Came in on Saturday morning between the crowds. With no other tables taken, we had flexible seat selection. Thankfully we would be ahead of the small group and tables of 2 that would start coming in shortly afterwards. One person came to pick up food. One table of three left after being seated when they heard the wait for food would be 30+mins. One other patron walked in but left shortly afterwards as well. The place is small, eclectic and definitely run by a dynamic duo. The food is prepped and served up fresh with a cafe style presentation. Menu selections include espresso drinks and other stuff like a bagel and cream cheese, breakfast sandwich or burrito with the Filipino style meats as the star. The plates all come with rice and eggs. We each had a plate. One with pork adobo and the other with Filipino style sausage. Both were very good. Super tender and juicy meats with nicely cooked rice with a mild garlic seasoning. Regular coffee is served in to- go cups with self serve condiments at the counter area. I liked that they had honey and cinnamon as options. When asked for a refill of coffee, a new pour was given. We finished everything on our plates. Portions were just right to fill us up. If you don't mind taking a chance on the wait and enjoy something different with good food in a retro feel atmosphere, you would likely appreciate this place. Will I be a return customer? I think so but would possibly order to go to avoid any crowds.

Friendly, family-style, eclectic-decor cafe with Filipino-focused breakfast and lunch menu. First time visiting on a late Saturday morning. There was no wait to self-seat at a table, I could tell they had a regular customer base and lots of to-go orders getting picked up at the counter. First thing we were advised was that the kitchen was slow. Ok. I think that should come with an estimate of how long we would be waiting. It took a reasonable time to place our order. The menu has a variety of egg/rice plates/burritos and lots of meat choices. Unknown if they could accommodate a vegetarian or vegan request. Once our order was placed, we waited about 45 minutes for the food to come to the table. We got our orange juice right away, but we were thirsty again by the time the food arrived. Luckily, there is complimentary water with lemon on the counter to self-serve.The food was mixed, and the pork adobo was tender and flavorful but slightly oversalted. The eggs were ordered over medium, but came hard and cold. The rice was bland-tasting. The other plate had char siu chicken and eggs sunny side up. We are used to the Chinese version of char siu, which is typically grilled, and that's how we make it at home. This came served in an unchared version, which makes me think of sous vide cooking method. I didn't ask, but I would not have been surprised if that is how they cook their meats. The taste was ok, but charring on a grill would take that many notches up the scale. The orange juice was fresh and delicious. Would have preferred to be asked if we wanted it to come out with the food. All in all, happy to support a small local business. They have a loyal customer base, and if I grew up on Filipino food, this would likely be close to home cooking. It was a nice change while in Fremont. The setting is interesting, being in an old converted train depot; parking is tight, but give them a try.Wish them the best!

I found this place because I'm always in search of good Filipino food. I was immediately surprised when I entered because the place was decorated like a 50-60s cafe. Never have I been to a uniquely decorated Filipino spot. It was SO adorable. The service was a little slow, but it was understandable because it was literally just a husband and wife handling everything: the cooking, bussing, hosting, waiting, checking in on the tables... the way they worked together to take care of everyone's needs was amazing. I couldn't get upset with the slightly longer than normal wait. They were working efficiently. Now let's talk about the food-- I have had almost every rice plate here and I must say: 12 out of 10, there's a reason why I keep coming back. The rice? PERFECT. The meat? TENDER. The eggs? COOKED TO PERFECTION. Every time. Consistently. Love this place, I keep coming back and there's a reason for that. Highly recommend giving it a shot!

This is an adorable restaurant located at the Centerville train depot in Fremont. I loved the quirky decor and inviting atmosphere when I visited this past Monday. There were several options for seating, including dining tables and counter tops. They seemed to be getting steady business in the afternoon, most tables not cleared when I arrived, so I sat myself at a counter seat near the window after ordering at the front. It took about 20 minutes or so for my order to be ready. I ordered the longsilog (island D-light on the menu) with steam white rice, and though they accidentally gave me garlic rice (I didn't want to wait for them to correct the order), it was very flavorful without being too intense with the garlic, so I enjoyed it along with the fried eggs and nicely seasoned, sweet and savory, perfectly cooked longanisa sausages. The entire dish was tasty and satisfying. I also ordered an iced mocha which they forgot to give me, but when I finally got it after reminding them, it was yummy, sweet and chocolatey. Staff was so friendly and made me feel welcome, felt like family. And pay parking available in the lot out front was convenient. Awesome casual spot for some good filipino-american cuisine and breakfast dishes. I'll definitely be back.

Great Pinoy food and service. Friendly staff! Order took a while because we went on a holiday but they were upfront about it. Located right next to the train station. Would definitely recommend.

It was very well hidden in plain sight. It's in the train station building. The food was incredibly delicious and brought me to my daddy's cooking, which is quite frequent. The flavors were spot on and the welcoming atmosphere was definitely home. I had the Tocino breakfast and my husband ordered the breakfast plate with a side of lamb tocino. I am not a fan of lamb but it was incredibly flavorful and no gamey flavor. The price point was lovely, too. I ordered for myself, husband, my three kids, and a friend. Under $100 including tip. Pfft. Where do you find that now a days?! AND! The food was delicious. It doesn't look like much but don't be fooled by Filipino food, it is a flavor packed bomb as soon as it hits your palate. Try them out, you won't regret it. It has a such a welcoming feeling. My heart is thrilled and my stomach is happy and my soul is fed.

Our absolute favorite spot for breakfast in the Bay Area!! From the service, ambiance and food-everything is a 5/5. We travel from Milpitas (30 min) just to eat here because it's SO good. The location is centered in a cozy cute train station, so it goes along with the decor. You are brought back in time while eating. The food menu is simple and packed isn't yuminess. We got the tocino and longanisa, you can't go wrong because they give you a great portion with garlic rice and fried egg (chef kiss!). We also got a vanilla iced lattes-so good!!! Not a heavy coffee taste just the perfect balance between coffee and sweet. This is our to go cozy spot for an amazing breakfast. The owners always make it a point to talk to everybody and really make you feel like you're invited. On top of it their food has no preservatives they make it healthy so you don't end up feeling full or weighed down. If you're in the area or looking for a new breakfast spot, definitely check this place out-your yummy will thank you!

Eh this place is alright. Their Filipino silog breakfast food isn't all that. I ordered a few items; beef and lamb tocino, both had garlic fried rice and an egg on top. I also ordered two sides of longanisa for both entrees. Let me start by saying their garlic fried rice is bland and has no taste of garlic whatsoever. The lamb tocino has that distinct lamb taste which I like. I do enjoy the sweetness of their marinade as well. The regular beef tocino however tasted like sweet beef-steak. I prefer my tocino to be that grilled red pork with that sticky sweetness. This beef tocino was not it. I think the sliced tomatoes are unnecessary; if anything, it should be diced or even a simple serving of atchara will do. The longanisa was super bland and tastes uncooked or raw still. I'm used to longanisa having that sticky texture with that grill taste. The Filipino food here isn't my type but maybe it is for others! The bistro cafe itself is awesome though. I like that it's settled at a train station, lots of memorabilia on the walls, and they serve Equator coffee! The service is friendly too which is always a plus. If you're craving some silog, come on by but for me, I think I'll hold off.

I never "yelp" a place that I haven't tried at least 3 times, but breaking my own rule here for this one. Ambiance - it's vintage, it's train depot, it's DC comics, it's old diner feel. This is a place to satisfy and savor your time either on your own, or with your love, or with a friend. Watching people roll in here...they're not in a rush, and you shouldn't be, too. It's not just the memorabilia on the wall though that makes this place, it's the owner. You can tell that she's the heart. She is welcoming and warm and friendly and remembers customers! Food - there's regular American food then there's the Filipino breakfasts. Not gonna lie, that's why I'm here because I am always in search for the silogs breakfast places! My filipino heart & soul longs for it, always, even if I can make it at home. I had the Tapsilog (Beef tapa, garlic rice, and 2 eggs). The beef was well marinated with a good dose of flavor, my eggs perfectly cooked, and garlic rice that didn't overwhelm the taste buds - perrrrrfect. The latte I ordered was worth the wait - it was actually the best latte I've ever had. Service - As far I can tell, the owner was an all-in-one package (server, chef, bus person, barista, sunshine, and possible therapist). The service was like walking into a friend's house - it was immediately warm & friendly. She acknowledged my presence letting me know to sit anywhere, while she tended to a table full of regular customers. She took my order with a smile and we ended up having a lovely conversation. Honestly, it was the most relaxing time spent sitting at a table waiting for my food and coffee. Cost - My combo meal was $13.95 for big chunks of beef, a scoop of rice, and 2 eggs. 13 freaking 95! You can't be more reasonable than that, you guys. There are other restaurants that charge $18-$22 for the same damn plate, but at $13.95- I labeled it cheap eats. I don't know what you guys are waiting for...umalis na kayo (leave already)!Cleanliness - OMgee, yessss! As in, the place is clean and so are the bathrooms.I also experienced another surprise when I paid the bill - I wasn't allowed to leave a tip. When I asked about it, the owner said "it's your first time here and I never accept tips from a first time customer". Now when the last time you heard a business say that to you? Exactly. You guys still home?! I said "Tara na!" (Come on, let's go!)

What a hidden gem! Located next to the Amtrak station, this little cafe has everything a train lover wants and needs. My little one loved the decor and jumped on his seat every time a train passed by. There is one hour, free public parking right outside the station. Go up the steps closer to the street side to find the cafe. It took me a minute! It's a one woman show, so please be patient! The owner is very sweet and kind. There's plenty of seating--you can sit down and order or just order at the counter and sit. They have traditional sandwiches and burritos but you can add a little Filipino twist by adding pork adobo! We got the pork tocino plate--it comes with garlic rice, two eggs (cooked however you like), and tomato. I also added a side of longanisa that was so delicious! 5/5!My son devoured his plate! When a toddler wolfs down his food, you know it's good. We'll definitely be back!
