Wow!! Opens at 11am and I was the fourth in line at 11:10am. I could sit there and ask them a million questions..What are the people behind the cashier doing? What's that? How'd you do that? Love that you watch everything. Jerusalem Plate with Rice $15. LOADED. I want to eat in my car, nope! Food is all over the place Falafel is $.78 each. Ordered 3, but got 4! So good. (I rarely like falafel from places)

Falafel Stop is a cute local joint right on Fremont Road right next to Fremont High School in Sunnyvale. Falafel Stop is an open air and fast food type restaraunt that serves quality food.I got the Israeli salad, some falafels, and a Jerusalem chicken hummus bowl. The food was amazingly fresh and it did not disappoint. The hummus bowl was amazing as the hummus and all the veggies complemented each other perfectly with the creamy hummus and the slightly acidic pickles and tomatoes. The chicken itself was jaw droppingly tender and it was seasoned perfectly. If you don't want Jerusalem chicken they have plenty of meat options. The falafels were a great vegetarian alternative that were almost as good as the chicken. They were crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. Also keep in mind that most main dishes come with pita. Lastly the Israeli salad was somewhat disappointing. It had WAY too many onions and the dressings while refreshing didn't bode well with me or my stomach.OVERALL, Falafel stop for its prime location, delicious food, fast services, and affordability should be on your Sunnyvale bucket list for restaurants. I will definitely be coming again!

Tried this spot for the first time and came on Friday night around 7:30 pm and it was busy and they had already run out of rice! I decided to go for a plate with a salad base instead and with chicken shawarma. Once they have the plate ready, they call you to the other side of their restaurant where you can pick all your fixings, I got everything :)The food was 11/10 so good. The chicken was so flavorful and they gave a decent portion of it. All the fixings were so yummy too. They have a great variety of toppings like hummus, different finely chopped salads, beets, diced pickles, tahini, cucumber/tomato mix, etc etc (can't remember all of them bc there were so many!). The plate also came with a fresh warm pita which was amazing as well. The multitude of toppings make each bite unique and the flavors mingle well together. I honestly didn't even miss the fact that there was no rice in the meal, I'd get it with a salad base next time too! Seating is in this outdoor but shaded area and it can be a little hard to find a table when it's peak hour.Wish this spot was closer to me but I'll definitely be back soon

Falafel Stop is one of my favorite places to get lunch. I absolutely love the sabich pita, and have yet to find anywhere else in the area that has it on the menu. Vegetarian food is in a separate line from the meat options, take your ticket to the correct line after paying at the register. The pita is so deliciously fluffy and all of the veggie additions on top are lovely. Staff are speedy but accommodating and will customize your meal. So filling. Highly recommend!

Ordered the chicken kabob for the first time. Tasted good. But I might stick to the shawarma in the future. Also ordered a side of majadra, tasted good! The falafel salad now comes with a puffy potato fry. It is very similar in taste to the Indian potato fritters. It tasted yummy! Another new item we saw was the sufganiyot. Probably Hanukkah special. Yummy gooey chocolaty donut! We enjoyed the fun meal!

7 years later and not much has changed and something's have gotten worse. The last 2 times here they've messed up my order and the wait was again insane late in the evening. There weren't too many people ordering either so it's just weird they take so long. 1 star because of unhygienic and dangerous food handling. Messed up my order so one of their workers came up to us with a bag of 3 falafels to make up for it(Yes, 3 tiny ones) The big food safety issue was he had just taken the trash out and used the same gloves to bring us the falafels, and then went back to clearing the trash again. Dumped them in their trash bin on the way out. Gross that they had this person deliver the food.

This was my first time at Falalfel Stop. I had had it bookmarked for a while and was going to be in the area around dinner time. I asked the friendly staff member at the cash register what he recommended- and on his recommendation, I ordered the Jerusalem Mix Plate. It was delicious and very flavorful. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the pita -- normally pita is an afterthought or a vehicle for delicious dips or other food. But the texture and flavor on the pita were impressive. This is the most I have enjoyed a pita in a long time! The portions were large- and even after going on a 6 mile hike, I didn't finish all the food. There are picnic tables in an enclosed area to sit and eat your food.
