I want to say a few things about this restaurant and it's new owner. Hamid has made so many renovations and improvements!! He is a very kind and humble person and really listens to it's patrons.I went to this years Valentine's dinner with my sister and the food was superb!! It was almost as good as a high end restaurant!! The fillet of Sole melted in my mouth and the Pineapple Crem Broulet is probably the best Crem Broulet I have ever had!!

This is my last review for 2024.Effie's is a restaurant that has been in business for 30 years located at 331 W Hacienda Ave, Campbell, CA 95008. I have eaten here 5 times for breakfast, lunch and dinner and was really impressed with the quality and taste of the food. The prices are fair, service has been excellent thanks to the 3 servers I experienced, Michelle, Dan and Alfonso. Everyone works as a team, including the employees that buss. Although the restaurant has a rustic look to it, it is kept very clean. They have 3 restrooms (1 is ADA) and the restaurant was very nicely decorated for the holiday season (see picture).So why such a poor overall rating? Most of the ratings are over a year old and refer to the bar and Karaoke. A new owner came in July, 2024 and apparently made several positive changes. This review focuses strictly on the restaurant.So what did I like? Everything I tried including omelets (wow), pancakes (my favorite), turkey dinner (excellent stuffing), pasta, vegetables, soups, oysters rockafeller (amazing), chicken wings, and the list goes on and on. Honorable mention to their bakery cakes. Fabulous Desserts!I HIGHLY RECCOMEND Effie's!

We have been eating dinner here for about 11 months and don't sit in the bar or participate in karoake. The cocktails are always very good. The wait staff all remember our special needs which is greatly appreciated. Since the new owner arrived the meals have gotten even better.They have a big doordash customer base and I am not surprised due to the quality and portion size of the meals. If we ordered food to be delivered this restaurant would be our first choice.This place deserves to be busy every night so all their employees can get the hours they need.

An old relic with a throwback vibe. I wasn't expecting much at this place. It looked like a place from generations prior like an American grandmother's house. Despite the decor, the food was really good. I had Effie's special breakfast which was really inventive. A twice baked potato with omelette filling. It was a pretty big plate for $18.The service was excellent. Although I felt bad because the only ppl eating there are older seniors. Please support this place because it deserves a shot!

This place is effie'n awesome!Alright, I'll be honest. The food I got was mediocre at best. While I enjoyed the fresh tomato slices and the dill pickle, the half-pound burger was dry, even after drowning it in condiments, and the bun was so old it "broke". The shoestring fries and onion rings tasted like they came from a generic brand like Great Value, Penny Pinchin, or Super Saver. However, I didn't ask for a replacement or a fix, so I won't deduct any stars for that.The ambiance is strange. One third of it is the lounge, a dark divey bar with a window into the odd restaurant, which reminds me of an old 1970s supper club from Palm Springs, with a splash of off-strip casino: one big unintentionally kitschy room with a loud carpet, white linens, and jade green upholstery. Think gangsters and grandpas. Love it or hate it, it's special.One-third of the place is a lounge, a dark, divey bar with a window looking into the unintentionally kitschy restaurant. The restaurant itself feels like a blend of an old 1970s Palm Springs supper club and an off-strip casino, featuring one giant room with loud carpet, white linens, and jade green upholstery, perfect for gangsters and grandpas. Love it or hate it, the ambiance is special.The five stars are for the service and karaoke. The bar manager, Rachel, was incredibly nice, and Kerrie was fantastic in the bar--very attentive, fun, and generous with the drinks.Metro readers voted Effie's as having the Best Karaoke in Silicon Valley in 2022, which is impressive for such a small, no-frills place. I credit the regulars for making my friends and me feel welcome, the fast pace, and the host Bill, who sings dutifully without much flair, just like someone's dad. He's not attention-starved or aiming for Hollywood stardom.A heads-up: Biil can be a bit like the "No Soup For You" guy from Seinfeld. To request a song, go up to his left ear and say your first name and last initial. Once he types that in, then give him the song title and artist, making sure he can spell it correctly (e.g., "Bawitdaba," "7empest," "Wet A** P****"). If you ask for something unspellable"Sk8er Boi," you might as well just leave. Why'd you have to go and make things so complicated?

May 7, 2024 and we stopped in for a beverage and then dinner. Christy, the dirty vodka martini was great. Robin, sorry it was a slower evening, but it gave us some time to talk and catch up. A sandwich at the bar was a huge mistake. Trailer park politics so disrespectful that it was grade school level and the bartender allowed it to go unchecked. When it turned against the owner of the restaurant the older lady bartender did nothing. She was united with them. Amazing how an employee can show such disrespect to an employer. I hope she owns the place so my money won't be missed.
