Wow. I should have listened to previous reviews and skipped this place. If you like the typical Vietnamese coffee shop with an added level of...I don't even know what to call it, then this is the place for you. Needless to say, it's not for me but to each their own.Hubs and I wandered in as we were in the area and while we are not noobs to the Vietnamese coffee shop scene, I wasn't expecting the lottery tickets EVERYWHERE...the floors were littered with it and the tables had MOUNTAINS of tickets! We literally couldn't walk in without stepping on cigarette ashes and lotto tickets. Again. I'm sure this appeals to some people but personally it's not my cup of tea. So we left but ai definitely saw steady customers hanging out.

Never been one to frequent the million and one Vietnamese coffee shops that SJ has to offer but I'm always down. I stopped by Dolce Espresso to meet up with my girl to do a bit of chit chatting. Being that this was my very first time coming here, I didn't anticipate such a tough time finding parking. Be aware that this strip of establishments can get pretty packed due to the eateries. With that being said, there is plenty of parking behind the coffee shop- knowing this prior would have saved me such a headache. This Viet coffee shop is nice and clean when it comes to ambiance and the level of raunchy-ness. The females were all decked out in traditional ao dai, none of the typical lingerie or bikinis here that day.The females who work here are extremely friendly but they don't seem to speak English very well. I had a hard time just asking them what kind of drinks they offered [beyond coffee]. I highly suggest you bring a Vietnamese speaker or come equipped with photos of what you want. Our order consisted of:Iced TeaSoda Xi Muoi [salted plum]Soda Chanh [lemonade]& Cigarettes Hands down, this was the BEST lemonade I've ever had- not overly sweet and a good amount of tart [which I greatly enjoy]. Granted, it's also the most expensive cup I've ever purchased too. Lmao. Don't come here not expecting to spend some cash and tipping extra just cuz the females are eye candy for you fellas.3 stars overall. I was actually bummed that they don't seem to serve any food here beyond sesame balls and another item very similar to that. Meh

Update: Per another yelper, this place opens by 6AM.The place is well-lit and tables-for-fours are spaciously spread around the large bar-looking/register (there are high chairs if one wants to sit there). Counted eight hanging large (50"+) plasmas/LCD TVs spread around, showing soccer/football/rugby/news channels. The coffee itself was not too sweet nor too strong, and hits the spot. They comp you chrysanthemum teas (other places use jasmine or black tea?), which was really good - can't emphasize that enough! They also have pastries and cookies platters if want regular snacks. Along the biggest wall is one long wooden bench, with about eight bar-games machines. In one corner is a shelf full of lifestyle and sports magazines - some fashion catalogues too. Another corner in the back has a large fish tank. The exit to the back parking is here and so are the men's and women's separate restrooms. Girls are dressed in tight-fitting mini-skirts. Capacity is 69, coughs.

Terrible service, after sitting for 15 minutes the waitress came by and cleared the table with coffee I already paid for. I would not recommend and visit this place with such poor service.

Before anything, I would like say that this is by far my worst experience with a Vietnamese coffee shop.Me and two buddies decided to go somewhere to chill a bit before we hit the theaters. VN coffee again it is... We walked in from the backdoor, which was facing Wells Fargo bank, not knowing they even had a front door. Pretty awkward but that wasn't a problem. A lady in her late 30's walked to our table to take order. I ordered a LIGHT Cafe Sua Da (because my heart can't handle heavy coffee). She seemed like she had the potential to be friendly, but never was. I asked for a deck of cards and she said they don't have cards. (-1 star) My coffee came out tasting like nothing but sweet condensed milk with ice water (-2 stars). I told a friend to go out to the car to grab a deck of cards from the car. We played some cards for about 20 minutes until another lady in her 40's, who looks like the owner of the cafe, came to our table and said "cards wasn't allow." with a bitchy face (-2 stars) And yet they allowed smoking which I believe is illegal in public places. The whole 40 minutes we were there, the waitress never came to refill the ice tea or anything. (-2 stars)Bottom line, This place has a bad atmosphere, with old, unfriendly waitresses, stupid rules that does not allow cards, bad tasting coffee, horrible music, minimal TVs (as I can recall, only 3), and the game machines was not even on. No point of wasting your money here. I would give this place negative stars if I can.

Place is full of smoke, so much so it burns your eyes. The staff is exceptionally rude. I just wanted to get a coffee to go on the way to work. The lady barked at me "$5.50, only one size, CASH ONLY!" I walked out, not only because of the ridiculous price but mainly due to her bad attitude.

What is this place?? It smells like cigarettes and rat piss. I asked to see a menu and they didn't have one. The girl said they had Vietnamese coffee for $6 cash only. I got a small 8 oz drink full of ice and the most disturbing thing I've ever tasted. I feel like I need to disinfect my mouth and change my clothes.
