EWHA Dang Rice Bakery

Best rice cakes in Santa Clara. I especially love the sweet squash rice cake, soft and moist. Best to go early before they run out.

Situated inside a Korean plaza with Kunjip, Ewha was unfortunate to be affected by its neighbor Indian restaurant that they had to do some construction work. It looks like they've been closed since Jan this year with only the electrical license inspected on the 16th of Jan. So don't waste a trip like I did.

We got the Baekil Dduk. It was pretty good. Cant say it was super fresh but it worked. By second day it was pretty hard. Not too sweet though. It was $65 which I thought was pricey for the design they do. Its kind of like a hole in the wall so I figured it wouldn't look amazing but it could be better.I added in my own bow to add some color to it. Owner lady was nice. Wish they had some listed prices in store. But I ordered it several days before and they had it ready

I came by to try the mochi. I ended up purchasing the peanut version ($10k) - this was great because after we finished the mochi I ended up making some additional mochi at home and rolled it in the leftover peanut crumbs! It's a very small shop with odd hours so I think they might close whenever they sell out. They are cash only as well!

My favorite Korean rice cake bakery in the south bay.Great quality and flavor. Their duk gets sold out quickly that I always call in advance to secure one.

I went to EWHA Dang Rice Bakery in the morning and my mother went in the afternoon on the same day. We bought the same rice cake unknowingly. It is delicious.

Such good Korean rice cakes. High quality, good ingredients. Pricey compared to what you get at the markets, but the quality and taste makes up for it. This is where we go for rice cakes on special occasions and as gifts.

These rice cakes are amaazing. My boyfriend works in Santa Clara so during his lunch break one day, he picked up some rice cake from here for us to try. The rice was soft and sticky. It was covered in a sweet red bean sauce. The flavor was perfect. And it was definitely filling. This made for the perfect dessert. We even finished it for breakfast the next day.

This is the perfect place to go to if you want to gift superb Korean traditional rice cakes. These have been tried and true in my family, and are hands down the best in the Bay Area we've found. They have AMAZING gift box options, and are packaged beautifully and thoughtfully. If you are looking to drop by and pick up some orders on the day of, I'd definitely recommend coming as early as possible, or preordering. This place is well-known and popular items sell out very quickly!The customer service is also incredible, the owner is so experienced and is super cheery. I love any time I get to try more of these authentic delicacies!
