Charlotte Truffles

Bumped into this shop while at the International Tea Festival. Owner and helper were giving out samples. I purchased a build your own..$26 for 6 very small, but delicious Vietnamese chocolate. Yummy... finished in a sitting.

This past Thanksgiving I went to SJ Made's Holiday Fair and saw Charlotte Truffles here. They had a booth and were offering samples that I couldn't refuse. I ended up caving in. A pricey little box, but for this quality, it's to be expected.I sampled Vietnamese coffee and raspberry yuzu. I much preferred the tartness of the raspberry yuzu. The Vietnamese coffee was more on the dense and darker side which I wasn't really feeling. I ended up getting a custom 6-piece box: raspberry yuzu (x2), rose water saffron (x2), and sesame praline (x2).The raspberry yuzu was extra yummy with the chocolate this time. The bitterness and tartness went well together. The sesame praline was interesting. The filling had a more crispy and gritty texture as a result from what appears to be sugar crystals. The sesame was nicely incorporated so that it wasn't overpowering. I really liked it. The rose water saffron was interesting. It definitely had floral and earthy notes. This is among their most popular flavors, but it just wasn't for me unfortunately. It slightly crossed the floral soap threshold for my taste buds.No matter, I know I will be back for the raspberry yuzu and sesame praline someday, and I hope to try other unique flavors they have as well.

Amazing truffles! The flavor combinations are very unique and thoughtful. Will definitely be buying more in the future.

I'm currently residing in San Francisco. My partner and I found them today at the local Fall Holiday Chocolate Salon 2022. I'm happy that we found them! Personally the Raspberry Chocolate Truffle was my favorite but all of them are delicious! High quality ingredients and excellent customer service.

Charlotte's truffles are truly something special!The flavors are creative and adventurous yet harmonious--and the truffles are very beautiful to look at. We have ordered boxes from Charlotte multiple times for all our special occasions and all the flavors we've tried from her has been excellent. My personal favorites are sesame praline, raspberry yuzu, on point and sea salt caramel.As a bonus, she is very responsive and helpful if you have to contact her regarding any dietary restrictions. I highly recommend Charlotte Truffles.

We bought 8 of these at the holiday craft fair in Santa Clara last weekend and enjoyed one each evening as our treat. These are beautiful truffles and were exceptionally good. Since they are so pretty to look at, they'd be a wonderful gift. From all the flavors we were in love with the Mexican Chocolate Truffle. I'd go back and by more of those in a heartbeat. My partner said the Vietnamese Coffee one was equally as good. The others were lovely, but these were true standouts in flavor and complexity.

I ordered some chocolates for valentine's/galentines day and they were a hit. First off the packaging was so pretty and ready to gift. The chocolates themselves looked like jewels and tasted as good as they looked. My favorites were the rose and mango but you can't go wrong with any of them. The flavors are all unique and complex. I really liked that the strawberry matcha wasn't too bitter from the matcha. Pick up was easy as you pick a time and then go to Peet's in Santa Clara. Fyi there's a 10 minute window for pick up. I highly recommend the chocolates from this shop and will definitely be ordering more in the future and in bigger quantity because they go quick.

Charlotte is one hard-working gal! Since my last review, she's continued to further develop more complex and exciting truffle flavors as well as refining her classic favorites. I've tried amazing new flavors like rose water saffron, Vietnamese coffee, mango cardamom jelly with cayenne, and also her tasty chocolate bars with figs and nuts. Though she doesn't have a storefront, this busy gal frequently travels throughout the Bay Area and her truffles are available for purchase online or if you're able to catch her on her farmers market routes.
