We visited Cafe Venetia over the weekend. Tired from all the walking around and search for parking. The last we visited Cafe Venetia was back in 2021 and I'm happy to report, it is still the great cafe it was back in 2021.We had a slice of the Almond Cake (I forgot what it was called) as well as the Chocospice and Cappucino Viennese.Cake: It was tasty, it was dense and it was really good. A slice was enough for 4 adults to taste and savour the deliciousness.Chocospice: Hot chocolate you say? It was more like a tasty chocolate and milk syrup. It was heavy and delectable. I'd definitely come back for more.Cappuchino Viennese: The smooth coffee, the creamy whipped cream (not sweet, just perfect) and the chocolate powder was simply marvelous. It is the whole package. The coffee was just smooth and makes you want to keep sipping it again and again.Service: Top notch, the baristas were awesome and witty.Ambiance: I've never been to EU but comparing the ambiance to a traditional European cafe (googled it), looks convincing to me.All in all - Full 5 stars for me. I am definitely coming back and this time, I won't wait for 2-3 years!

Feels like an authentic European cafe. They have some different types of coffee drinks and pastries that you won't find at other coffee shops especially the chains. Service is simple you order at the counter and pick up when it's ready. They don't have a tipping option when you purchase I like that a lot. Extra points for me for that.

If you're looking for a coffee shop with good drinks and small sweet and savory bites that's open late in downtown Palo Alto, this is the place to go. They're open until 10 PM from Sunday to Thursday and until 11 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. I recently met an old friend here after work, and it was the perfect setting--we could catch up for hours in a cozy corner in the Italian-inspired interior (outdoor sidewalk seating is also available). The service was quick, and I enjoyed the selection of tea, opting for a rose-flavored one. Although I can't drink coffee, the Italian coffees seemed to be popular among other guests. While there were only a few savory options left by the evening, I thoroughly enjoyed my open-faced sandwich. There were still pastry and dessert options if you felt like something sweet. It would have been nice if staff had checked in after a while to see if we wanted anything else, but reordering at the counter is standard for coffee shops. Overall, I had a great experience and will be back.

Good vibes and tasty offerings! there are lots of small tables inside and outside for chatting with friends and relaxing alone. The hot chocolate is not too sweet and very chocolate forward! It is a bit thicker than the average hot chocolate but is still very drinkable. The orange cake is a bit on the drier side but is perfect with thick pieces of embedded candied orange rind. Overall on the pricier end but I think it's worth it!!

- One of the few late night coffee/dessert places on University Ave.- The chocolate drink is good, but very chocolaty and I thought it would be warmer.- We also ordered coffee/espresso with a shot of chocolate, which was good.- Had the apricot tart, good for the season.- Great ambience and vibe inside and outside seating. There seemed to be a lot of regulars and late night happy hour. Customers didn't mind standing outside, while we opted for a seat inside where it was warmer and cozy.- Staff is friendly and efficient, definitely committed because they're open late hours.

Can't make it all the way to Europe to try the viral thickkkkk hot chocolate ? Cafe Venetia in Palo Alto offers a wide variety of sipping chocolates and coffee beverages as well as freshly made desserts. I love getting the tazza and a mascarpone profiterole. They also had chocolate vanilla and pistachio that day as well as tiramisu, chocolate mousse, tarts, cakes, sandwiches, and other pastries. Love that this place has lots of indoor and outdoor seating as well as open late.

Good coffee shop with a nice, relaxed vibe. The hot chocolate was good, as was the chocolate orange rind. There were multiple hot chocolate flavors, from the standard to spiced (such as ginger and cardamom). The drinks were provided to us very soon after we ordered them.

Watch out, they add a mandatory "tip" and hide it under "taxes" which is probably illegal. It's a pity, because aside from subtly ripping you off in this way, it's a good place.Well, it's also annoying that they won't accept cash. I just won't go anywhere that doesn't accept cash. Dependency on credit cards is a pernicious evil. You'll get cut off one day for wrongthink, like the Canadian truckers did for protesting the mandatory death jabs.
