Copenhagen Crown Bakery & Deli

The cream puff was the claimed favorite and was okay. Another item I love to see at the Danish kind of bakeries is almond items. It was just okay. I think new recipes or bakers may be required.

Been here several times in this past year, and I like some things better than others. I've tried 5 or 6 different things, the croissant or cinnamon items being my favorite. My daughter got a chocolate ganache slice of cake, and she let me have a bit, and I'll be honest, it was dry, no moisture, and barely any chocolate cream inside, it was like a piece of paper thin....and even thinner ganache! How do they do it with such a cheap hand? Oye. Another odd thing is they do not have prices on anything, so you either have to ask the price and feel like a tool or get surprised with what they ring you up at the register. The older couple that works there (maybe the owners?) are non-smiling, seem unhappy. I've also been charged different prices on the same items, depending on the day? I guess that was ok on the day I got charged less, but not too happy the day I got charged more!! Anyway, it's the bakery nearest my home so I do get tempted to grab a sweet now and then. But I do wish they'd be more transparent on pricing, and maybe smile once in a while? Is that too much to ask?

Mediocre cake but not too sweet. Sponge Parker of the cake was not fluffy the way I am normally used to. I like my cake with a fine and airy sponge park and a light cream filling. Oddly, they didn't ask what color was wanted and choose an Irish green color for us. The filling of the cake was morning like a strawberry jam.

Copenhagen is no more, ownership changed in mid-March, per the employee who helped me last week and some printed signs and materials; and it's now Hermes Bakery, with Colombian items being introduced. I chose several items for myself and family. It was a mixed bag for freshness - hot cross buns, a pastry that's like a croissant with custard inside, and apricot thumbprint cookies were fresh and pretty tasty; but an individual slice of burnt almond cake and a scone were super dry, and the cake had hardly any almond flavor maybe because of staleness. I couldn't carry a big box, so bags were used for everything - that wouldn't have been an issue except the slice of cake was inexplicably put on top of other items and thin pastry paper wrapping wasn't enough to hold it, so it made a big mess.With the prices being charged ($30+ for the order), and the hit/miss issues, there's nothing compelling enough for me to return anytime soon; but I might if I see good reviews for new Colombian offerings.

Ordered a cake from here per special request for a work celebration and it was a huge hit! I placed my order over the phone on Friday for pickup the following Monday. The woman who helped me was very polite and helpful. She asked for which cakes I wanted and how many people I was looking to feed. At first I was set on ordering two different round cakes, but after finding out the prices I had to rethink about my order. She kindly offered to make one large cake with both flavors! I got to order a half sheet cake with half burnt almond and half strawberry. This cake was MASSIVE and everyone loved it. I enjoyed the burnt almond cake the most, it was not too sweet, had fresh whipped cream, and generously covered in almond slices. They have plenty of pastries in their display cases and many of the other customers in the store were buying boxes full of them. I'm looking forward to ordering from here again!

Used to be good, but now that it's changed hands, cookies are dry, probably frozen and baked ahead. Hardly any jamb in them. Cake slices very dry

The food is not good. There isn't much else to say. We had three different things and same result. Also this is no longer named Copenhagen crown Bakery. It's called Hermes bakery. FYI.

The owner has changed. Now it is a Colombian bakery. The quality has changed too. It was obvious that many of the pastries were not freshly baked, and they were at least 1 day old. The ambiance is not bad, it is a typical bakery. The prices were high for that quality.

Thank you MR. KI you are a life saver to me. It was my daughter's 2nd birthday and I was not aware of any bakery out here who would bake customize cake, then luckily I found your bakery. I was bit confused and skeptical regarding my order for the birthday cake. The cake was soo amazing and it tasted so good that all of my guests even took name and address of your bakery.

Nice folks at the counter, very good pastries, always a pleasure to visit and find a nice dessert when the 'need' strikes. :D A little story... The other day, I bought a small box of pastries to gift to the guys at the auto shop who work on my classic car... They're always doing me favors ...Well, the next day I got a call from the shop owner. "Dang if those weren't the best pastries I've had in years! Don't tell me where the shop is, I don't want to get too fat!" A good place to get pastries and coffee!
