk about the Thali. It's legendary, and for good reason. The ambiance totally sets the mood, with vibrant Indian decor and even these quirky, colorful hats they offer you to wear while you eat. Naturally, we embraced it--because why not go all in? The servers don't just bring you food; they guide you through the experience, explaining how to enjoy the Thali the right way. For instance, there's this doughnut-shaped savory delight (hello, baati!) that you're supposed to break apart and dip into the curries and daals. And let me tell you, it's a flavor explosion!Oh, and did I mention? Everything is unlimited! Yes, you read that right--bottomless curries, rotis, sweets and anything you want. My friend and I went all out with the Platinum Thali, which comes with bonus sweets, extra appetizers, and rotis. It felt like a royal feast, and every bite was absolutely delicious. From spicy to sweet, there's something for every palate.Overall, the food was divine, but it's the experience that truly makes this place shine. It's not just a meal--it's an adventure.

It's been long enough I can write another review. Yay!! When I was seated, a gentleman came by with a pitcher of warm water and a bowl for me wash my hands. The restaurant is now much more established and feels like a spot that has always been there. Each time I come by, the place is bustling with all types of customers from couples on dates, to college kids to big families looking to grab a hearty bite to eat. The vibe of the restaurant is vibrant and lively. That alone just puts you in a good mood and ready to enjoy your meal. The food comes out before you can even blink!! It was fast the first time and it's like they got even faster in the kitchen since then. The servers really make you feel at home, which means a lot to me since I definitely do not look like the rest of the clientele here. Nevertheless, I'm always greeted with kindness and enthusiasm when I visit.I love that everything here is vegetarian so I don't have to worry. I just close my eyes and pick something. So long as there's no cream or paneer, I'm good!I highly recommend coming here with a group because it's just such a lively atmosphere and would be more fun with lots of people.

Nice interior and vibe. Great location surrounded by a ton of other Indian shops. Loved the spice level in the food. The schezuan momos were the highlight- almost finished them myself. Gobi Manchurian was a solid item, and the fried rice was ok- honestly felt a bit plain. If I came back, I would go for a thali definitely seems like the most popular option here.

After seeing all the hype on Instagram about Garam Mirchi offering the "best Rajasthani experience," I was eager to visit and try their authentic cuisine. Unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to the expectations set by social media. We opted for the thali for two, hoping to get a comprehensive taste of their Rajasthani offerings. However, we were somewhat disappointed. The baati was quite dry, and the gatta sabji lacked the robust flavors that one would expect from a traditional Rajasthani dish. It seemed like more attention was given to creating a theatrical experience rather than focusing on the quality of the food itself.Overall, the restaurant feels like it's trying to make a statement with its presentation and ambiance, but it could benefit from honing in on the authenticity and flavor of its dishes. Less focus on the theatrics and more on the quality of the food would make a world of difference.
