I don't know if they have recently changed their hours and not updated Yelp, but I've been to Daily Donuts & Sandwiches at 5:45A and 6A and they were closed. Their posted opening time is 5:30A. Not sure what the disconnect is.

The best sugar dusted donuts you'll ever have! The apple fritter is very good too. They run out fast, you'll need to come early.

Delicious donuts! The place/location looked a little run down, but the donuts ARE DELICIOUS. I didn't feel like my mouth was filled with sugar after eating, it was plush/fluffy. Definitely recommend! $1.50 per donut so economically reasonable.

Fresh and fluffy donuts that aren't too oily. I came on a Thursday at 9am and got an apple fritter in the shape of a bear claw, a chocolate-frosted chocolate donut, and a small coffee. The lady tending to me was very sweet - she even threw in two donut holes!I've passed by this place so many times and I'm glad I finally got the chance to pay a visit. Hoping to come back and try a sandwich next time.Bonus: they had a blend of turmeric and black pepper in a shaker for sprinkling in your beverage. :-)

Awesome location, right in the middle of Sunnyvale and walking distance from where I was staying. Super easy for a quick indulgent bite. Even opted for a mango smoothie this morning, which was maybe a little too sugary for such an early start, but it was still satisfying for my sweet tooth. All the donuts were awesome, though I mainly stuck to old fashioned ones just because they are the best.

Was in town for a pickleball tournament and stopped by for some donuts. After seeing the gorgeous croissants in the display case, we had to get a breakfast sandwich as well. It was big enough that it was perfect for two people to share. Place was very clean and food was fresh and delicious. When we finished the tournament, both of us wanted to go back for lunch so we got a turkey sandwich and of course more donuts. Great service with a super sweet couple working. We went back the next morning and will definitely be back anytime that we are in the area.

I hadn't had much of a breakfast several weekends ago before dropping my car off for service at the dealer nearby. While they were working on it, I walked over to downtown Sunnyvale to take a look at the new Whole Foods and AMC movie theater that had been built there. I remembered that there had once been a place called Star's Donuts in a mini-strip mall down Sunnyvale avenue, so I headed that direction after surveying the Whole Foods and the theater. In the space where Star's Donuts used to be is now Daily Donuts & Sandwiches. They used to have another location in a shopping center at El Camino and Pastoria, but they closed it since that shopping center was slated to be razed (and eventually was). When the former Star's Donuts closed here, Daily Donuts moved in.I walked in and glanced at the donuts behind the glass. I ended up ordering a chocolate Long John / bar and a glazed donut as well as a medium coffee with milk and cream. The nice lady behind the counter got my order ready and rung me up in the span of a few minutes. The total cost was $5.05, which is an excellent price if you ask me. The donuts were both pretty good! They weren't the same quality as the famous Stan's in Santa Clara, but I thought they were still flavorful and filling. The coffee was unremarkable. I didn't get a chance to see or ask if they brew it on site, but, alas, it's no big deal either way.Overall, I'm glad I paid these guys a visit. It's small businesses like these that I really enjoy patronizing and supporting. They also serve bagels and sandwiches, in case you're not in the mood for donuts.I hope those of you reading this think of a business like this that you can support at a time like this when many small businesses everywhere are struggling to make it due to the shutdown. If you wanted pizza, would you rather go to Pizza Hut or a local Bay Area pizza joint like Maldonado's, Cicero's, or Golden Boy? If you were looking for a particular book, would you rather go to Barnes and Noble (and risk getting diarrhea), or a local Bay Area bookstore like Leigh's, Kepler's, or City Lights? If you were in the mood for a burrito, would you rather go to Chipotle or a local taqueria like Tacos Jalapa, Los Altos Taqueria, or El Farolito? And if you were hungry for a donut, would you rather go to Krispy Kreme or a local donut shop like Daily Donuts, Donut Wheel, Stan's, or Bob's Donuts? You get the picture. Give your patronage and money to local, mom-and-pop businesses. They need it now more than ever.SUPPORT LOCAL/SMALL BUSINESSES.4 stars

The donuts are fantastic. Minus one point for sometimes not being open at their listed hours. Sad to go and find them closed.

Too stinky inside with frying... air quality inside is terrible, when you walk out, you can smell cooking oil all over you.
