Although the place isn't always full, you have to stop in and get a thing or two. On tuuradays they have chicken empanadas and man those were amazing, 3 bite sized ones per order. The guano was well toasted and the mojo came through nicely. Maduros were on point. I cannot wait to go back and try more. It is super casual though so take out seems to be most popular

Attentive service and the meals were delicious. Ambiance felt very much like a mom and pop shop where everything was made fresh and the people were friendly. It was never crowded rather it was frequented, with people picking up to-go orders, having a solo meal, or using the patio to have a meal with their SO and their pup. I dislike crowds, and I also am wary of empty restaurants. This place doesn't have those issues. The vibe is just right. Now the food. The maduros were excellent. I had a small side like 1-2 with my meal and immediately had to order more. A couple was not enough! The classic Cubano hit the spot, and the chicken bowl was a very homey and comforting dish. The sauces in the bottles added flavor to the dishes, however they were too mild, and we had to order a side of diced jalapeños to hit the heat level we were craving. The guava cheesecake was also delightful. Parking was a breeze even on a Saturday thanks to their lot next door. Cuban Kitchen is a down-to-earth place for a weekend lunch with a friend, loved one, or family. I plan to return regularly for the food and service.

Yep, this place is still FAB. I especially appreciate though, that they are great for people who have a gluten allergy. My friend can't have anything that might have had cross-contamination, so we called to double check. They confirmed that as long as it was nothing deep fried (which unfortunately were the maduros). We both ordered plates for takeout. I got the grilled chicken which was suuuuper delicious. Their ropa vieja is also delicious. There was a little bit of a mixup though and they forgot to tell us that maduros come with the plates automatically, and they just put them on top of your side. Thankfully, they had the beans and the ropa vieja in its own containers, so it was only the broccoli he picked as a side. I called and ask them if they could re-make the broccoli and they very kindly offered to remake all of it. They were so nice! We both really appreciated that. I lowkey regret not getting the beans (I got the mixed veggies). I stole some of his and they still hit.

I can't believe that I've driven past this place for years and only recently tried it. Cuban Kitchen is now one of my local faves! So far, I've really enjoyed trying their plates and their amazing fried appetizers. Their plates include a generous portion of meat (or vegetables/meat replacement), rice, black beans, and maduros (sweet plantains). I usually get their pollo mojito, which has a great garlicy flavor that pairs well with the earthy beans. (Plus, you can swap the default white rice for yellow rice for a $1 upcharge, which is definitely worth it.) Their appetizers include yuca fries (which are so airily crispy), tostones (which are fried perfectly), and maduros (which are always plump and floral), and you can get all three as the sampler platter. What helps take their food from really good to great are their sauces. They bring three sauces to your table: Guabanero BBQ Sauce, Guantanamo Aioli, and Cienfuegos. The Guabanero is fruity from the guava, but has just enough of a kick from the habanero, and it's a thicker sauce that goes well with their meat. The Cienfuegos has a similar flavor profile, but as a dedicated hot sauce, it's a little hotter and thinner. The aioli is creamy without being too rich, so it really complements the fried appetizers. And they give you the sauces in full-size squeeze bottles, so you can use as much as you like!I'm Puerto Rican, and the vibe of this place was as if my grandma had opened a restaurant. It's a great reminder that Boricuas and Cubanos are pájaros de las mismas alas!

So happy with this restaurant! We ordered maduras, vaca frita, yuca Fritas, surf n' turf, pastelito de guava and the guava cranberry nectar drink!l yummy dinner...The maduros are sweet and well cooked and not too mushy as some can be, goes so well with their aioli sauce! (Recommend dipping). The yuca is also so good with the aioli. We enjoyed the surf n turf and got really generous with the sauces in it.The vaca frita is a little salty so I dipped it in a lot of aioli lol I can't get enough of their homemade aioli. The pastelito de guava is NOT on their menu but be sure to ask for it, our server Angel gave us an extra guava sauce on the side, he said it'll be good for dipping the edges of the pastry... he was right! Come by! All good flavors! Try the sauces! Thanks Angel!

Cuban Kitchen has a pretty small menu, but everything I have ordered had all been good to excellent. On this occasion, I had their bowl with chicken. It came with rice and beans on the bottom, Romain lettuce, picco de gallo, and chicken. They brought three different kinds of sauce to go with it. There was a BBQ sauce, an aioli of some sort, and a thinner savory one. After trying them all in my bowl, I opted to mix and match to taste. The salad stuff was fresh and crunchy. The chicken was flavorful and juicy and the rice and beans was so good that even for a person who don't even like beans, I ate them all up.Not to be missed is their sweetened ice coffee. Strong, tasty and so refreshing.

I'm not in this area often but I've come to find so many hidden gems! My favorite restaurants are the ones that feel like you're in someone's home and this hit that feeling!I brought 5 of my friends and we all had the best time eating delicious Cuban food. I got the Cubano and it was packed with flavor. I loved the pressed bread and the fresh and simple ingredients. This was the exact definition of a Cubano, nothing fancy, just the way I like it!I think the most unique thing about this place was their plethora of sauces you can add to your dish! I swear I could've drunken the whole bottle of garlic aioli. I would totally buy that if it was sold on its own. That with their Angry Fries were to die for. The whole table finished them up so quickly! I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

We haven't had Cuban food in a while, and since we were at Hillsdale mall, we thought we'd try it. This place is adorable--small, lots of natural light, making the most of the small space. I started with a sake mojito--it's made with rice wine instead of rum. It was absolutely delicious. Then I had a couple of empanadas, fries, sweet plantains. All of it was fantastic. My husband loved his bowl, too. We brought home leftovers that we supplemented with a couple more to-go items from the menu, that's how much we loved it. So flavorful, the service was fantastic, and the prices were totally budget-friendly, particularly for the Bay Area. I will return, and I'll recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Amazing service! The food was 5 star quality!! I've been searching for a Cuban place for years and finally found one that is by far the best I have ever had! The staff is super friendly and they are very quick too! Drinks came out in seconds and the food was served within minutes from the time we placed our orders! The chef/owner even came out to greet us in the end to have a conversation about how our dining experience was. We told him it was by far the best we have ever had! I highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back!
